'The Event' recap: Suicide Party!

Sophia is making plans to make room on Earth for two and a half billion aliens, and her first step is going to be killing President Martinez. I don't think she's going to get anywhere by killing one person at a time, especially since she has to enlist Vice President Jarvis's help. He's one of the people on the show that's already failed once at killing the president, and she wants to use him? Crazy. If only she had a secret mole in the White House she could use instead.

Senator Lewis whips up some paranoia about the First Lady maybe being an alien, but the First Lady convinces her husband that the only thing she has to hide is that her parents were really from the Dominican Republic, but they were pretending to be Cuban in order to get political asylum. So they were in the country illegally.

Leila's unhappy about being a bird in a gilded cage, and also about being locked in with a bunch of people that are about to kill a few billion humans. So she tries calling 911 with a stolen phone, but it turns out they can't trace your call if your phone doesn't have GPS enabled. So she calls Sean, who's actually got his phone still turned on even though he's in France.
