'Big Brother 11': Coup D'Hot

Jeff_bigbrother11_290 "Big Brother 11" put its trust in America this week to give the power of Coup D'Etat to our favorite houseguest. Thankfully, America didn't let BB down, choosing nice (and, it must be said VERY attractive) guy Jeff. Will he use the power or save it until next week?

Julie welcomes us, looking quite banana-like in a yellow shirt and capri outfit. Lydia, on the other hand, looks like an extra from The Warriors. Julie teases that we'll learn who won the Coup D'Etat...a little later. I would be mad, but I already spoiled it in the opening paragraph so who cares! Whee!

There was a lot of drama in the house this week, so Julie wastes no time kicking the action back to the house, post-veto meeting. Jordan and her clan want Ronnie out, but Lydia is worried she will go instead. What we learn in this entire next segment is that Russell is one paranoid dude. He thinks every innocent conversation (even one about something so innocuous as reading material) is all about him and getting him out of the house. He eventually gets Michele one on one and she spills that people in his alliance, specifically Chima, have schemed against him in the past. Russell confronts Jessie with this information, and Jessie straight-out lies and says Chima's never said that to him. We just saw the footage, Liar McFibberpants! Unfortunately, Russell seems to believe Jessie and Chima more than he believes Michele. Just because they talk the loudest and the longest, Russell, doesn't mean that they talk the truest. Chima gets wind of what's going on (through Natalie, of course) and confronts Michele about it. Michele, inexplicably, completely lies about telling Russell Chima wanted to backdoor him, and then backtracks a bit and admits it in so many words. Strange. Why did she do that? The entire thing blows up into a huge screaming match with Chima and Russell getting up in each other's faces. It was like zero to head bobbing in 3 seconds flat. There was so much more to this blowup on the feeds, so subscribers feel free to discuss away in the comments!

Ronnie, meanwhile, has devised a strategy to get a much needed swing vote: act pathetic and hope Jordan will throw him a sympathy vote. Ronnie, Jordan may be a bit simple but she's not that dumb. He picks just the right time to do it, that is, interrupting Jordan and Jeff when they are making out. Then he farts in the bed next to them! Smooth, Ronnie! Jeff remarks on Ronnie's inadvertent salting of his game. Hee.

Houseguest Q&A is lame, so I will skip it. Just know that Jessie is still really, really bitter about being on slop. Baby. In Russell's session, he admits he apologized to Chima for their fight and says now he needs to adapt considering the crazy behavior he exhibited in the last week. Then he sucks up to Julie a little bit, thanking her for being there (like she's doing it on a volunteer basis - as if!) and calling her beautiful.

Finally, it's time to reveal who won the Coup D'Etat power: JEFF! Just don't mess this up, Jeff, or else America will hate you. Julie gives the secret power holder the chance to use it before the nominee's final speeches...but Jeff smartly declines. Lydia gives a short and sweet speech. Ronnie also gives a sweet speech, until he calls Michele "the worst human being he's ever seen" and tells her he feels sorry for her. Way to go out with class, buddy! Ugh, that just confirms that my dislike for him isn't misplaced. Thankfully, Ronnie is evicted 4-3. I love that the self-professed mastermind of the game didn't even make the jury. In his exit interview with Julie, he says he didn't like Michele because she had no loyalty to him. Then he goes on to say that he was only loyal to Jessie, Natalie and Chima. Not Michele. Julie totally calls him out on expecting Michele to be loyal when he wasn't planning on being loyal to her, and on the fact that he tried to bully Michele into giving him a vote. Go, Julie! Call him out on his ridiculous hypocritical behavior.

It's time for the HoH competition. This week, it's called "Say What?" and is based around messages from viewers that were played in the house the night before. Things get interesting when it gets down to Kevin, Chima and Natalie. GO KEVIN! Unfortunately, Chima takes the win. Sigh. Thank goodness Jeff has the Coup. Here's hoping he uses it to put Jessie and Natalie up and breaks up the alliance of evil.

Apparently on BBAD, Chima also commented that Russell has a small....*achem*. (seems like it's a woman scorned...she made advances towards Russell and he declined, from what I hear.)

This show is edited so badly. The fight on BBAD lasted about 2hours, it included, Kevin vs Ronnie, Chima vs Russell, Russell vs Michele. Chima's not scorned..feeds from yesterday show Russell apologizing to her over and over, he even held a house meeting and apologized to Chima & Ronnie. And week 2 EVERYBODY wanted to backdoor Russell. I love how that was edited out.

As I see it..it will be Jeff FTW! Which is how it should be.

this is the best case possible, as long as everything is said and done, jeff pull whoever off the block and put up jessie and nat.

i am so upset...the fight with ronnie and kevin was the best and they didnt show any of it...i have a new respect for kevin now...and then when ronnie was crying to chima about it...that was the funniest thing I have seen all season...maybe any season...bb messed up not showing that...ronnie is gonna be so sad when he sees that he was not liked by the fans...i almost feel bad for him...but no...

i was praying natalie jessie or chima would get hoh...i dont know why jeff even tried for it...

who will chima put up...russell...lydia...michelle...

do u think jeff will use it if him and jordan are not nominated so he doesnt **** anyone off...i want him so bad to put up jessie and natalie...that will be amazing...

i dont think chima will nominate jeff or jordan because she has to knoe one of them have the power based on the fact that no1 used it tonight...she may think they would only use it to save each other...i hope he uses it no matter what.

where has billybob been???

I hope Jeff can resist the temptation to tell Jordan - that would nullify The Power, and I'd really like to see it used. (He's gotta stop looking so pleased - a poker face is needed!)

I don't think people will guess that J or J have the Power just because it wasn't used tonight. The winner couldn't know whether next week might be a more important time, so unless they REALLY wanted to save Ronnie, why waste it?

I'm sure hoping that he uses it no matter who is nominated (***uming Chima won't nominate her own alliance). He'll annoy the people he puts up instead, but that's the nature of the game. I'd love to see how a vote goes without days to politic beforehand.

Incidentally, do we have any idea when Jeff found out?

Best case scenario for next week would actually be for Jeff or Jordan to be nominated. Think about it...then Jeff would definitely use the Coup d'etat power.

Chima will likely nominate Michele, Kevin, Lydia, or Russell. I don't think Jeff or Jordan are on her radar screen. Jeff could use the power to remove Russell since the two have a secret alliance.

Hopefully Jessie and Natalie will convince Chima to get a "power" player like Russell or Jeff and in doing so force Jeff to use the power. He will likely nominate Natalie and Jessie as replacements.

The lines are clearly drawn: on one side it is Chima, Natalie, and Jessie. On the other side is Russell, Jeff, Jordan, Lydia, Kevin, and Michele. That is 6 to 3 for Jeff's group so he may think his group will still have the upper hand if he or Jordan is not nominated and not use the power. It is in Jeff's best interest to use the power to ensure that one of 3 other housemates goes home and reduces their number to just 2.

Russell is something of a loose cannon and also a major physical competitor. Jeff would do well to get rid of the other male athletes - Jessie first, if at all possible. (So far Natalie hasn't been awfully impressive.)

Has anyone found the "Chip and Zach" show on You Tube?

Ronnie Talbott is one of the main characters. Just watch and listen, then comment. This was made prior to BB.

@Kaylee - Agreed that there was TONS of stuff that happened on the live feeds this week that was left out, but give the show editors a break. They would have needed a 4 hour show to even summarize all the stuff that happened this week. And they still wouldn't be able to fit in the awesome Ghost Story telling session where the entire household apparently thought they were at summer camp for a night.

@Carrie - You ain't never seen The Warriors. Stop frontin'.

@Ronnie - STFU
