RSS'Real Housewives of NYC' reunion: Kelly has no friends
Tuesday's "The Real Housewives of New York City" reunion was filled with shrill crosstalk, accusations, tears, smoldering glares and aggressive adjustment of tight sheath dresses. And that was just Part One.
Let's break it down by housewife shall we?
Kelly Killoren Bensimon
The most hated housewife in recent memory didn't redeem herself much. She explained that a stalker ex-bf had trumped up the widely reported assault charges against her and then she cried on camera. Later, she attacked Bethenny for being weak and a crybaby. Who's delusional?
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps
LuLu tried to keep it classy (she does rock the one-shoulder look well) by not going into too much detail about her estranged husband's new Ethiopian squeeze. And apparently, she can still hold onto the title "Countess." Whew. For all her airs though, she finally called out Kelly, asking if she had any close girlfriends. Even though Kelly claims to have a select few, we think not. Brava, Countess.
The show's "Greek chorus" was attacked on many fronts: Kelly, Alex and Ramona. Kelly had an issue because she's Kelly. Alex preferred to be talked about in person, and Ramona was retaliating for Bethenny's comments about her dating tips. There was so much drama, Bethenny was much more subdued than usual and was even struggling to hold back tears (thanks for pointing that out Andy Cohen).
For all her smart mouthiness, however, she was the calmest one there, taking Alex's criticism with a "fair enough," not really engaging in an argument with Kelly and driving the point home quietly that Ramona's blog attack, claiming Bethenny's notions were why she was single, was just mean.

Jill Zarin
What's to say? She's loud, emotional and sometimes jumps to conclusions. But she defended Bethenny vociferously, and that's one of the many reasons to love her.
Alex McCord
The female half of Silax didn't seem like much without her ego-boosting shopping partner present. Yes, she's a social climber, but somehow, that's not as annoying as it was last season. We really just can't seem to muster up any interest unless she and Simon are doing outrageous things together.
Ramona Singer
She's a crazy-eyed child, and that's why we forgive her at times. And other times when she crosses the line, we don't. Going on and on about her business? Eh. Annoying but acceptable. Screaming at Bethenny and hurting our ears? Trying to paint Simon as an abuser? You need a time out.
Overall, there was lots of "we're not really friends" or "you don't really know me" stuff going on. It's pretty sad that with the exception of Jill and Bethenny, these women haven't really learned to play nice and share.
Having said that, we can't wait till Part Two. Your thoughts?

Jeez what a friggin fiasco!! I thought Luann Jill and bethany and even alex showed great cl***....what the hell is wrong with pyscho ramona??? and self absorbed ice queen Kelly don't these two women have any self control and manners???? do they think this makes for good tv??? I totally lmao when jill sets ramona straight and I loved when luann asked kelly if she had any girl friends and eventually tells miss load mouth R her separation"was none of her business" I hope these two loser women "kelly and Ramona" are removed from this show...Kelly ..your bf didnt have to show up to court the DA had enough evidence to charge you with, nobody beleives you at ALL
I am firmly on Team Bethany too. And Kelly's just a nut job. I love how these "models" are only models as a convenience I've yet to see Kelly "constantly in the papers" for her so called career. She's not as famous as she likes to think she is. And that fight she had with Bethany where she arranged to meet her, turned up late and tried to spin her terrible behaviour to her advantage. I admired Bethany for not slugging her.
As for "Countess" LuAnn; she is only a countess by marriage, she wasn't born into it so she doesn't get to claim her husband's family's history as her own and then lord it over everyone else. I'm rather glad she's been dumped by the count, perhaps it'll bring her stolen airs back to the real world. Her book on etiquette is a joke considering she grew up poor and is trading on her husband's name not her own - talk about karma! Silax is just odd without Simon, I half expected him to turn up perhaps he will in part 2. I hope so he is the perfect gay sidekick!
Well, it was loud and looney at times but what-the-heck it's t.v. They all have some baggage that they carry with them and some of it erupts when they become emotional...My favorites are Jill and Bethenny because they seem more grounded than the others and use that N.Y. fast talking wit to get them thru. The others are a bit ho-hum....
And we have drama at the reunion, but that is expected of these housewives, what fun would the show be w/o the drama. I love it!! Out of all the housewives my least favorites are kelly and ramona. Kelly is full of it and ramona wants to always be the center of attention, if she doesn't get things her way she pouts..get over it. I love Jill and Bethany and the friendship they have on the show and off. I admire Jill when her friend Bethany is being attacked and how she comes to her defense that is true friendship. I wish all the ladies much success especially Bethany with her best seller book. I love the show and now I have my eyes on the housewives of new jersey..nyc was great but I think the housewives of jersey are going to kick ***!!!!LOL
They should rename the show

Bethany is the only one of these women with any sense. Jill has her looney tune moments, but not nearly as many as the rest. She's not so bad. But Alex and Simon.... granted, they don't snipe and criticize as much as the others, but everything they say sounds soooooo contived. They are wannabes in the biggest sence of the word, and their superior airs and so unfounded. I really detested the comment Simon made to the interviewer about "one-upping Jill, yet again." They remind me of people who were maybe unpopular or ostricized in some way early in life, and are now over-compensating to make themselves feel "good enough". Also, they are about the most inattractive couple on T.V. I just cringe when they talk about their fashion sense in such a superior manner.All the ugly clothes in the world cant't hide Alex's loooong face, protruding ears, sunken eyes, etc. Simon, with his ,well, unattractive, EVERYTHING rally needs to keep his clothes on. The episode where he got the m***age was nauseating! None of this would matter if they didn't try to act like something they're not. Can't stand them...Really
Silex is bad, but Ramona is the worst. I really do hope someone asks her why she has to open her eyes so wide all the time! It's unnerving! Just watch her- if she's not on something, then I just don't understand her whole general way of being.She has to be on some kind of medication to act the way she does, all twitchy and hyper all the time. And I am sorry, Mario is not hot!They should enjoy their marriage because nobody else would want either of them. I hope that all the other housewives let her have it on Thursday for all the mean, vindictive things she did to each and every one of them.
I definitely was on Team Right Couch! haha I love Jill, Bethenny and I really do like LuAnn. I know some find her pretentious, but she has had experience in an interesting way, that I can understand why she wrote the book.. On another note, I get the impression that LuAnn is a very kind person. I've read the blogs of other housewives from other shows, and they talk about how down to earth she is. And any upper-east sider that goes to the lower east side to hang out and have fun with her niece has got to be pretty laid back. Love Jill & Bethenny like always. I'm indifferent towards Alex. Ramona is like a child. Seriously. The way she reacts to things is the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. I mean she said at one point something along the lines of "well you hurt my feelings so I wrote that to get back at you." I'm sorry I'm half her age and me and my girlfriends haven't acted that way since... well ever really, but even similar since probably middle school. And Kelly is delusional. I really don't know what is wrong with her... the gr*** is not always greener no matter how much fertilizer you put on it??? WHAT????? And she said many more too. She blames EVERYONE else for everything bad in her life, her ex, her ex co worker, Bethenny. She makes no apologies for being perpetually late, especially to her meeting with Bethenny, and yet she looks at the situation and still thinks she was in the right. I really don't understand. She doesn't live on the same planet as everyone else.
Can't wait until tomorrow!

funny that Kelly mentioned having so much "fertilizer," because INDEED SHE IS SO FULL OF ****. she is delusional, maybe on drugs? please remove her from this show.
