Brothers_Sisters_Luc_Sarah_Recap_320.jpgIn this episode of "Brothers & Sisters," Sarah, Rebecca and Kevin take leaps of faith while Nora, Holly and Saul get closer to figuring out Dennis' secret about Ojai Foods.

Rebecca dances around the issue
Rebecca tells Justin she's going to have dinner with her dad. He asks if she's going to talk to him about the miscarriage, but she seems to be trying to sweep it under the rug. Justin, who struggled last season with painful post-war memories and addiction, is obviously worried that Rebecca isn't expressing her grief over losing their baby.

The next day, David shows up at Justin and Rebecca's excited to see her. Justin then finds out they never had dinner the night before. She lied to him. After Justin confronts her, she admits she has been going to a dance class - something she hasn't done since she was a teenager. She then tells him that she doesn't think it's healthy to just express your feelings and mope. She just wanted to get up and do something.

Justin visits her at the dance studio and Rebecca breaks down. She felt that going back to something she used to be good at would help and it hasn't. Justin tells her that healing will take time and she just has to believe things will get better.

Help wanted: Communications position
The pressure of the campaign and more specifically her campaign manager, Buffy, is starting to bug Kitty. Kevin tells her that Robert has also become a handful and worse - clingy. She asks Kevin to be understanding as Robert deals with the end of his term as senator. Then, Kevin drops a big one: He wants to quit his job as Robert's communication director!

Later, at a press event at a gun club, it's very clear that Kitty and Buffy are not getting along. After the event, Kitty can't take it anymore, so she fires her. Buffy makes it clear, though, that she won't be leaving.

When Kevin decides to talk to Robert about quitting, Robert tells him he's up for an important job. Robert can't tell Kevin what it is, yet, though he says there will be a position for him there. Kevin doesn't feel good about Robert's secrecy, then tells Robert he wants to move on. Robert is clearly hurt and basically pushes Kevin into resigning.

Buffy visits Kevin as he's packing his things and she points out that Robert is only acting that way, because they love each other. She realizes that she loves Kitty and their friendship is more important than staying on as her campaign manager.

When he gets home, Kevin is still bothered by how Robert acted about his resignation. Then, Robert asks Kevin to come back to the office. Once there, he surprises Kevin with a party in his honor and wishes him the best with his next move - whatever that is.

The mystery of Narrow Lake
Nora and Saul discuss why Dennis York wanted Holly's shares of Ojai Foods. They fear he does know something about the worth of the company and he won't stop until he gets it. The two decide to keep the news from the rest of the family. Uh oh, secrets in the Walker clan don't stay secrets for long and when they finally come out? Not pretty.

Holly and Nora meet up at Ojai to comb through William Walker's files for anything that might tell them what Dennis knows. It's clear they're trying very hard not to get on each other's nerves. Nora says that a long time ago, William screwed over Dennis, eventually landing Dennis in jail. Nora can't think of anything more than that for why Dennis would want the company so bad. She decides to ask Saul if he can find out where Dennis is.

Holly decides to change her strategy and look into Dennis' records. She finds that he filed a new company name when he thought she was selling him her shares. The new company is named after land that William bought years before, Narrow Lake. When Nora finds out, she remembers that William used to sing a song about Narrow Lake, but she doesn't know where it is. She seemed more afraid of what Dennis' next move would be. Right, not this is the most exciting plot line for me. Aren't you intrigued by where this is going?

Stop that wedding!
Luc and Sarah waste no time picking up where they left off. When we join them, they're basking in their newly discovered love naked and in bed. When Sarah brings up Luc's Visa expiring, though, he doesn't want to talk about it.

Later at dinner, Luc charms the pants off the family, once again. His visa comes up in conversation and it seems Kevin has looked into it and the government won't renew it. They begin talking about his options and a visa marriage is brought up. When Luc mentions that his art dealer, Ginny, has agreed to marry him, it's obvious Sarah gets a bit jealous. Regardless, Sarah says she won't marry Luc right now, even for a visa. Then, Luc finally admits that he only has 4 weeks until his visa expires.

Sarah arranges a meeting with Ginny and Luc to discuss getting married. Ginny's still into it, but it would entail that they live together. Ginny mentions that she also has a live-in boyfriend who'd be totally cool with the marriage. With that information, Sarah agrees. Then, they announce that Ginny is leaving the next day for Mexico, so they would have to get married that day. Sarah is obviously shaken by the timing and that she won't be able to attend the ceremony.

When Nora finds out about Luc marrying his art dealer, she pulls Kitty into the debate. Kitty thinks Sarah should just marry Luc. After some back and forth, Sarah admits she loves Luc and decides that, yes, she should marry him. The race to catch him before he marries Ginny is on!

At City Hall, Kitty forgets that she left a plaque the gun club gave her with a fake gun attached is in her purse. It sets off the security sensors and Kitty, Nora and Sarah are detained. When they finally get to Luc, they catch him just in time to stop the wedding. But, Sarah and Luc decide not to get married in that moment! 4 weeks...

How do you feel about Sarah marrying Luc? And how intrigued are you about this Dennis/Ojai mystery?

Very intrigued.
I think that Nora may have had an affair of her own. Look at her reactions during her scene with holly and then with saul and about the kids. Def my favorite storyline of the season. I always love when it gets about ojai

The "mystery from the past" with Michael Cole could be fairly entertaining, though they're taking a bit too long to reveal it. This show is starting to have the same problem shows like this always do--they have so many stories involving the same small group of people over such a short space of time that they get repetitive. I actually think it might help when they lose Rob Lowe and Ally McBeal, so the story can shift gears a bit.

Enjoyed the ep, love that Luc is back! And the whole Robert/Kevin thing was hilarious!

I agree that I think they need to get this going with the Dennis saga...it's starting to be aggravating to watch Nora's facial expressions everytime she hears somethihng about Dennis...enjoy it, but don't drag it out.

At last a story that could include the whole family that doen't have yet another love child for William. Or does it?

Maybe Nora and Dennis did have an affair years ago. And just maybe, one of the Walker clan is not really a Walker. Love Child, but not William's this time???

I want this episode

Hmm, I'm not sure Nora had an affair, I'm not sure her reactions all these years to William would be justified if that turned out to be true. I can't wait to find out what this secret is though, and why the kids need to be protected. This storyline is just about the only thing B&S has going for it right now, along with Kitty's run for Senate.

Great episode tonight, can't wait until the next one in two weeks.
