Previously on Ghost Whisperer, Jim was shot and killed but refused to cross over, instead inhabiting the body of an accident victim named Sam but having no memory of Melinda.

Since it happened last week, I'm not counting this as a spoiler: yes, Jim is indeed dead. He is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired... but not quite gone to meet his maker.  Ah, yes, therein lies our episode of Ghost Whisperer tonight. For years, we've watched Melinda work to cross ghosts over. It's her way in the world - find a ghost, cross it over. But what if the ghost is her soulmate, and he has no intention of going anywhere?

Previously on Ghost Whisperer, Melinda was warned that death might brush off on things she touches and she and Jim were having trouble getting pregnant.

Halloween and the Ghost Whisperer... it's like chocolate and peanut butter. It goes hand in hand! Time to turn off the porch light and ignore the yells from the kids outside. But is tonight's Ghost Whisperer a trick or a treat?

Jim and Melinda are setting sail for a quick cruise on the Claridon, an old ship that is about to be decommissioned, and so it's packed full of ghosts. Some are even charming, which delights Melinda. If you can't turn off the ghosties, at least you can vacation with some nice ones.

Kiley was nice enough to let me fill in for her on Ghost Whisperer tonight. I am thrilled at the addition of Jamie Kennedy to the cast. I've been in love with him since Scream. When they killed him off in the second movie, I let out an audible, "Nooooo!" in the theatre. Let's see what ghosties are restless tonight...

Tonight, the Ghost Whisperer really brought brief term therapy to the living as well as the dead. With a psychotherapist, no less. How is it the dead have better coverage than I get on my health plan?

October wouldn't be the same without ghosts, now, would it? Our favorite Ghost Whisperer Melinda is back to give us our autumnal dose of the heebie-jeebies. We bid adieu to a favorite character, and welcome a newbie in this first episode of the fourth season.
