'American Idol' results: Casey James heads back to Cool, Texas
"American Idol" sent Casey James back to Cool, Texas after the Top 3 results show. Actually, he probably has to stick around Los Angeles since the finale is next week, but it's more fun to pretend like he's amblin' back to the Lonestar state.The Top 3 results show was a whole lotta chitter-chatter. First we found out how the Idols feel, then we found out how the judges feel. Then we watched the hometown visits. Then a couple teenyboppers bopped around the stage.
But finally the results were upon us and, in no surprise, Casey James was sent home. He's a talented contestant to be sure, but the Crystal-Lee finale has been coming for weeks now. We would've been more surprised if Casey had stayed.
So who you think wins it all next week, gang? Crystal or Lee? We can tell you that Crystal won the pre-taped coin toss -- did she choose to go first or second?

It will be Lee,and I think Crystal will go last.
lee will win because the judges gave him the title this week in their comments. unless they change their minds, crystal will get a separate contract and become another adam - amazing, and lee will be another david cook.
Lee will win. He will be the perfect American Idol. He can't hold a tune in a bucket. The judges have pretty much thrown Crystal under the bus in their over the top promotion of Lee in their desperate attempt to get Casey James off the show. Crystal is a much better singer.
Crystal chose to perform second, which is the smart thing to do so she can sing in the pimp spot. I'm not surprised that Lee and Crystal are in the finals, since they have never been in the bottom two in votes. I predict that Lee will win, unless Crystal finds an unbelievable song that will blow everyone away. I think Casey was relieved that he didn't have to be in the finals.
As usual the best don't win the Idol crown. The judges are pimping Lee, who can't sing to save his life, Crystal has a great voice when she doesn't scream. CASEY JAMES is the only true musician. Please make an album soon Casey!
I think Lee will win, probably should win--Crystal really deserves to win, but almost hope she doesn't, so they can't get their hands on her!! She is a free spirit, she will be just as big as Adam was!! Never been to crazy about Lee, but he was amazing on Tues.!! Casey was very gracious in his exit!! Loved him too!!! Actually really loved this season of AI!!
Lee is by far the worst singer to land in the AI finals..just dreadful but Simon now looks at him like Kara looks at Casey..Look out Simon, your Lee Love is showing big time! I predict a Taylor Hicks career for Lee should all that pimping do the trick for him.. Crystal has changed so much I can't really figure out who who she is or will be..I liked who she was at the beginning..It will be more excitingg to follow the careers of Casey and Siobhan who are going to be bigger stars than the two boring finalists the judges have selected way in advance of the big night.
Lee may win but 3-5 years from now you'll see that Casey and Crystal have had much more commercial success.
It was painfully obvious Tuesday night by the song Kara and Randy chose for Casey that they were setting him up for a fall. They repeatedly criticize him for picking songs that are too safe, but then force him to perform the yawn-inducing "Daughters" by John Mayer? Way to bias the results -- very ethical and classy. I didn't even bother watching last night's show. This has been a very boring season overall, don't care at all who wins.
