'American Idol': Lee DeWyze or Crystal Bowersox -- who won Season 9?
In a bit of a surprise, the "American Idol" Season 9 winner is Lee DeWyze.It will probably be considered a bit of an upset. Runner-up Crystal Bowersox was the front-runner from very early on in the season, but DeWyze has come on very strong these past few weeks.
It also seemed like Bowersox "won" the final set of performances on Tuesday, May 25, but Lee's fans clearly came through to crown him the winner.
After a night full of great performances -- DeWyze sang with Chicago, Bowersox sang with Alanis Morissette, Casey James got to rock out with Bret Michaels, Paula Abdul gave an outstanding Simon Cowell tribute with a bunch of former Idols, and a Season 9 finalist performance with Janet Jackson -- DeWyze was crowned the winner.
What do you think? Was it the right choice? Do you think it will even matter that Bowersox came in second or will she have success anyway?

I'm done with American Idol! Paula & Simon are gone. And the best singer doesn't win anymore.
Good on Lee but Crystal is the better singer.
YES!!!! I definitely think the right one won! Crystal will have a career anyway, but to me Lee should have been the winner, AND HE IS!!!
I think it was the right choice. I think Lee has a great attitude and deserves to win. Crystal always had the attitude that she was going to win and she got cocky. I love Lee.

it doesn't matter who one they were both great and will go on to make records. Personally i think crystal should have been crowned but what evs. good luck to both in the future. will be buying anything crystal puts out :)

I agree with Elizabeth, the best singer does'nt win. Crystal, Chevon, and Casey were all better singers.
Crystal will have a bigger career than Lee. He was o.k. but sounds like all the other guys out there...she will get signed right away like Daughtry
