'American Idol' Top 10 results: Didi Benami goes home 'Brokenhearted'
The "American Idol" Top 10 has been reduced to nine.Didi Benami, who sang "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted," discovered for herself when she got the boot Wednesday (March 31).
After a lot of back and forth, even sticking Katie Stevens among the Bottom 3 stools, Ryan Seacrest let Katie return to the "safe" seating area. And then it was just down to Didi and Tim Urban, whose "Sweet Love" was horrible in its own way.
Didi tried to save herself, singing one of her best songs, "Rhiannon," but it wasn't enough.
As Simon gave her the bad news that she was going home, he added: "But it was a million times better than what you did last night."
We're now left with Lee Dewyze, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Siobhan Magnus, Michael Lynche, Crystal Bowersox, Andrew Garcia and yes, Tim Urban.

We began the night with a hilarious "Clash of the Titans"/"American Idol" mashup that edited together Simon Cowell giving a critique and the Kraken roaring. Not an accident at all.
Hey, the Velvet Teddybear! Ruben Studdard was back singing "Don't Make 'Em Like U No More." He sounded pretty good but looked even better. Apparently he lost a ton (no, not literally) of weight by becoming a vegan. Extreme? Perhaps, but it worked. Even Big Mike Lynch, a trainer with "pythons" gave the seal of approval.
After a brief and thus less excruciating Ford promo featuring the gang singing "Kung Fu Fighting," we moved on to the banter portion, where we found out Mike had been taking hair tips from Siobhan Magnus. A pink one to be specific.
There's a Justin Bieber spotting in the audience since his mentor Usher was also the mentor this week. Usher and Will.I.Am brought "OMG" to the stage. He sounded pretty decent, and was obviously singing live since his voice wavered during his dancing, but he was totally upstaged later by ...
Diddy-Dirty Money singing "Hello Good Morning." Diddy isn't a better singer, but he's so freakin' high energy. You know something's afoot when there's this disclaimer: "Strobe lighting will be used in the next performance." The promised strobe lighting came out, including the lit-up initials "DM," which doesn't stand for Dave Matthews, dungeon master nor direct message. Diddy-Dirty Money!So, did Didi deserve to go home or was it Tim's time?

So sad that Didi got eliminated, but I think she's got lots of potential if she stick to her indie niche. Between Tim and Didi either was bound to go if not this week then probably next week. I have a stupid question -- obviously the one with the least votes is always one of the bottom three. But the other two -- are they the ones with the second and third least votes?
I ask, because it seems possible to me that Tim Urban may be way up there in vote count, but they are dragging him down each week to keep the show interesting. For all we know, Tim could be the #1 vote getter this season! Wow, wouldn't that be irony?
The review might have mentioned that Usher followed up his fine turn as a mentor and assessor of talent with a rave performance. The guy is awesome! He is now my man-crush!
Didi - right person left. Tim was saved again by his legions of pre-teen, texting furiously, Squuueee Gurls.
Getting sorta lonely in the female ranks. 6 guys left, and Tim and Katie look like they are next up on the chopping block. Young Stevens isn't gonna get any better, and Tim can't get any worse.
I think Crystal will have her new roomie Siobhan around for several more weeks, assuming Siobhan picks herself up and comes back well from trying to take on one of the hardest songs out there, and failing live what she did well singing in practice on Monday..
I hated all the pimping of the premiere of The Clash of the Titans. It was worse than any of the singing last night. Also, I thought Usher's performance was better than Diddy's (I refuse to call him by his new moniker). And sorry, but I can't stand Justin Bieber at all-- I'd rather listen to Tim, Aaron and Katie. Was it the first time that no one mentioned Big Mike's new baby (but Ryan just had to show us Mike's fake ponytail)? :P
I had a feeling that Didi was in trouble tonight because Ryan teased us at the top of the show that there could be a possible surprising elimination. It wasn't a shock to see Katie and Tim in the bottom 3. Crystal still looks solid, but maybe Lee is gaining momentum?
It might be Crystal and 3 guys in the final four (Lee, Casey, Aaron?).
Slow down Chris Ford....Siobhan Magnus will DEFINITELY be in that top 4 and while we are at it...the top 2!
I was surprised to see Didi go but I am not sad about it. It seemed her voice was getting weaker every week and even her "best" performances were just okay. I just can't stop thinking how much more interesting this competition would be if Lilly and Katelyn were still around...but oh well.
Next week will be Tim's last.....I think! At this rate he may ride the bottom 3 all the way to the Top 5.

tim was the worst singer even in the top twenty besides maybe one but none the less he is adorable and getting the little girl votes.
WTF will it take to get rid of Tim Urban?! He's awful! He didn't even make the Top 24!
It is always the 3 with the lowest votes that are in the bottom three.
I agree Tim has horrible vocal skills there were a lot of other people that would have been a much better choice!
