shaysorrells_thebiggestloser_s8_290.jpgThis week's "The Biggest Loser" marks a first for the contestants: ordering take-out food sans cheese, bread, and all-around fatty goodness. Will they learn the tricks of healthy eating in the real world?

So, last week pretty much everyone has decided to tape a bull's eye on Tracey's back. Especially Shay. She's not at all happy with the way Tracey handled things. Tracey, meanwhile, is still under the careful watch of Dr. H. And he comes bearing bad news: not only is she not getting better, she's actually getting worse. Apparently some bad enzymes are freaking out and attacking her muscles. He takes away literally all of her exercise privileges. And of course, she cries like a dingo just got her baby.

It's up to Alison Sweeney to deliver this week's curveball: no kitchen privileges.  They'll be banished to the take-out menu all week. It's up to them to decide what's healthy and what's not. This won't end well. But first! It's a pop challenge. Ali presents three fairly similar dishes. Using context clues and asking questions, each team has to guess which dish has the fewest calories. It ends up being dish "A" if anyone cares. Only three teams got it right.  The tie breaker between Pink, Orange, and Brown is to guess the calorie count. Pink wins! And they rejoice in free food for a year. That's a pretty sweet prize actually.

Of course, the players are less than happy with the food they oh-so-meticulously ordered. They got extra cheese, bagels, dressings, etc. That's all part of the real world, so they try their best to work around it. Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, of course, come to the rescue and take them out to eat to show them how the pros do it. Wait, did they just walk into an authentic Mexican restaurant? Yikes. That's like trying to order a low-fat Chicago deep-dish pizza. It's almost impossible. But somehow Jill and Bob snap their magical fingers and make healthy food appear.

This week's challenge is pretty entertaining. The contestants are placed on a platform over the pool with nothing to hold them up but a handlebar. The platform will get steeper and steeper. Last person to fall in the pool wins immunity for the team! Team Brown pretty much crumbles like a cheap cookie, followed by Pink and Blue. Don't forget Tracey and Abby are sitting this out, so their teammates are solo. Eventually, it all comes down to Team Orange and Allen the fireman. Shay is super proud of herself for being the last girl, but it's Daniel that eventually scores the win. He's officially stayed on campus longer than last season! Rock on, superstar.

Last chance workout is more brutal than ever. The trainers are trying to exorcize all the fast-food demons out of everyone's bodies. But it's Coach Mo that's losing his shiznit this week. He's old and trying to carry his weight along with Tracey's. He promptly pushes himself too far and almost calls it quits. Meanwhile, Tracey is playing Sudoku alone and probably feeling really sorry for herself.

juliogomez_thebiggestloser_s8_290.jpgAt the weigh-in, everyone is pretty much expecting failure. They don't like the idea of eating bad food all week. But oddly enough, everyone manages to lose some weight. (With the exception of Daniel, who lost 0 but most likely watered down beforehand.) Rudy is still losing insane amounts of weight. He's lost double digits every week, pulling another 11. Despite getting decent numbers, Julio, Liz, and Danny are the unfortunate ones below the yellow line. That's right; Mo and Tracey are somehow safe. I'm just going to go ahead and say Tracey made a deal with the devil to lose those 4 pounds.

So here's the deal: they could send home Team Brown and keep just Julio, or they could send home Julio and be able to keep two people in the game rather than one. It's all about the numbers. Julio got screwed, but  he takes it like a man. Back at home, he's managed to get down to 299 pounds. That's pretty good for doing it on his own. His goal for the finale is to lose another hundred.

Does anyone think he stands a chance at the at-home prize?

Your article is nice. Thanks for your sharing,it helps me more.I will look forward to your more wonderfull articles.Have a good time.

Very good article this week. I enjoy your recaps. TBL is one of the few shows I make a point to watch. The first thing I do the next morning is read your recap. Keep up the good work.

So last night made me feel a little less lovey dovey towards orange and pink. First, am I the only one who thinks that Shay didn't show one drop of gratitude for being "saved" last week -- that the guys sacrificed themselves? She continues to whine about how everyone betrays her always and then give other people a hard time. Second, I don't like how orange and pink are banding together. Third, I think pink were the mean popular girls in school, despite their higher weights. The orange and pink teams were also the ONLY people to bug Tracey last week about voting their way. That being said, I think it was a bit of a tasteless move.

I do think that Tracey is a loose cannon, but I don't think she's evil.

All in all, my least favorite person is Shay, which is a shame. She really needs the weight loss help, but her emmotional needs should be addressed somewhere else before she can really succeed. I also don't like her aggressive, demanding, and yet pitiful attitude. It's manipulation at its best (along with Daniel's goose egg!)

Bob put it best: Playing the game is playing the game. What Daniel did is no different than what Tracey did the week before.

Anyone else think that Tracey blurted out her (wrong) answer on the calorie contest before her partner Coach Mo could even form an opinion? He really needs to grow a set.

And while it's possible Julio "got screwed", let's not forget that when he was up for elimination the first week, he gave a sob story about doing it for his kids that his single, child-free partner couldn't compete with. Welcome to payback.

Still liking Shay but I suspect that will pass pretty soon.

Nice recap thanks!!!! Am I the only one that was happy that Jill and Bob gave the this is a game about YOU losing weight for YOU speech? Shay had the 'you guys are sooooo right....I don't know what game these other people are playing' look. As she cried(yet again.....hard life....can't trust anyone...blah blah) last week and the week before and guess what this week too...sheesh lady! Shay did get major cool points for hanging on so long in the challenge! As much as I love Coach Mo.....dude grow some freaking stones....he lets Crazy...oops Tracey make EVERY decision. Dan com'on....*shocked look* I don't know how i didn't lose any weight....*side smirk*. I soooo believe the take out restaurant got every order wrong *cough cough* I have no idea what these people are doing but the show is called The Biggest Loser.....not the Biggest Friendship, why not get rid of 2 players instead of 1?

You reminded me, Mo. How sad is it that so many of the women want to lose weight so they can fit in skinny jeans or get picked up in a bar or look prettier? I've got news for them: looks ain't everything but good health is! If you think getting a boyfriend will make you happy, you've got another thing coming.

I have a sudden urge to chew gum. I don't know why. It's like someone planted a subliminal message in my head. Hmmm.....

P.S. great recap.

I agree with the posts about Tracey being a loose cannon and not necessarily evil. I would add selfish and self-centered to that. She just blurts out answers and makes "team decisions" on her own. I feel bad for Coach Mo. He seems like such a nice guy. Was it any surprise her "team" voted for Julio.

Did anyone notice that every time Tracy had a so called brake down that she tried very hard to cry, but yet again not one tear streamed down her face. she rubs her eyes and she really trys to get them going with no luck. Maybe her time could better spent other then playing uno, studying the book that they gave them, and helping Mo plan his meals
