'Fringe': Method to the madness
Fringe is all about a world in which science is pushed to the limit. It's sorta like taking the highway to the danger zone, but not in a Tom Cruise way. More like an Albert Einstein/Stephen Hawking way. Up until now, each exhibit in the worldwide experiment known as The Pattern has been isolated. Its Fringe's own version of the Mystery of the Week. But tonight, we saw the culmination of several Pattern pieces finally coming together for the first time. And in doing so, the show revealed that these individual mysteries were in fact all steps towards a much larger goal.
'House' and Cuddy, sitting in a tree, F-I-G-H-T-I-N-G
Because Jessi is off getting a fancy pants masters degree while I'm destined to die a couch potato, I'll be your guide to the world of the childish and immature on House tonight. Who knows? We may get around to discussing some medical mysteries, too.
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' delves into the history books with Cameron
It may seem a little incongruous to have a Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles episode start at a New Year's Eve speakeasy party with a bunch of flappers, but that's exactly what we were treated to tonight. It all seemed so great and special, right up until a fire began and everyone started running for the exit. That sort of thing puts a damper on parties, even New Year's Eve ones.
Prison Break: Picking up the pieces
Last week on Prison Break, the Breakouts realized that Don Self completely screwed them. This week, they get to return the favor -- after some death-defying and Hail-Mary-pass activities, of course. Plus, T-Bag is going to be in SUCH big trouble...
'Bones': The (rich) kids aren't alright
I'm starting to think several people on the Bones writing staff are arguing with their parents, spouses or significant others about why they don't want to have children. This is the second episode in a row where some punk kid did something horrific. What next -- a toddler terrorist? An infant serial killer? A genocidal zygote?
'Fringe': Dream a little dream of me
So what does an extra-long episode of Fringe look like? Well, sort of like a regular episode, although bloated. Only fitting to show such an episode just before Thanksgiving, really. This week's outing could be compared to your Uncle Ted about an hour after ingesting his body weight in cranberry sauce: not exactly the shining example of "the more, the merrier." While individual elements were interesting, tonight's episode showed that sometimes less is indeed more.
'Prison Break': My betrayer, my Self
This week on Prison Break, the Breakouts defeat their enemies, achieve their goal, vanquish those who would harm them -- and then discover they're just as screwed as they'd always been. Dagnabbit! When are these crazy kids going to get their shot at a shirtless paradise?
'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' reveals Jesse's plan
Last week on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Sarah had some dreams. This week, it was Ellison's turn. Maybe next week we'll be treated Cameron dreaming. Anyone want to guess if her dreams are of electric sheep?
'Kitchen Nightmares': The chef who quit during service
Have you ever noticed that every week the announcer tells us that "this week on Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon faces his biggest challenge yet?" Well, the announcer does (or at least something to that effect). I wouldn't really have called this week a "challenge," just a bunch of semi-incompetents working at a restaurant together.
'Bones' joins the mile-high murder club
Bones does its part to save the airlines money by making its viewers swear off airplane food for life. Distract yourself from your flight-induced hunger pangs by wallowing in all the spiffy Bonesian banter, celebrating the return of "scary woman" Caroline Julian, and contemplating Sweets' competitive-karaoke chops.
