agt-fighting-gravity.jpgIt all comes down to this, folks. The "America's Got Talent" finals between Fighting Gravity, Michael Grimm, Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho. Unlike past years (since Terry Fator won), I actually really like all four remaining acts and will be happy no matter who wins.

After a needless, time-filling recap of the entire season and a commercial break, we get to the performances.

1. Prince Poppycock
"Nessum Dorma" is the call tonight, complete with a suit of armor, a giant feathered headdress and a princess suspended from the ceiling. It's very dramatic and very cool. The vocals are just lovely, strong and soaring. Piers buzzes him! WTF, Piers?! I mean, wow. I hope that was an accidental leaning on the buzzer.

Piers says it was not a mistake and tells Poppycock that he blew it by losing his fun and channels his Simon Cowell when he calls it "self-indulgent." Sharon is outraged that Piers would buzz him on the final and it makes me wonder if Piers is using some double-secret-probation-voodoo-reverse-psychology by buzzing him. Hmm. Well, I liked it. Either way, Prince says the entire show is "a dream come true."

Hey, look! Lauren Graham and Mae Whitman from "Parenthood" are in the audience! I just started watching "Parenthood" Season 1 TODAY and it's amazing. Really, I'm not lying. The acting and writing is stellar, please start watching.

2. Michael Grimm
The song for the finals is "When a Man Loves a Woman" with a bad-ass electric guitar. It's fantastic -- especially the chorus right after the bridge. It's so raw and emotional. However, I don't think he can win the competition, but hopefully this show will be a launching pad for Michael because I really enjoy his voice.

3. Jackie Evancho
In a pre-performance interview, Jackie talks about sacrificing things for her singing. She told us in an interview that her favorite place to sing is "on the stage. Just any stage." She's the cutest thing ever.

Her performance for the finals is "Ave Maria," with backing orchestra and stained glass projections on the stage. It's angelic. Gorgeous. Amazing. Beautiful. There just aren't enough words. I mean, no, she's not the best opera singer of all time or something, but she's 10 freakin' years old!

Before we get to Fighting Gravity, there is a medley of performances from the acts already eliminated. It's cute and the potential for the tour is cool.

4. Fighting Gravity

The routine for the finals is centered around doors and adds extra visible men, some in red instead of white and they add a second story.. At one point, the guys on bottom go upside down. It's really cool. There are a couple slip-ups, but it's a really neat act.

So who is going to win? Honestly, I have no idea. All four of them did excellent jobs and even the dark hose Michael Grimm came out and nailed it. It really is anybody's game and I'll be happy no matter what.

Michael Grimm, should win, he is the best singer.

i love miceal grimms voice i think hes got what he needs to win .and as far as the first time he was good but the tonigts singing he out did himself on that song ''when a man loves woman'' it was the best

I think Micheal Grimm is the most amazing singer as far as male vocals go he has come so far not to get anywhere. He has an amazing talent and he did the best vocal performance on a man loves a woman plus he's a cutie pie. Also lil miss Jackie was a world class performer what voice on a 10 year old AMAZING!!! My votes wouldn't go through but I'm rooting for my fav's

Come on everyone. Poppycock is NOT good for vegas, yes he's a good singer but he will do better and be paid better in Broadway. And Jackie, yes she's cute and all but she slightly creeps me out. shes to perfect. and shes only 10 years old! Vegas is no life for a child! let her live a childhood! MICHAEL GRIMM is one of the best singers ever, hes talented and he should get it. PLEASE VOTE FOR HIM (4802) and Fighting Gravity, they were outstanding! They were meant for vegas! PLEASE VOTE ALSO!!! (4804)

This is NOT about the best Vegas act. The winner does NOT get a Vegas contract. They get headliner bill on the 25 city AGT tour that stops in Vegas - ONCE. That's the extent of the Vegas connection.

I voted for the most talented - Jackie.

what was the mistake that fighting gravity made?? i didn't see it.

@ Brittany
The mistake that Fighting Gravity made, and the one that Piers was reffering to, was quite a noticable one. There are two guys on the bottom on the bottom and two guys on the top, right? Good vs Evil. Did you ever notice what happened to the guy on the bottom right hand side? He just disapeared. If you look closely, though, you can tell that he takes off his costume. His black shirt is then blocking the red door. He's just standing there for about 3 seconds. It was a mistake big enough to cost them the prize.

Personally I think that out of all the acts Fighting Gravity are the ones that deserve to win this Talent show. It's a unique act, something we've never seen before, we've seen amazing child singers, amazing opera singers and amazing soulful singers, but these guys are doing something we've never seen before. Granted yes they made a slight mistake this evening, but then Jackie's vocals were not perfect, watch it again, she missed some notes towards the end, not angelic like I keep hearing. Prince Poppycock did not have his strongest vocals this evening either. Michael was perfect as far as I can tell, but it's something I've seen millions of times before. For pure uniqueness, because really we can all agree that all the acts have amazing talent, I'd have to vote for Fighting Gravity. And lets not forget that Jackie already has a CD out....

Personally I think you should be 16 years old at least to compete. When you see a 10 year old that isn't really any better than the rest, unfortunately people will most likely vote for the child. That's just not fair.

Jackie's site says she's singing at Carnegie Hall in December with David Foster so she is on her way.Vote for Poppycock!
