colinegglesfield_melroseplace_290.jpgTonight on "Melrose Place," the police come for MIA Auggie.

Auggie & Riley
The police show up looking for Auggie because his blood was on the murder weapon. Riley knows where he went but won't tell and Jonah freaks.

Riley talks to Violet about Auggie and learns about the fight at Coal and Violet sleeping with Auggie. Riley about swallows her tongue.Later, Riley starts IMing him and Auggie says he's struggling and that he's ruined his life and he won't tell her why. She calls the police.

Jonah & Ella
Ella calls Jonah to help her woo a German filmmaker named Franz Kepler. Jonah has to pose as a publicist and wants to talk up Franz, but Franz can't stop making moves on Ella. To ease the tension, Jonah tells Franz they're engaged. To sell it, they kiss and snuggle and whatnot. It's pretty cute, get them together for real!

When Franz leaves, Ella calls him on having a crush on her since the day they met and gets her digs in at Riley. She then invites him to explore his options at a near-by hotel. And by "explore his options," she means "explore Ella."

Jonah is outraged, realizes how much he trusts Riley and that she trusts him, tells Ella off and storms away. Ella looks crushed. Jonah gets home and makes up with Riley and later Ella apologizes to him.

David, Lil' Mancini & Lauren
Lauren's tired from the all-night ho-ing and is practically asleep on her feet at the hospital. Meanwhile, David takes his half-brother Noah out for an "adventure" and turns his back for a second, so of course Noah falls off a wire stand he shouldn't have been climbing. David takes him to Lauren at the hospital.

The Mancinis forbid David to see Noah again but Michael does tell Lauren good job. Back at the MP, Michael shows up and chastises David for being reckless but tells David he likes that David wants to spend time with Noah. After Michael leaves, David thanks Lauren for helping with Noah. He also tells her the thieving is over because of what Lauren thinks of him. Then they make out. Woo woo? Lauren then cries a little and tells him she can't do this. You see, because of the ho-ing.

Violet & Dr. Michael Mancini
Violet blackmails Mancini for a lawyer because she's got a pending court case for resisting arrest but instead of getting her a lawyer, Mancini knows the judge presiding over the case. So Mancini says he can either tell him good things or bad things about Violet. Violet deletes the video.  Now that Violet's money source has dried up, she asks Lauren if she can move in with her and Ella. Lauren turns her down.

Thoughts & Tidbits
  • Oh my god, when does Heather Locklear come back?!?! Get this show some life, stat!

  • I don't really see the Lauren-David chemistry. Maybe that's just me.

  • You know, I thought Ashlee was getting better but this week she was back to being awful. I just cannot care about her, Auggie, David or Riley. Keep Ella, Jonah and Lauren and give the rest the big heave-ho.

I thought it was great! I liked the chemistry between David and Lauren, I look at David and I get mushy because he's like a cute little boy in a muscular blond man's body and we're like almost the same age, I don't know I just think the actor who plays him is really hot, hehe, and he's a good actor too. Loving Melrose and can't wait til Heather!

I'm with Veronica - David is a KEEP!

I like Jonah and Riley, and I think with a better solo story, Riley could be some kick-butt 'Alison' competition. LOVE Ella. Need more Laurent. And NEEEEED more of call-girl ringleader Wendy (Kelly Carlson is AMAZING) and more of MP original Laura Leighton's Sydney (maybe the murder mystery is all a set-up?). Heather cannot save the show alone. The original's addition of Heather also occurred as the spice up all the other storylines as well. Only time will tell, but I'm keeping by hopes high - expectations low.

I actually concur with everything in this article.

Especially about keeping Ella, Jonah, Lauren and dumping everyone else for some new (and more interesting) characters & better actors.

Riley really doesn't bother me too much. I think it's just the crappy (boring) part she has to play as opposed to the actress herself.

Give her something better to work with and I think she'd be a lot more interesting. So i'd probably say keep her on too. Just give her a better storyline.
But get her & Jonah as far apart as possible...together they are sleep inducing.

I like how the CW keeps showing the preview for Heather and says "New Series" starts Nobember 16th haha. As if the first half of the season didn't count. And I agree, get rid of Riley, Ashley and David. Or maybe just take David's scarf off and he'll be a better character

The Riley and Jonah fighting-and-then-making-up-several-times-per-episode thing is so tired we need a new word for tired. Enough! Break them up for good already! It is going to happen anyway, and the sooner the better as this has become boring and predictable. Seriously, they would be more believable as friends and more interesting as they could both move on.

Keep David. There could be an interesting story here, as David looks nothing like Michael, but EXACTLY like Jake Hansen.

Everyone keeps comparing Jonah and Riley to Billy and Allison when they actually are more comparative to Michael and Jane during the first half of the first season. They were boring, uninteresting newlyweds(J&R are newly engaged) who were both struggling with careers and trying to survive in the real world. And then what happened? KIMBERLY. Michael started having an affair and their storyline started to heat up especially when Jane confronted Kimberly at the hospital about their affair and Kimberly chased her out exclaiming, "IT'S NOT OVER." So GOOD. Every character was one dimensional during the first season of MP but the writing got better. All the characters on the new show have potential (look at the changes that Kimberly went through!) it's just that the writing is awful.

Kiki, I agree completely, so wish Jonah and Riley would either just get over their issues or break up already, but the constant arguing and making up every episode, it's getting SO old...

Kiki, I also agree about David. He looks alot more like Jake. Jake had a son named David, and I believe he was supposed to be his son originally, but than, I guess when Grant show wouldn't do the show and Thomas Calabro would, they made him Michael's son...

Okay i don't know what qualifications these people have against slamming melrose place. i do agree that ahslee has to go and she will by episode 12...and i have to admit David isthe best male character..i find Jonah completely winey like a little baby. Keep everyone in the cast except Violet and Auggie and the show will do great...it's these stupid articles that are giving the show bad publicity!!!!!
