'Big Brother 11' Jeff loves Ya Kid K

Jeff_bigbrother11_290 On Sunday night, I was pretty impressed with how Ronnie was making some early moves in 'Big Brother 11'. Tonight, I have to wonder; is it boldness or insecurity?

Sadly, I missed about the first 15 minutes of the show thanks to what my grandfather would have called one rip-snorter of a storm. When the power came back, the HGs were elbow deep in gushing pimples, trying to fish out scrabble letters. The POV competition was underway, but for the sake of my sanity I am going to assume that I didn't miss much beyond the duotone of reminiscence.

As the HGs participating got their letters onto boards, each trying to spell the longest word possible, it seemed like Lydia and Natalie were floundering the most. 'Last' was all Natalie managed to spell - claiming that spot for herself pretty quickly. At least until Jeff admitted that he attempted to Spin That Wheel of fate and spell 'technotronics'. While I am sure Ya Kid K appreciated the shout out, 'technotronic'  is not actually a legitimate word. Lydia doesn't fare much better, not quite spelling 'civilization' , but at least her word is real.

It is this fact that causes Russell to Get Up! (Before the Night is Over) in Jeff's face. Jeff is just trying to Work out and Move That Body, but Russell is ready to Pump Up The Jam.  The sound of their Voices draws many of the HGs attention and for a moment things get Crazy enough that it looks like they may actually fight. But before one of them can declare "Hey Yoh, Here We Go" Russell goes back into the house and Jeff finds a target in Natalie. She gets Rockin' Over the Beat of his fast pace on the elliptical machine to throw just as much anger back at him, making the Athletes are the first clique to start to self destruct.

Laura decides to Turn It Up, telling Russell she thinks that Jeff threw the competition. Russell puts One + One together and agrees. He also thinks Jeff is spending a lot of time with Jordan and he does not Like This. Lydia makes her move at the perfect time, appealing to Russell on her behalf while making him Recall that Braden is cruising under the radar. Russell tells her that Natalie and Jessie are the ones who want her gone and when Natalie joins them, Lydia confronts her on the matter.  Or rather, accuses her of acting like an a$$ towards her.

Even still, the matter is resolved quickly enough as Lydia basically tells them "I Want You By My Side." She leaves while Jessie comes in and they discuss Braden as a possible replacement on the block. Soon thereafter, Russell pulls Ronnie into the pantry and tells him what the Athletes are thinking and Robbie assures him that the Brains will support his choice. And then he runs to tell Jeff and Jordan.

It's screwed up enough the Jeff is finding out what his own clique members are doing through Ronnie, but things jump The G. Train to the supremely stupid when Jeff convinces Ronnie to tell Braden as they all hang out on the couches. Russell sees this and then notes that not long after Braden appears to have the Runaway Blues. Seeing The Circle Unbroken, Russell pulls Ronnie back into the pantry and confronts him. Ronnie does his best to lie through his teeth, but Russell smells a rat. Ronnie tries to frown and talks about how he's pissed off, but pissed off at what? Russell had given nothing away - even when Ronnie twice asked him what people were saying, Russell just said he thought Braden knew. So who is Ronnie supposedly pissed at? It should be himself, for overplaying his hand.

It goes a long way to prove that at the moment, Ronnie is not a big threat. Braden, on the other hand, is judged a bit more harshly. As such, Lydia is taken off the block and Braden is put up. Afterward, he tells the camera that Jessie "misrepresented me because he's negligent". Someone's daddy is lawyer, huh? It's OK though, because Lydia is there to pick up his kooky 'Secret' beliefs, stating that she put her desires for destiny out into the universe and got back what she wanted and now she knows she can stay in the game.

Was Braden unfairly targeted? Did Lydia step up and play the game or did the magical power of the universe save her? Did Ronnie act out of over thinking his game play or did he regress and try to win points with the Popular clique? What the heck was Lydia wearing on her head? And are you impressed that I managed to get nearly every single released by Technotronic worked into this recap?

Poor Ronnie, those two meat-heads will crush him. Quite possibly litterly too.

I'm impressed, Jessica. You gotta Move This recap to the top of the front page.

wow, Lydia sprung to action to save her own BE-hind. but nooooo...not in the POV comp, wtf? who thinks of the word BEFORE they get the letters? here's a clue houseguests--you get as many letters as you can and then you make the longest word possible from them. dang, the collective brain resources of this group is quite suspect. but i guess we figured that coming in, right?

anyway. Lydia played some wild game tonight i gotta respect that. (i'm trying to overlook the shades of Natalie in her "thank you Baby Jesus" exclamation.) if i were in the house and i saw that girl in action, i'd now want her out. or partner up with her, dang.

as far as targeting Braden, it's fair game in the name of saving your own BE-hind.

Ronnie, who's SUPPOSED to be a smart one, once again has his head up the proverbially a$$. way to throw yourself into the radar there, big guy. Jessica, in answer to your question, i think it was the latter, that he was trying to win points with the Populars. i think he wanted to be "the man." (good luck with that strategy, Ronnie.)

There's something very sweet -- and very smart -- about Lydia. I like her a lot. Jessie the Pinhead and Ruscle? Not so much! Line of the night: Laura saying "I can't help it if I have big boobs!" Yeah. Right.
And here's hoping Chima packs up her huge vocabulary and heads for obscurity!

This show should have been canceled years ago. It is certainly lowest common denominator television. just as all those who view it are of the lowest common denominator

This recap was distracting to me, i enjoy the witty comments but all your time seems to be focused on puns that i didnt get, might be my age but im disapointed(by the way, i spell as good a jeff)

Hey Rena. The fact you take time out of your day to come here and trash us and the show with your same lame *** comment as before just demonstrates the trashy demeanor your 50 cats have come to know. See you after Thursday's episode for your new installment of "Same Lowest Common Denominator Speech" again.

Lydia really overplayed the "poor me" routine and backstabbed when she did not have to. Now she has lost Jeff and Jordan as allies in order to gain Jesse, Russell and Natalie as allies who really do not like her.

Great re-cap. Loved your knowledge of obscure songs.

Lydia did exactly what you're supposed to do in this house. She saved herself. Was Braden the right person to put up? Who knows. It may be too early to tell.

I think Jessie, Russell and Jeff all have huge targets on their backs now. With Jessie's target the largest. Have you seen his back. Good heavens, it's huge! And after hearing the horrible names he called Russell on After Dark, I'm starting to like Jeff less and less.

Let's hope they send Cha-Cha-Cha Chima Pet home and keep Braden. He's a totally tubular and far out dude. I don't think he knows where he is sometimes.

Now where are Linda and BillyBob? I miss them!

Peace.

Here I am!! I'm not sure where Billy Bob is. Well I like Jeff, sorry JVice. I do watch after dark but I must have missed that part but Russell deserves to be called a lot of bad names. Jeff is definitely not the smartest person around but when you put in next to Jordon he is a looks like a genius.

I don't even know who I like anymore...Ronnie was an idiot last night...I still kinda like Kevin and I am starting to like Bayden but it looks hopeless for him...I personally do like jeff but I always like the person most of the house does not like. Jeff will probably get nominated unless and someone on his team or Jordon is HOH.

I am hoping for a last minute change and Chima will go but I dont think see it.
