'Big Brother 11' It's just a game
The last time we checked in on the 'Big Brother 11' house, things had gone exactly as we all expected. Jeff fell for Kevin's clever ruse, put Russell on the block and Russell promptly lost his ever loving mind.
He did this by picking fights with Jeff and Jordan, complete with threat and chest thumping. And that last part was actually Jordan. And, surprising exactly no one, Russell - as the strongest competitor - was sent home. When Thursday's show ended, we were left hanging with an endurance HoH competition that had the HGs running cups of hot chocolate to giant fishbowls, filling them up far enough to grab the floating marshmallow. There's hilarity when BB begins a steady rain, that slicks up the ground enough to ensure lots of spills.
Michele and Kevin are playing for all their worth, while Jordan appears to be taking it easy and Natalie? Well, I'm torn. She either throws the competition or gives up when she realizes she's not going to win. Which just makes her all the more irritating. Kevin believes that it's his "light and floaty step" that gives him the edge. Whatever it was, it allowed him to take the HoH win. And it's not a moment later that he's telling the camera that neither Michele, Jordan or Jeff are safe. I am saddened that it appears that Natalie is.
After his win, he and Natalie talk strategy and try to figure out what will be the most likely competition they will face next - physical or mental - and who should be taken out to increase their chances. Meanwhile, Michele sobs over not winning when it was most critical for her and how she's alone in the house, repeating "it's just a game". Continuing with the theme of sadness, we also hear about Jordan's family losing their house to foreclosure.
There is less arguing going on, since everyone is mindful to be courteous based on the fact that everyone left could be part of the jury that votes on who gets the money. the arguments that do exists are more silly than serious, Such as, Natalie berating Kevin for not defending her from dragon flies - which she believes bite. There is also a disagreement between Jeff and Jordan over whether a certain fruit is a nectarine or a peach. Really, it does more to highlight the general lack of intelligence than anything else.
There's a lot of talk about who the nominations could be. Jordan worries that Kevin plans to backdoor Jeff, while Natalie is very vocal about wanting Michele gone. It's a move that she admits is strategized to keep her hands clean in the eyes of Jeff and Jordan, since at least one of them will be staying. Of course, if Michele stays and Kevin grows some insight into how she's undermining him, it does her no good.
But Kevin gaining insight seems like a long shot when he tells Jeff that his plan is to put up him and Michele. When Jeff asks him why not Jordan, allowing him to play in the PoV to save her, take her off the block and have him put up Natalie, Kevin lamely responds that it would be a lot of responsibility on Jeff's shoulders. None of which really makes a lick of sense. But in the end, Kevin sticks to his plan and does nominate Jeff and Michele.
Do you think this is the best move he could have taken? Would it have been better for him to break up the Jeff and Jordan alliance?

To answer your question the thing to do was put up Jeff and Jordan. Senario 1- Jeff dosen't win veto, bye bye Jeff. Senario 2- Jeff wins veto, tie vote, bye bye Jordan. In either event it's a three way race for hoh next week. One quick final 3 deal with Micheal and boom it's everybody qagainst either Jeff or Jordan. End result He's in the final 3. As it stands if Michelle goes home, it's Jeff and Jordan against Natille for hoh. Kevin and Natille go up pretty much for sure.
And just a quick note for those starting to lose faith in team Jeff. Funny isn't it how he's berating Kevin about keeping his word less that 24 hours after Jeff broke his final 4 deal?
The J&J alliance is endangered no matter how the POV competition goes. (I'm avoid spoilers.) If Jeff wins, Jordan goes up. If Michelle wins, same thing. The only safe outcome for them would be if Jordan wins, and she doesn't have a very good track record.
The final outcome likely depends on Natalie. I'd imagine K/N's worst fear is that Michelle and Jeff will come after them together.
@Little Brother
I agree with you that Jeff is being hypocritical to expect Kevin to keep his word, after he broke his own word by getting Russell out before the final four.
I said this last week, and I have been proven right. Jeff sending Russell home would lead to his (Jeff) own eviction. For starters, Kevin and Natalie had never bothered to ***ociate with Jeff and Jordan until they needed them and their backs were against the wall. Why J&J opted to believe them is beyond me. Both J&J really had a clear shot to the finals until their paranoia got a hold of them and they kicked out Russell.
If Kevin was evicted, he wouldn't have won HOH and perhaps Michele would have won instead, giving her the ability to finally rid the house of Natalie.
Unfortunately, Kevin doesn't have any cojones. He simply lets other people lead him around. Chima dictated his moves in Michele's HOH victory prior to Chima's eviction and now Natalie is basically the HOH, leaving Kevin with only the title. A final two of Kevin and Natalie would be the worst final two since Maggie and Ivette from season six.
Ultimately, I don't feel sorry for Jeff (who is throwing himself a gigantic pity party on the live feeds) because he did this to himself. He let his paranoid feelings about Russell cloud his judgment, so if he is looking for someone to blame his present troubles on, look in the mirror.
Billie, didn't you also predict that Jeff would NEVER use the coup e'tat?
@Erin
Uh, no. I don't ever recall saying he would "never" use the coup d'etat. What I actually said was that I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't use it. Saying what I said and saying he would "never" use it are two entirely different things.
In hindsight, it may have been better for him not to have used the coup d'etat powers, since it would most likely have sent Russell to the jury and then he wouldn't have been around to be used a pawn by Kevin and Natalie. But, we'll never know.
Michelle looked hot in her bikini tonight! I wanted to stuff dollar bills down her trunks. Rawr!
to Jeff, it looks like what comes around goes around. how can Jeff be mad at anyone for breaking a deal now? like HE just did it. what did he expect? dumba$$.
i'm glad Kevin put Jeff up. i hope Michele manages to stay.
and please, someone take out Natalie ASAP!
These were the right nominations. From Kevin's perspective, there is always a chance Natalie could be going home this week if the outsider wins the POV. So Jeff can't be the outsider. Michelle is more likely to win than Jordan, so Jordan should be. So basically unless you can seek an ironclad deal with Michelle that she will not use the POV if she wins it (and you agree to not nominate her) this is the better arrangment. The worst that can happen this week for Kevin is Michelle vs Natalie, and the winner in that battle will probably side with Kevin anyway for the next week, so no harm done.
By the way, here's an evil backstabbing scenario highly unlikely to happen but would be awesome. The POV comes down to Jeff and Jordan like the HOH did last week. They discuss, and Jeff agrees to throw it so Jordan can take him off (because if Jeff wins Jordan would go up). Then Jordan later breaks her word, doesn't use it, and votes to send Jeff home.
Unlikely, but that's about as malicious as you can get.
Best thing for Michelle to take Natalie or Jordan to the end. Neither of those girls have done anything. Michelle's had to fight for survival and everytime she thinks she has an ally, she gets betrayed.
