'The Biggest Loser': Tracey is the Dumbest Contestant EVER!
For most contestants on "The Biggest Loser", losing weight is the main priority. For Tracey, it's about screwing over teammates, eating cupcakes, and altogether being a total psycho. The players are still riding high on having a no-elimination week last time. As Liz so gently points out, it's not a great time to celebrate. After all, that would mean a double elimination this week. It all evens out in the end. Before they know it, it's back to the game. Alison Sweeney has yet another surprise. She's got a trick up her sleeve; the chance at an advantage during this week's weigh-in.
Everyone crowds behind a line. Basically, the first person to step over the line wins the advantage. But there's a catch. Taking the advantage means you lose your trainers. Ali starts the bidding at two pounds. Teams start whispering about how far up it would have to go for them to take the crazy deal... when suddenly, out of the shadows like a 5-foot tall locust, Tracey steps forward to claim her prize. RUKIDDINGME?! She just traded Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels for a measly two pounds? Oh and because Coach Mo is her partner, he's completely screwed too. Hang on folks, because this is only the beginning of her absurdity.
When Bob and Jill learn about how easily disposed of they were, they are beyond shocked. They sit her down and probe her as to why she would do that. She basically cries like a drippy faucet and whines about how scared she is. Um, yeah, pretty much everyone is scared of being sent home. Idiot. They reprimand her and tell her to stop playing the game and just concentrate on losing weight... which is easier said than done.
In a moment of perfect timing, Ali presents us with the season's first temptation challenge. Granted, Sprinkles Cupcakes are legendary. And delicious. And definitely tempting. But most of them realize that losing weight is the main priority at this point in the game. The person who eats the most cupcakes would get all the power at the weigh-in by choosing which person would represent their team on the scale this week. If no one ate any cupcakes, it wouldn't be an issue. The weigh-in would go on as scheduled. But because we've already established that Tracy is a big fat stupid-head, we all know how this little fairy tale ends: she ate four cupcakes.
So now Tracy has complete power over the game. Lovely. It's like having Bush back in office. Guess what Jillian does when she finds out? She flips the eff out. This is why I love her. With classic gems such as "I hate wasting my time, Tracey. It pisses me off," how can you not worship the little firecracker? She rips her a new one, but it seems to go completely in one ear and out the other. Tracey just stands there like a bug-eyed bimbo, seeming completely oblivious to the fact that she's negating the point of the show.
This week's challenge basically involves carrying weights up a giant ramp. They can choose to take 25-pound buckets or two 5-pound buckets at a time. Are they better at strength or speed? Abby has to sit out because of a stress fracture. And of course, the fragile Tracey is still restricted from physical activity (unless ripping apart peoples' souls is considered physical). So Allen and Mo are on their own. Despite this fact, Allen whips out his giant fireman muscles and finishes the challenge first, barely nudging out Team Pink. Then everyone forms a giant circle, holds hands, and sings Kumbaya. Meanwhile, everyone's busting their butts in the gym. They don't know which team member Tracey will nominate, so they're all covering their bases. Back in the dorms, a couple teams have decided to talk to Tracey about who they would like to be put up. Daniel of Team Orange pleads to be the representative. Apparently, Shay has been sick and might not get a good weight loss this week. Tracey seems sympathetic. "Seems" is the operative word. Team Pink is next in line. Amanda's numbers have sucked, so they would like to nominate Rebecca. To further continue the game playing, Tracey says she'll nominate Amanda unless they promise to not vote for Team Purple if they fall below the yellow line. Team Pink is appalled and breaks out the one-finger salute.
Time for the weigh-in. Unfortunately, we all know that Tracy could make or break this thing. Jillian is still fuming over the whole situation. Raise your hand if you're not surprised. The weigh-in starts fine enough. Green has immunity, but they post respectable numbers. Julio, who is forced to go up alone, has a low percentage with a 7-pound loss but it's enough to keep him safe. Then it's time for Tracey's picks. First up is Team Brown, with Liz as the nominee. She doesn't do that great with only a 4-pound loss. Score one for Tracey. Next is Team Blue. Apparently, Tracey thought Rudy couldn't pull huge digits three weeks in a row. That's a bad call on her part. He crushes it. Team Pink doesn't look very confident. They're pretty sure Tracey will go against their wishes... and they're right. Tracey nominates Amanda, who loses enough to keep them safe. Booyah.
Tracey chooses Sean as the Team Red nominee. Unfortunately, he doesn't lose enough and sends his team below the yellow line. We take a quick recess while Rebecca screams that Tracey is "full of crap" and "sick."And we're back. Remember that promise Tracey made to Daniel? Lies. She picks Shay, whose six pounds sends them straight to the bottom. Last but not least, it's Team Purple's turn. Surprisingly, Tracey picks herself instead of Mo. Initially it seemed this was yet another stupid decision, but then the beeyotch lost 11 pounds and got the highest percent of weight loss out of everyone. This has been the only time in The Biggest Loser's history where an 11-pound loss was considered to be a massive FAIL.That left Team Red and Team Orange on the chopping block. Antoine and Sean took one for the team and volunteered themselves to go home. (You hear that Tracey?! That's what being a decent human being sounds like!) Back home, they've each lost over 100 pounds and are looking pretty darn good. Oh and remember Alexandra's secret crush? We were right; it was Antoine. They're together and apparently in love! So at least one good thing came out of Hurricane Tracey.
Next week: Karma pays a certain contestant a visit. Guess who?

Tracey is a jerk for ditching Bob & Jillian WITHOUT ASKING HER PARTNER, but this general castigation of Tracey is totally off base. Tracey is disadvantaged in the game and was seeking a way to stay, so I get that part of it. And sending people home is part of the show. Sad as it may seem, people will get sent home. Tracey was not the one responsible for those people going home, the producers were.
The only people to whom Tracey owes an apology are Mo, Bob and Jillian.
Totally slanted in my opinion to make Tracey look like an enormous bitch but I don't really care. After you watch so many seasons of reality shows you learn to look past the editing.
Team Tracey and Coach Mo all the way (and of course Abby).
Back to the mental ward Tracey
whoever wrote this article is a dumb faggot. she chose 2 lbs and ate cupcakes and she's evil? duh
You are comparing Bush to Tracey? I never saw Bush sell his soul for 4 cupcakes (or weigh over 200 pounds)...and how is that whole Obama thing going for you so far?
Even if I don't like Tracey, losing 11 pounds was cool because of the reaction of Bob and Jillian. I did feel bad for Mo because the lack of trainers hurt him.
I don't trust Tracy. And yes, editing plays a huge role, but really, Tracey's eyes are always all bugged out and crazy looking. She is in another universe. Tracey is going to game play herself right off campus. That beyotch ain't right!
G. Beck: LOL!!!
Bush used to run in the midday Texas heat. A little loco, but still.
Coach Mo and Jillian were my favorites last night.
And Season 5 (Ali's season) is still my favorite. I dont' like "villains", like we're getting so far and in season 6. Just show us real people struggling to make it.
It looks like The Producers have found their villain. I love the bugged out run-away-bride eyes! I'm no fan of Tracey but I do believe she is being made out to be the season's antagonist. People on the show all have issues, some more severe than others. As much as I applaud this show for how much they help people, they also love to exploit the contestants’ weaknesses and flaws. I guess that’s entertainment.
Seeing Antoine and Sean step up like that was really inspirational. They are two of the finest young gentlemen I have ever seen on these types of shows. I hope to see them back.
I knew Tracey was stupid at the outset. Following inactivity for years, she took off in the race like a bat out of hell and could have died as a result. She is playing like Nasty Vicky a couple of seasons ago.I'm so glad she didn't win, and I hope Nasty Tracey gets her comeuppance shortly.
Great recap Brandon! I'm right there with you on Tracy, except I suspect she's less evil, and just dumb.
