'The Biggest Loser': O'Neal is down, but not out

victoria-andrews-biggest-loser-s9-320.jpgIt's hard enough for "The Biggest Loser" contestants to eat right when presented with healthy options. Let's see how they do with a room full of all things sweet and deep-fried.

Seeing Alison Sweeney is always bittersweet. At least, according to Sam it is. On one hand, she's nice to look at. On the other, she's always the bearer of bad news. She explains this week's Temptation challenge: the kitchen will be closed for the entire day. Instead, they'll be forced to go to a room filled with as much food as your local Shoney's buffet. You've got healthy food, but also the same kind of crap that got them here; donuts, cookies, bacon, chicken wings, etc. Here's the catch: the contestant who eats the most amount of calories will win the single vote in elimination.

It's clear that only one person has the game in mind: Koli. Surprising, right? He decides to get control of the game to try and save Sam, who has gotten way skinny. Koli goes overboard. He's shoving in hash browns, chili dogs, cheeseburgers, and other fatty deliciousness to make his day's caloric intake at more than 4000. That's twice the amount that everyone else ate. So really, he probably could have eaten, like, one bagel and won the challenge.

We get a bunch of filler this week. First, we're seeing a ton of the workout footage. Ashley is having a rough time without Drea, Sam is becoming a Greek god, and O'Neal is doing the workouts just like the youngins. Then we also get a brief visit from Dr. H who approves of Mike's and Ashley's progress. Volleyball player Gabrielle Reese takes everyone to the beach. Sorry, I don't remember what she said or did... I was too busy staring at her.

Next is the challenge. It seems innocent enough, but unfortunately it ends with an injury. Each player will have to build up a bunch of wooden blocks to reach a ladder. The first player to climb the ladder to the top will win a one pound advantage. Of course, the last person will also get a one pound disadvantage. Mike tries his best to build some kind of stable structure, but it ends up looking like a game of Jenga. Daris seems to have the right idea and manages to barely beat Sam to the top of the ladder. He wins the prize. O'Neal, even though he's doing well and doesn't need to rush, decides he wants to come in third place. He starts climbing down to retrieve a few more blocks but falls off, landing on his knee. The game stops as he's rushed off in an ambulance.

Unfortunately, that means O'Neal is forced to take the one pound disadvantage. And things only get worse for him when he finds out that his brother has died of cancer. Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels decide to help him mourn in the gym, whereas before he would have eaten through the pain.

This will be an interesting weigh-in. We've got two disadvantages and only one vote. But everyone seems to have worked out a lot this week. Get this... the biggest loser this week is Koli! Yes, he ate a bunch of crap one day, but he kicked his own butt in the gym to make up for it... and then some! He lost a whopping ten pounds for the first place title, followed by Daris then O'Neal (who was inspired by his brother). Falling below the yellow line this week are Vicky and Sunshine, each of whom only lost one pound.

So here we've got the new girl and the daughter of everyone's surrogate Uncle. It doesn't take Zoltar to predict that Koli is going to save Sunshine. He tells Vicky, not so kindly, to pick up her game. She seems shocked by his accusations and claims to have given it her all. So she goes home for the third time in this game. Is that a new record? Back home, she's lost another 25 pounds! That's pretty good considering probably not much time has passed since she left the ranch.

Funny how its almost over and they haven't even done the makeovers... I guess most of them are still too big.

I was just thinking that! Man, do these people need makeovers!
Maybe their still looking for product placement. If only there was a way to incorporate weight loss in clothing.

The Families season introduced the makeovers with only five people remanining, eight in Couples 2, and six last season. Seven remain, so they'll get makeovers either next week or the week after.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Can't wait to see Sunshine, Koli and Sam (without all the facial hair)and Darius...And Michael definantely needs to get rid of that Afro!!

After what Suzie Orman said in last week's episode (about Sunshine winning the whole thing and Koli coming in second unless he starts counting calories), I thought that Koli would have jumped at the chance to eliminate Sunshine when he had the opportunity, so it was a big shock that he chose Victoria. Guess he's just a glutton for punishment.

I think Sam should go home and try to win the at-home prize, leaving some space for the ones who need to be there...Koli wasn't too nice to Victoria, telling her to push more when most contestants have hit a snag at some point in the game (i.e. Michael or Ashley). Just so happens that it's happening now for her since she hasn't been there for as long. So much for helping those who really need it! At least that motivated her alright...but I still like that sunshine gets to stay, I love her. O'Neal made me bawl my eyes out!

OK, who made the grey team the all knowing, scolding Victoria like that!

THEY BOTH NEED TO GO. Sam doesn't need to lose any more weight and K is just annoying.

Where is RON when we need him?
