'Real Housewives of New York': Jill has an axe to grind
The company you keep
Bethenny discovers a New York Daily News gatecrasher story saying her relationships with the other housewives are non-existent. It focuses on her increasingly bad blood with Jill. It especially noted that Bethenny wasn't invited to Jill's party from the last episode at Saks. She thinks Jill leaked the story. Hmmm.
Then, she gets a tweet from the gossip columnist who should not be named and he's basically instigating a fight between the two. I'm so excited she called him a "termite." It is the perfect way to refer to him. In the end, Bethenny decides it's time to speak with Jill.
Kelly has the vapors
Kelly does an interview to go alongside her Playboy shoot. She's totally into the journalist and won't stop flirting with the guy. Wow. Oy, and here I thought Kelly was starting to make sense this season. I'm not even sure if she's speaking English right now. Then, the guy asks her out on a date. Wow. On-camera, dude? He should use term "journalist" loosely from now on.
Fashion fair
LuAnn's daughter is showing some propensity for clothing design. So, LuAnn tells her they should get her an internship with a designer. This segue's into LuAnn's explanation why she can't
Ally is doing a prom dress shoot for Seventeen magazine. Jill brought Kelly in, so that she can help with the modeling instruction. But Kelly was so unnecessary. Jill is totally being a stage mom, but I'm so glad that Ally had a great time. Kelly then tells Jill about how she picked up the journalist who interviewed her. Jill goes Jewish mother on her and starts asking her about his stats. Once she hears that he's 37 and never married, a red flag goes up for Jill. I'd have to agree.
Alex is serving on the Brooklyn Fashion Weekend board and she had asked all the other housewives if they'd participate except... Jill and LuAnn! She's still not over the comments they made about her kids. Something tells me excluding them is not going to help! Then, Bethenny very sneakily mentioned the Saks party. Clueless Kelly starts yapping about the party. Then, Ramona gets into it with Kelly regarding mentioning her possible breast job. Kelly actually gave her an out, but Ramona still didn't let down.
Then, Bethenny brought up the article and Ramona says she hates being in the middle of her and Jill's fight. Kelly stays silent, but in her interview she says that she can't stand hearing Bethenny acting so innocent and she just wants to leave. To her credit, she then speaks up and tells Bethenny that she's doing the same thing to Jill that she did to her last year. Alex puts an end to it. Just when I was thinking she was outmatched in this group, she quite calmly put an end to the bickering and refocused the group back on Brooklyn Fashion Weekend.
Just then, Simon arrives and Ramona is just over the moon, hugging him, telling him they needed him. Oh my, Ramona, get a room.
I have to agree with Bethenny that the Brooklyn fashion that was presented left something to be desired. Then, they found a designer they liked. Ramona and Alex left to try on some dresses, so Kelly took the opportunity to continue her talk with Bethenny. She's basically saying she doesn't care and she does care at the same time about the things Bethenny said about her last season. Kelly, which one is it? Finally, they come to the conclusion that they're going to reinstate the truce. How long will that last?
Renewal, renewal, renewalRamona meets up with her friend, Joanie, and talks about her renewal (again). Before long, Ramona starts explaining what life was like with her father. "It was a war zone," she says. In her adulthood, she avoided visiting her mother, because she didn't want to see her father. Mario suggested that she invite him for Christmas, because she doesn't want to regret not seeing him before he passes. She ended up making peace with him at Christmas and two weeks later he died. She says that's when her renewal started. I'm very happy for Ramona, crazy Cameron Diaz wannabee, Ramona.
How quickly they turn
Back at her home, Kelly talks about the cute journalist again. It seems like in hindsight she has realized that it wouldn't be good mixing business with pleasure. Jill then emailed Kelly after hearing that she made friendly with Bethenny. Basically, she tells her that she can't be friends with Bethenny and remain friends with her. Kelly is taken aback by the thinly veiled threat and resolves to speak with Jill about it.
Who's to blame?
Luann comes over to Jill's place, since she has business in the city. Meanwhile, Bethenny decides to call Jill to talk about what's going on. She decides to put Bethenny on speaker phone, so that LuAnn can hear. And even though LuAnn tries to get Jill to lie about having other people in the room, Jill decides not to. That was very classy, LuAnn. To paraphrase something Bethenny said during my interview with her, Jill is obviously not in a place of "Yes", but rather a place of "F." It's clear that she doesn't want to work on their friendship and she's holding a huge grudge. I really feel that instead of realizing that Bethenny was trying to work on the relationship, Jill just wanted to get all the thoughts out that she was feeling all that time and hadn't said yet. It was sad to see Bethenny in tears. And when Jill was accusing her of having anger issues, that was a bit of projection in my opinion. Don't you think?
I do think that Bethenny should have tried harder to reach out when Bobby was sick. I also think that Jill needs to listen to herself talk and take her own advice. Bethenny is clearly trying to reach out, but Jill can't let go of her grudge.
Whose side do you agree with? Bethenny or Jill's?

What is so wrong with being 37 and never married? Would it be better if he had 2 divorces under his belt? Maybe he just hasn't found the right one. He never will if people continually think there's something wrong with him & dismiss him because of his status.
I am totally put out with Jill. It seems that she wished Bethenney well only as long as she was the major person in her life. You can clearly see that the dynamic between her and the countess also her and kelly, (notice that she chose to become close to the two people she knew had it in for Bethenney)is not genuine. The countess is a s__t stirrer but then if she was not creating friction between the 2 true friends on the show she would be what she truly was just another person like you and me, clearly she is very insecure and has to create this kind of drama to draw attention to her otherwise unnoticeable existence. I just think that kelly wants to be Bethenney, and that is why she is always trying to slam her. I think she recognized that from the beginning hence the I'm up here and you're down here talk. the housewives are not stupid they clearly took in where the strength and popularity lay in the show and decided to get in on the most popular pair on the show. Unfortunately for the wanna bees the popularity of those two remain the same it just makes kelly and luann look like what they are lonely single bitter women. And yes Bethenney may have been a little full of herself initially but I guess its all the rest of the housewives jobs to undermine what little success she has had over the past year. Jill I hope that when you promote your book if its successful that you dont get dumped by your so called friends who are supposed to stand by you no matter what.
It is a same that the pain of friendship causes this much pain. It is clear to see that Jill is in a fragile state and will not let go of this situation until she has dragged every frustration out of it that she can. How shameful, it is true that maybe bethenney was not there for her in the way that she felt she should have been for Bobby, but you do not worry about who is not there, but rather who is there for you. It is never the ones that you help that help you, but rather help comes from everywhere. What about the great news that Bobby is cancer free that is a blessing. When are you going to be grateful for that. For God's sake let this fight go Jill, you a loosing a big battle. You are also starting to look like a very crazy vindictive, angry and hateful woman. Friendship does not mean that everything always goes your way, but having the grace and understanding when it does not go your way to walk away from foolishness and to simply move on. Let us hope that this is the last I hear of you need a hobby, because obviously you do need one because if you did not you would not have spent this much engergy on this foolishnes, and you would have let bethenney reach out to you and apologize. What a waste Jill, this is all a hugh waste of time. You have violated a friendship by letting the world hear the recorded private message. Shame on you Jill, that's right shame on you. Even Bobby has a better understanding of this than you do. You really should go and hide in the corner somewhere. It it also hurtful that you brought Luann and Kelly along for this dumb ride.
i have to say i was always a bethanny fan over everyone else last season because out of all of them she seemed the most level headed and independent. but now that she has jason, it just feels a little bit like she's reverted to being like all the the other women.
and i never thought i'd say this because when they were first introduced they seemed to be wildly out of touch with reality, but simon and alex are my favorite people on the show becuase out of all of the members - they are the most sincere about who they are and honest about what they stand for and i really have to respect that.
although i do think carrying the grudge about her kids crawling up someone else's legs is a little ridiculous. i'd actually be embarassed to find out my children did that. but maybe she is angry because they are using her children's behaviour as fodder for gossip - and that i would agree - i'd be super pissed about that.
kelly is disgusting--if she really liked the writer she could call him after her playboy issue was released---he's just not rich and famous enough for her---she's so fake!
I'm gathering from Jill's behavior- (talking about it with other people, announcing it to the press, putting her on speakerphone, lying about putting her on speakerphone & all her responses to Bethenny during that call) that Jill really doesn't want to repair the relationship with Bethenny. I'm not sure what brought out all these hystrionics in Jill, "I'll never forget what you said to me" is a phrase reserved for people who tell you they wish you were dead, or that you deserve to have cancer, or you caused your mother's death, things of this nature. Jill's sudden horror at Bethenny telling her to 'get a hobby' this season seems quite bizarre, because last season she seemed perfectly fine with Bethenny telling her she was gonna 'jam a fork in her face.' Bottom line, when people want to work it out, they do.
Now for Kelly. That interview was painful to watch, there was no connection happening at all & predictably she just reverted into flirtation mode to ward off the obvious awkwardness. He wasn't hot (not that there's anything wrong with that) and she wasn't interested- it was just a cover for her to explain after the fact why she acted like a schoolgirl. And that book he mentioned by the 'Swedish author' that she may have thought made him seem cultured and smart was actually a very 'pop culture' trendy type book that was popular for a while & is more like 'harlequin for sadists' than a repectable novel. That book sucked big time and was all about women, children, and women who look like children, being raped and tortured over and over again. That's one book that NOT reading it actually makes you seem smarter to others than the fact that you did read it! Good thing she cancelled the date she misinterpreted him asking her on.
Luanne continually sticks with Jill, even while she witnesses Jill's ugly get even(for what?) tactics. If that is the manners of a "Countess, then she sure is "Countless.
Ramona, just when I think you're lifting off for jupiter, you impress me. I see why you are a very successful businesswoman, and why your husband Mario respects and adores you.
Alex, I really thought you were the "Countess", you behave so kind and loving. I love how you are there for your family. Don't ever be hurt by unkind remarks towards them. Simon and your two boys are precious. You're a lucky lady.
Jill, you DO need a hobby!! Did you ever stop to consider the damage your selfish mean-spirited attitude is doing to all of the housewives' franchise? You have a very poor excuse for carrying on this childish 'fight' with Bethenney. Bethenny explained her side very well. She most definitely acknowledged Bobby's hospital scare, and she knows you have a lot of family around you. I think if you told her you needed her there with you + Bobby at the time, she would have been there. I really think she was waiting for you to ask her to be with you. But then she hears you partying in where(?) Las Vegas(?) and summized your husband was ok. Like someone else stated, why aren't you rejoicing that all is well, instead of going out of your way to have people listen to taped and live conversations of personal conversations between you and her. By the way, isn't that illegal without the other persons consent? Poor Bethenney had no idea you were playing her message all over Manhattan, and then on national TV. Hey Jill...you are jealous of her, and you were never her friend. If you "cried" over this why didn't you call her and try to get back on track with her? We all know she cried and tried. Everyone liked you because of your friendship with Bethenney. Now what..where are you going from here?
Kelly, what's going on? Sometimes you here ( ^ ) than ( v ). You're beautiful, be yourself. You raised beautiful children, you must be a great lady. I don't understand why you sometimes swing your hair around when you enter a room...you're not doing a commercial for pretty hair, which yours certainly is...and it's NOT Blonde. On the last episode while being interviewed for your Playboy shoot, you seemed to like the writer...but who was really hitting on whom? You put your ex on such an awesome light, I'm wishing you take him back.
Bethenney, Everybody I know who watches the show, watches because of you. You are a true star. My friends (I got lots) and myself love you for everything you are and are not. You are not perfect, a few things could have been handled differently, but just a few. I, as obviously, most everyone else, can't wait to see your spinoff...God Bless you on your marriage, and your future, and especially your baby. You're the perfect example of, 'staying true to yourself and having patience that if we really want to, we'll find a loving and caring husband who also is a best
friend.'
And Bethenney, your business smarts and style is paying off. Congratulations on that too!!!
Jill is a complete self centered, selfish person. She is only out for herself. Clearly Bethenney was trying to make up and let the past be the past, but Jill needs drama. She is evil and I used to like her but the way she is treating Bethenney, or even that email she sent Kelly for thinking she made up with Bethenney is pathetic. Jill does need to get a HOBBY. She is jealous and resentful of B sucess!
