'America's Got Talent': Prince Poppycock advances, YouTube acts next week
"America's Got Talent" has almost set the semi-finals -- next week, YouTubers round out the quarter-finals. But first ...
The first trio is Murray Sawchuck, Doogie Horner and Mary Ellen. It's unfortunate that Murray and Doogie are in the same group because they're both interesting and talented. And then Murray goes through, which is the right move but it's a shame to lose Doogie nonetheless.
Just btw, Murray is a far better illusionist than Antonio Restivo. Restivo has lots of fire and flash, but his tricks aren't as good.
The second trio is Taylor Mathews, the Maniacs and Lindsey Sterling. I'm going to guess Taylor makes it, he's so Bieber-esque. Lindsey is a very talented girl, but not right for this show. And then, predictably, Taylor is through.
The next trio is Strikers All Stars, No Covenant and Prince Poppycock. It's no shock that his royal highness advances.
The final group is Anna and Patryk, Rudi Macaggi and ArcAttack. Rudi is eliminated first, which is pretty surprising to me. He is one of the most Vegas acts in the competition. So it's down to Anna/Patryk and ArcAttack.
Piers puts through Anna/Patryk, Howie puts through ArcAttack and then Sharon puts through ArcAttack. That surprises me, just in the fact that children's acts usually do really well on this show, whether they deserve to or not.

I truly love Prince Poppycock and hope he wins the whole thing!
Andrea how come you're not reviewing the performance shows anymore?
Anyone else have sound delay issues with Nick's talking leading up to Brett Michaels' performand and during his performance? It's like the picture was live but the sound was tape delayed. Did the producers think Michaels was going to start swearing or something? It drives me crazy when the camera zooms in on his mouth and it is clearly not moving but yet he is still singing. I'd call lipsynch except it happened with Nick too.
I agree with Piers putting through Anna/Patryk. There is no question that ArcAttack has the flash and bang, but could they basically do the same thing for a full Las Vegas Show?
A number of tonight's contestants could easily go to Las Vegas successfully as supporting acts. A great group of people.
Anna/Patryk are not a good act for vegas. Sin city would eat them alive, not to mention they will lose all novelty once they hit puberty.
I love Prince Poppycock!
I hope John Quale/Prince Poppycock wins the whole thing hands down. I think we are seeing a REAL star in the making happen right under our noses and some of us recognize it when we see it.
The Baroque-Roccoco persona/caricature that John Quale has created in Prince Poppycock is sheer genius but is nothing without THAT voice of his and his ability to own any stage he is on.
Quale/Poppycock is a blessed relief from the generic preprogrammed pop "stars" of the past ten years or so, who need their voices digitally enhanced to even put down a track.
This man is the genuine article, the real deal and I am glad I am getting to see him in my lifetime. So thank you AGT for that!
Oh yea, and the American public needs to vote off the mediocre singers that they and the judges have put through this far. We don't need any more of the same ho-hum, minimum talent singer types. Haven't we have enough of that already? Spare me, spare us all. Just sayin'.
I Love Prince Poppycock and think he is the most talented out of all of them
Prince Poppycock has made it through to the next round but there will be no contest when he has to face a runoff with Michael Grimm and Debra Romer. My prediction is it will come down to those two. They are the best of the lot, even though neither is as good as Kevin Skinner.
that;s why they call him the prince, the prince has the voice of royalty.
