So the new, or old, couple upstairs on "How I Met Your Mother" was always "playing the bagpipes."

Tonight "How I Met Your Mother" aired the episode I have been waiting for ever since the show started - they taught me exactly how to successfully date Robin Scherbatsky. I know, Ted was ostensibly teaching Barney how to date her, but I think that was just an excuse on the writers' part. It would be...

If there's one thing that "How I Met Your Mother" is great at - there isn't, there are many things, but for the sake of argument I'm going with one - it would be messing with time. Tonight was a classic example, Ted had a blind date with the same woman he'd had one with seven...

When we last left "How I Met Your Mother" in May, Ted was becoming a college professor and Barney and Robin were becoming a couple. Or were they?

'How I Met Your Mother': Ted helps make that 'Wedding Bride' movie

Poor Ted. I feel for the guy, he's really struggling -- the whole one man architecture company hasn't taken off, he's got no girlfriend, and at the start of tonight's "How I Met Your Mother" not only was it raining, but he was standing face-to-face with Stella. Plus, Stella was still not the one (thank goodness) ...

Joshradnor_howimetyourmother_s3_240 Life is about the little things, it's almost entirely made up of them really. If I could, I'd draw up some sort of swell pie chart illustrating just how much life is made up of the little things. The chart would show that 99.5 percent of all things are the little things and only 0.5 percent of things are the big things. I don't have to make that chart though, tonight's "How I Met Your Mother" provided the perfect example.

Neilpatrickharris_howimetyourmother_240 Are there hard and fast rules on when it's acceptable to call someone you're interested in whom you just met? To me, it seems like an awfully fine line -- call too soon and you're a creepy stalker, wait too long and the other party is no longer going to be interested. On tonight's "How I Met Your Mother," Barney proposed three days as the right length of time. I'm not sure about that, but at least he had a good reason.
