'The Biggest Loser': Liar, liar, pants on fire
If you go on "The Biggest Loser" and decide to cheat, it's probably a good idea to own up to it when caught red-handed. Otherwise, you're going to get a few enemies. This week's pop challenge offers an interesting prize: immunity. But along with the prize the winner also gets three daunting envelopes they must pass out to other teams. Each team will run the Presidential mile and get a key card. If the key card shows up with a green check, the get a point. First team to three points wins. Naturally, it comes down to luck. And for some odd reason, lady luck was on Red Team's side tonight. They win immunity and must pass out the unlucky envelopes to their fellow contestants.
First, they give "no gym access" to John because he mainly works out in the pool. They give the "no elimination" card to Michael because he might still hold a grudge from last week. Finally, they give Green Team the "2-pound disadvantage" because they're a seemingly strong team. Green, however, doesn't take this too kindly. They get very defensive and indignant and refuse to acknowledge that it's all part of the game.
Speaking of the Red Team, they're still on Bob Harper and Jillian Michael's radar for being big fat liars for two weeks running. It's clear that Melissa watered down, yet she still won't admit it. First Bob tries talking to them, but it only ends in Lance saying he has no respect for the trainer for not believing Melissa. Then Jill gives it a try. She tells Melissa that it's physically impossible for her to not lose any weight for two weeks. Melissa gives quite the performance defending her own honor, but it just results in crocodile tears and a Razzie nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Long story short: it's phony baloney. Alison Sweeney must have been confused about this week's challenge because she dressed up as Bob the Builder. In actuality, it's taking place on a port with lots of cranes and pulleys and whatnot. Each team will have to pull their own body weight 120 feet in the air. The first team to the top wins phone calls home. (The oh-so coveted prize.) Naturally, Gray and Red take the lead and the other teams give up and watch the race. Everyone screams Gray on, and by some holy miracle, they win. Red was literally, like, two inches from winning. But it didn't matter anyway because Grey picked Red, Brown, and Green to share in the phone calls.
Can we just talk about this week's last chance workout? First, Bob takes them up a giant mountain and back. Then Jill decides to make them throw rocks and push each other in wheelbarrows. It's an extra batch of delicious torture for the viewing audience to enjoy, and to that we say "thank you."
This week's weigh in will be interesting not only because of the disadvantages handed out earlier, but also because of Melissa's immunity. She'll either lose a bunch of weight, or she'll water down again. Sadly, she loses a somewhat average 11 pounds, which could mean one of two things: she was telling the truth (doubtful) or she watered down enough so it wouldn't look like she cheated (likely). Every team loses pretty decent numbers this week, especially Gray who loses an amazing 26 pounds. At the bottom is Pink, who only lost 11 pounds, followed by Green. Miggy and Migdalia lose only five pounds as a team. They get huffy and blame the Red Team for the 2-pound disadvantage. But Melissa, in her defense, has Ali point out that the Green Team would have fallen below regardless of the disadvantage. They might be evil, but they've got a point. At elimination, Migdalia decides she's going home and that's that. The other contestants don't like Green's attitudes and some try to keep Migdalia there anyway. But in the end, Miggy stays and her daughter goes home. And (shocker!) she gained weight at home. There goes her promise to be 140 pounds. Whoops.
Next week, 911 is called and someone is sick enough to get pulled from the show. Thanks to the power of DVR, we've narrowed it down to the following people: a player from the Blue Team or Yellow Team (one of whom will rejoin the show next week), Melissa, Stephanie, or Michael. Who do you think it is?

I'm not a big fan of the Green Team or anything, but isn't the ending a little deceptive? She gained 10 lbs initially and then lost a bunch of weight after that.
I agree that the ending of the recap is very deceptive. She did put on 10 lbs initially bc she was having to deal with her husband going off to war, but then she got back in the groove of things and lost weight.
Also, I thought the card the Red Team gave Michael was a No Elimination Vote card. I thought it meant he would have no vote in the elimination not that he couldn't be eliminated.
Please look at the weight of the red team member that "watered down". She lost 11 lbs. this week. At her initial weight a 4-6 pound weekly total is good. Think about it. 11 lbs. is monster for someone that is only slightly over 200 lbs.
I am sick of these game players. Also, with regard to the green team. Shame on NBC for even putting them into the competition. I have never seen so much anger in two ladies as these. Why the big chips on their shoulders? The mother telling her not to cry. Heartless. One down one to go.
Lastly, I cannot wait for the Red team to be finished. They are taking up FAR too much screen time and I for one would like to get to know the other teams.
Red Melissa is a bold faced liar and everyone in the country KNOWS it. She watered down, period. The fact that she won't admit it and that her spineless hubby Lance supports it, makes her worse than Tracey of last season. At least she admitted what she was doing (even if she was in denial that she was not doing anything wrong). The green b*tches both need to go. Chips on shoulders, no emotion, folded arms DO NOT BELONG ON THE RANCH! Wipe off all green and red and I will be happy. I would prefer to get to know the other players, thank you.
Despite all the screaming, this season's villains are a bore.
Green Team, standing around all sullen with their arms folded, ugh. I agree 100% with "Red is a Lousy", how did they get on in the first place? I kept waiting for one of the others to ask why did they go through the process of applying, interviewing, signing a million conracts and disclaimers, etc.
As for Red Team, seriously, I hope it's not Melissa that has to go to the hospital. I mean, it could be a possibllity that sonthing's wrong with her. Otherwise, she's just a rageaholic.
Season 7's Ron, plotting and planning, while awesome Helen persevered and became Biggest Loser, now that was a villain!
I was actually hoping both green team members would be able to stay (not possible since they were under the line). Granted, they are tough people to root for. They obviously have issues that need to be dealt with. Both of them being on the ranch is the only way the issues would have been brought to the surface and addressed.
I hope the best for Migdalia. I wish a quick and safe return of her husband (hello? Obama? Weren’t you supposed to end this silly war so that young men and women wouldn’t be dragged away from their families?)
I wouldn’t be too tough on Melissa. Sure, she “watered down†for two weeks. If I recall, she fessed up the first week. So that makes her only a half-liar. She got lucky and got immunity and some power this week. None of the decisions she made had any affect; either way, Green Team would have been under the line because of their own issues.
I have never seen, in Biggest Loser history, someone go for two weeks and not lose anything ESPECIALLY the first 3 weeks. Please correct me if I am wrong about that.
To argue about it with Jillian is also incredibley stupid. I was thrilled that Jillian didn't back down and stayed true to what is true and that is Melissa is game playing.
And one more thing about Melissa, I am tired of seeing her smirk!! That type of smirk is one that only villains do.
Well Jeff you are the dumb one if you believed what a politician told you when he was trying to get elected!!!
So I am confused, what is watering down?
I just can't stand the red team. I just can't. She's manipulative and he just looks so unintelligent. What's- her-face is a liar and it's neither Jillian nor Bob's fault that she lied. it's not because they called her on her crap that they made her look bad, she did that to herself. She lost me once and for all when she tried to sway votes in favor of Migdalia who had clearly expressed her wish to go home. I clearly remember her saying in previous weeks "I'm gonna grant your wish to leave the ranch because I would expect people to do the same for me". BULLCRAP. I can't wait for the other contestants to figure that out. Once Miggy is out, she'll turn against someone else and her husband will blindly follow. I wasn't impressed by the green team's hissy fits but then again they're only human and clearly have emotional issues. They both needed to be there. Too bad they had an off week, it happens to everyone. Miggy is right about the fact that the red team can't handle the truth she delivers to them about how manipulative they are. That's why they hate Jillian now. Of course they're ok with Bob because he cut them some slack. Boohoo. Newsflash, he still doesn't believe you, and at the end of the day he's not the one with the weight problem. Neither is Jillian. Gosh I can't stand the red team. Good thing they seem to have a great marriage because I don't know how they possibly could befriend anyone outside of their family. GO GREY TEAM!
