tom-westman-survivor.jpg"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" loses one of the good ones in Tom Westman.

Sorry, gang, This is going to be abbreviated because I got back very late from the "American Idol" Top 12 red carpet and still have to process video from that.

So, James gets hurt during the Reward Challenge and Amanda acts like Jeff Probst took him out and shot him like a lame horse. When James finally heroically reappears in camp, Amanda runs to him and I expect them to crash to the ground making out or something. It's weird and kinda gross.

Meanwhile, at the Villains camp Coach leads some Coach Chi for the group, which is actually a cool way to bond. It also gives Russell a chance to dig for the Hidden Immunity Idol, which he finds. Heh heh.

The Immunity Challenge is a blindfold challenge with a caller. Remember a few years ago when little Michelle was the caller and just WHOOSH fell right off the caller's stand? That was hilarious (once it was apparent that she was okay, of course).

The two callers are Jerri and James and they both do a pretty decent job. James gets all the Heroes pieces back first, but once again the Villains solve their puzzle first. Wow. That is just incredible the way they do that. Brains prevails over brawn yet again.

Rupert comments to JT and Candice that James with a bum leg is still stronger than Tom. Uh, what? Did Rupert watch Tom's season? Candice points out that that's a risky move adn Rupert remarks that if that's their criteria, they should've put him out. Uh, duh. You want a strong tribe? Boot Rupert's ass.

I can't see how they wouldn't vote James out. He's pretty much worthless on physical challenges now. And J.T. is getting enough rope to hang himself with by swearing an alliance and a vote with everybody on the tribe.

There's some more back and forth between Tom and James at Tribal, but it's nothing new. James does comment that Candice is hustling her next thing or something and I don't love him making her sound like a whore, but perhaps he meant it a different way.

The votes go Tom, Tom, James, James, Tom, Tom. So the silver fox is off "Survivor." That's a bummer, he's a smart, good guy and James is a petulant bully.

I honestly thought that the feast of chocolate won in the Reward Challenge would have made the nutrient-deprived Villains so sick that there would have been no way for them to compete for the Immunity Idol.

Did anyone else notice James trying to rip that coconut (mango?) apart in the background as others talked strategy? Was he really trying to convince everyone how useful he could still be in the event that all the remaining challenges don't require a person who needs to sit down the whole time? I have to say, I don't think that torso-only competitions are going to be as prevalent as James is hoping.

More thoughts about tonight's episode available at my blog where I go into detail about why JT has sealed his fate and the Heroes can't win. Click my username or follow the link below:

I think the tribe thinks that Tom was confrontational and they would rather have James. Colby must be a little nervous now. JT is going to seal his own fate. He needs to back off and keep quite if he plans to stay and at least be on the jury.

Colby can rest easy since I imagine without Tom the others don't see him as a threat. So next vote will likely be Candice or James (please).

Anyone else think Colby is getting so annoying this season?? What a baby about the chocolate!

Yea that chocolate move was just stupid and meaningless. Top me, this season really sucks so far. The heros would be dominating if they could solve a puzzle and stop getting injured. They've managed to snatch defeat from the hands of victory something like 4 out of 6 times now. And they are falling into the trap of failing to coalesce around any one leader which is dooming their tribe to bad decisions. Getting rid of Tom is probably their death knell unlease Colby can somehow assert his leadership over them, something he seems highly reluctant to do.

Right now about the only one that seems worth rooting for is Boston Rob. He seems to be the only one who has "grown" from previous experience yet still retained his edge. Although Sandra may be the dark horse.

Amanda says that James is like her big brother...Who she blindsided, and plans to do the same thing to. if he manages to carry her to a merge.
Hero = Dumbass.

I've had it with the heroes. They are just stupid. How else can you explain them voting out a perfectly healthy & athletic player as opposed to a player with an injury that is probably going to prevent him from performing well in challenges? Just plain stupid. I used to like all of these guys. What the heck happened to Rupert? James is a big bully. Amanda is irritating. JT & Candace had a chance to do something and didn't. Only Colby (and Tom) see the light.

Guess I'll be rooting for the villains from now one.

Oops, I meant to type "from now on." Guess my irritation got the best of me :)

JT and Candice decision to go with the flow was the death knell for the heroes. Rupert is amazingly stupid, either that or he just wants this to be over as soon as possible. Really disappointed in these "heroes", and the only thing I have to look forward to now is seeing Russell get the axe. And is is only the gutless performance from the heroes tribe that has allowed that delusional dwarf to stick around this long.

I think it was smart getting rid of Tom. My vote would always be based on who won before. I would vote Tom out followed by JT, Rupert was giving the gift so I would vote him out. I don't think that people who have one should be allowed to return. Give the losers a change to win the million. I knew Tom was going because I have the spoilers list and I know the complete order but the only way a former winner can win again is if another former winner makes it to the end with them.
