'Big Brother 11' The retrospective
There is only one more episode left on 'Big Brother 11', which can mean only one thing: it's time for a retrospective. The most recent development is that Kevin won part 1 of the HoH battle, after Jordan dropped from the spinning log and he struck a deal (that he has no intention of keeping, thank goodness) with Natalie. Part 2 of the competition has Natalie losing again, to Jordan this time. Breaking Big Brother tradition, the HGs are told that all 3 of them will remain until the final night. Kevin admits that at first, he just wanted the competition over with, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized that if his plans worked out, this would give Natalie far less time to work against him in the Jury house.
The rest of the episode is the standard luxury meal and "Hey, remember that time..." conversation, ending with the remaining HGs walking from room to room, talking about all those who have already been eliminated. Big brother promises never before seen footage, but to be honest, the pickings are rather slim. We get to see lots more of Casey in the banana suit, Ronnie weeping to Chima about how Kevin hurt his feelings (and I don;t recall ever seeing Kevin get so angry as he did in that confrontation), and Michele's disturbing sleep noises, that range from the erotic to the frightening.
The funniest moment is when Jordan asks Jeff if he could be any animal, what animal he would want to be. Jess predictably answers an eagle, because they can fly "and they look cool", before turning the same question back around on Jordan. Who answers that she would like be a Koala. Or a "pretty fish" - not a "gross shark". Or, maybe even a squirrel or a dog - as long as it was "an inside dog". Aim high, Jordan!
There is, of course, a whole segment devoted to Jessie...or rather, all about how devoted to himself Jessie is. The best moment is when he is telling Lydia and Michele, in the middle of the night, how "Aaaaammmmmazzzing" this grand slam he once hit was...and they both fall asleep in the middle of the story. He consoles himself by reminding himself that he is just a caterpillar, not yet a butterfly. The segment is bookended by Kevin asks Natalie to admit that her, Lydia and Chima's tears over his eviction was over dramatic - a fact that she denies. Because she can never ever admit to doing anything even remotely wrong.
The rest of it is all just a recap of what we've seen this season: drunken Lydia, crazy Chima, plotting Ronnie, mousy Michele, gardener Jeff and irritating Russell. Were these three - one from each of the original cliques - the most unlikely to end up at the end? Perhaps. The only relevant question now is, who do you want to win? Honestly, I am hoping for Kevin, though I would be just fine with Jordan taking it too. As long as Natalie doesn't win, I'll be happy.

One from each of the original cliques? Nope. There's no one left standing from the Brains clique.
Oops! You are right, Beth! I think the brains weren't much of a factor for me since Ronnie burned out and Chima never seemed all that smart.
I can't stand Natalie!! I hope she gets burned on Tuesday :)
Is it just me or was Kevin FLAMING in tonights episode?
Eric: I think he toned it down more in the beginning because he wasn't sure how the houseguests would react. Now that he's more comfortable with them, he can be himself.
Why do the comments (for me) start at the bottom? I have to read from the bottom to the top. It's weird. Not a good weird either.
I thought the recap (TV recap, not this recap) was kind of boring. You're right Jessica...a lot of it was stuff we already saw.
I'm hoping Jordan WINS and burns the other two. Besides She is HOT !
@Jessica -- LOL! Understandable. At first I was going to put "No Brains left" but thought that might be redundant.
I think that Natalie actually thinks she can win. Which only proves what an idiot she is. I loathe her stratagies. She's a complete dufus.
i think they're keeping all 3 til the last show because they didn't want to chance it losing Jordan in the running before the last epi.
PLEASE JUST NO NATALIE!!!!!! PLEASE!!
Hey Matt Kevin is always flaming!! oh and natalie is always an idiot!
