arcattack-agt.jpg"America's Got Talent" finds its first five members for the Top 10.

The first group of semi-finalists brought down is ArcAttack, Dan Sperry, Future Funk and Kristina Young. Well, I hope ArcAttack advances, but I fear Future Funk will snake their spot. And then bombshell! No one is moving on from this group. WOW! That stinks. ArcAttack is good enough to go on, I knew somebody would sneak in there who doesn't deserve it and clearly it's going to be Christina & Ali. Gag me.

The first performance is Recycled Percussion from last season, rocking out to Heart's "Barracuda." This is fun, but since it's just them playing along with a track, I'm kinda bored. Just as I type that, however, they start actually drumming without a track and that gets much more interesting. Cool. Also, congrats on the show at the MGM Grand.

Jimmy Fallon is up next, which is a bit weird but he is hosting the Emmys on Sunday, so I suppose he gets a pass. His bit is doing impressions that he did for his very first talent show, changing every 10 seconds. He does Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Norm McDonald, Gilbert Gottfried, PeeWee Herman, Jeff Foxworthy, Eddie Murphy, Larry the Cable Guy, Stephen Wright and Adam Sandler. It's pretty great. Nick Cannon then comes out and shows off his Cosby impression, which is delightful. Who knew Nick could do that?

The next group of semi-finalists is AscenDance and Anna and Patryk. Oh noes. No, no, no. And then Anna and Patryk advance. I'm very excited for them, but that's too bad about AscenDance.

How could ArcAttack and AscenDance both not advance? That stinks.

Kylie Minogue
is the next performance and she's fine, but not really my thing. I enjoy her remake of "The Locomotion" from like 20 years ago, though.

The third group of semi-finalists is Taylor Mathews, Michael Grimm and Prince Poppycock. Well, clearly since they did a "no one got through" group, all three of them got through, right? Though I don't think Mathews deserves to. And then, in what is no big shock, they all advance.

And the last spot of the night is between Antonio Restivo, Connor Doran and Christina & Ali. Really, America? Really? You send home ArcAttack and AscenDance and you keep these three plus Taylor Mathews? Blech. Nick Cannon sends Antonio Restivo packing and then it's up to the judges.

Piers says he would've voted for Antonio if he hadn't been eliminated already, but he votes for Christina & Ali. Howie votes for Connor Doran. So it comes down to Sharon, who votes for ... Christina & Ali.

Man, I freaking knew it. Only three of the five acts I thought deserved to go through advanced. Bah.

Next week: Studio One Young Beast Society, Fighting Gravity, Murray, Alice Tan Ridley, Maestro Alexander Bui, Nathaniel Kenyon, Haspop, Debra Romer, Jeremy Vanschoonhoven, Michael Lipari and Ashleigh Dejon, Michael Grasso and Jackie Evancho.

I really thought most of the acts that went on to the top 10 tonight should have. I admit my favorite is Michael Grimm so I'm really happy that he went on, also I disagree about AscenDance I have been a huge fan of them on the show however the last show left alot to be desired as far as I am concerned, AscenDance lost the sensuality in the act which is what I thought set them apart and made the act so great.

Absolutely agree with you assessment. ArcAttack, AscenDance, and Antonia were all better than the top 6 (5 that advanced).

Worst. Results show. Ever. /comicbookguy

Err. sorry.. I meant better than *some* of the top 6 (like Mathews, Doran, and Christina & Ali).

Anyway.. 1st time I was truly disappointed with the results.

ArcAttack toooooo bad you let that girl on stage i belive she BLEW IT for you!

Prince PoppyCock you rock!!!!!!

Was kinda shocked (no pun intended) about ArcAttack, but the judges were right... its kind of a boring act on TV.

Anna & Patryk, well, duh, they are good.

Doesn't seem like anyone tonight will win though. Next week is *FULLY LOADED*...

I'm leaning towards Fighting Gravity taking it home, they are the most well rounded, main-stream act.

Heh... I loved how Antonio was all shocked when he lost to the two "pity acts"... didn't he realize his trick was pretty lame? Wow... you snuck out the back of a cage, impressive :).

I am disappointed with tonight- mostly because almost all of the less amazing, more mediocre, sub-par kind of acts all went this week and therefore some of the very valuable and much coveted spots are "wasted", because all of the truly amazing acts are jam-packed into next week's episode instead! WHY do they do this? I was never that into Antonio Restivo, but given the last 3 choices, I would have *unquestionably* chose him over the other two acts..Seeing as, you have Connor who yes, has a great touching story, but does the same kite flying each time and has plateaued, we've seen his best- and then you have the two sisters Christina & Ali, who are AT BEST, the most mediocre singers of all semi-finalists, if i am to even be generous in saying so. If i had to pick between Connor or the sisters, at least Connor was GOOD at what talent he claimed, which I cannot honestly say for the latter- plus, why not go onto American Idol, all you singers? Singing and dancing are so common of a talent that it can barely be a talent at all, it loses value with every person more that can do the same or better!! It is hard pressing to find an act in a talent show that is only singing or dancing that is actually interesting or unique, and even if they are- there are so many outlets out there that are JUST for that specific craft!! So i hate to see spots wasted on stuff we've all seen millions of times before. Lastly, I hate to seem rude but just stating the facts: its a cut-throat world out there and we as Americans lean WAY too into "sob stories" rather than the *actual* matter at hand: talent, true talent. I mean I do feel bad for these people as do all, but you know, we all have problems and we don't coast by in this world simply because of it!! That is just not enough! If they happened to ALSO be talented on top of their story, then ALL THE BETTER, more power to them- i just hate how people who ARE NOT talented coast by on shows like this by ONLY their sad story. Sometimes you just have to leave your emotions out of things for once and get down to business and facts, something it seems majority of Americans are just unable to do.

They should change the title to "America's Got Singing" since a singer wins every year and will this year-either Jackie Evancho or Poppycock. Would people really pay to see a Vegas show of Christina and Ali, Taylor Mathews, or Michael Grimm?

huh? singers and a ballroom dance act got through?

michael grimm is a barroom act

the sick sisters are cute...but not great

i dont get why poppydick has captured the hearts of america...he sings fake opera...and not well...and his rendition of queen was all camp

arc attack is a great act...

no accounting for america's taste

why even put on a show next week

all the singers should just go straight through

basically, they are setting up the big winner to be between poppydick and jackie evancho
