Wentworthmiller_dominicpurcell_prisonbreak_s3_240 Previously on "Prison Break," Michael has Scylla, the General has Sara, Christina has Lincoln and Michael must choose who to save.

Mahone and Michael concoct a plan in which Michael deals with the General and Mahone bargains with Christina. When the General goes to the drop-off, Michael leaves a dummy Scylla case and rescues Sara from the General's loft. Meanwhile, Mahone meets with Christina and gives her a Scylla lookalike that is actually a bomb. It manages to kill Christina's Henchman but not Christina. Because she is like a freakin' cockroach.

Self is questioned in the hospital by Agent Johnson and Agent Johnson (no relation) about his involvement in the assassination, as they become the next group gunning for the Brothers, but he won't tell them anything. One of Christina's men, dressed as a doctor, injects him with something and it fries his brain.

Fernando is approached by C-note, who is looking for the Brothers on behalf of Kellerman, who will give them both their freedom in exchange for Michael, Linc and Scylla. They try calling Sara's phone and get T-Bag at the General's loft, who meets with them and whom they promptly kidnap and torture for information about the General.

Once the Brothers, Sara and Mahone are back together, they agree to destroy Scylla. Just then... Kellerman calls. Dun dun dun! Kellerman is working with a group that is against the Company. The U.N. wants Scylla because no one government should have such power.

Our team of heroes steal supplies from the same hospital where Self is being held. The agents recognize Mahone and arrest him. The General tracks Linc (and by extension Michael, Sara and Mahone) via his cell phone and kidnap the Brothers and Sara outside the hospital. The General shows them a live feed of Sophia, demanding Scylla from them or Sophia dies. Suddenly, C-note and Fernando bust in and save the day!

The team leaves without killing the General, at Sara and Fernando's urgings. I'm sure that won't come back to bite them in the ass. C-note advises them that Kellerman is their last option, so our roving band of heroes make a break for it. Fernando sacrifices himself so they can get away. The agents interrogate Mahone and Fernando but neither cracks. Because they're both awesome.

Back at HQ, Christina and a Henchman burst in to steal Scylla. Our team gets the drop on them and Michael gives Christina an ultimatum. She pushes him and pushes him and he finally shoots but he's out of ammo. Sara shoots her, but not before Christina gets Michael in the chest.

Sara takes Linc to the hospital and Michael takes Scylla to Kellerman, gunshot wound and all. Kellerman assures him that the entire group is exonerated and Michael hands over Scylla.

Montage of the General being arrested, Christina's dead body and immunity for Sara, Michael, Linc, Mahone, C-note and Fernando. Pam and Sophia and LJ have all been located and are safe. Hugs all around. Kellerman then asks the group if T-Bag gets exoneration too. They vote no. I snicker.

Sara and Michael walk along the beach and talk about their baby. I keep waiting for a giant shark to burst out of the ocean and eat them or something. Instead, Michael gets a nosebleed, Sara looks sad and they exchange I love yous. Apparently, his not-fully-treated brain aneurysm has reared its ugly head.

Four Years Later
Mahone mails a card to Pam and says good-bye to his new lady, the FBI agent he used to work with.  Linc and Sophia say good-bye at their beach house. Fernando says good-bye to his wife and daughter. Self is a vegetable in a care facility. C-note has a house in the suburbs. Kellerman is a congressman. The General is sent to the Chair. T-Bag is still in the clink. Sara and little Michael buy lillies at a street fair and meet up with Mahone, Fernando, and Lincoln. They all go together to put flowers on Michael's grave. The headstone says "Michael Scofield. He saved the world. A lot." No, just kidding. It says Michael J. Scofield: husband, father, brother, uncle, friend. 10.8.1974 - 11.4.2005, which probably means he didn't live to see his son born. The show ends with a shot of the origami bird Linc put on Michael's headstone.

What did you guys think? Satisfying ending? It certainly was nice to see all the heroes finally free to live their lives, though it did seem a little too Disney for me.

Michael's tombstone said "Be the Change You Want to See in the World". Any die hard fan remembers that from the first episode.

Michael suffered from a brain aneurysm. Remember that scene on the beach with michael and sara when suddenly michael's nose began to bleed? that was a symptom.

I know what you're all thinking though. Didn't Michael get treatment for that from the Company? Yes, but only partial treatment. Remember when the General makes a deal with Linc that Michael will receive the rest of his treatment only once got Scylla back for him?

Beth and Jim, thank you. Funny what you forget over the seasons.

Jim, I had dismissed the brain aneurysm thing because I thought he'd been fully treated for that. Thanks!

Michael died because the Company apparently screwed him, surgery-wise; whether on purpose or not is unclear.

Mahone mailed a birthday card to his ex-wife, but he apparently started a new life with the FBI agent he used to work with.

A satisfying ending? Absolutely not!! It made little to no sense. Why bring back C-Note, and not Gretchen, LJ, Maricruz, or any number of other characters? Limited budgetitis?

Why did the General's daughter disappear so fully? She would have been a perfect character to develop in opposition to the General, one who could have aided the "brothers" much more believably than Kellerman!

KELLERMAN! Who we last saw dead in a government van, shot in the head, IIRC, underneath an overp*** after he had testified against the Company and cleared the brothers the first time.

All in all, the series finale was as bad as I feared it would be. The first season? Brilliant television. The second season? Pretty good and still coherent. The third season? Declining, with occasional glimpses of the old magic.

The last season? The first half was running on fumes. The second half was a disaster. Problem #01? The weight of all the previous bad decisions and plot gaps--holes the writers could not overcome. Problem #02? Michael's mother: a thoroughly wretched, irredeemable character.

It ended not with a bang...

****ED UP END! F...rs could have let him live for everythin he have done in all of those seasons. HAve no idea why they made such end... I was extremely dissapointed, the end would have been better if Michael gets to live. Now im gonna be depressed for the rest of the day!
Can u guys tell me why the f... they made such disappointing end?????????????? FOR WHAT F.... REASON!? Is that a way of showing us that there will be no continuation of Prison Break ???? WHY !!!!?

Thanks for the info guys, I've amended my recap.

worse ending possible, im so dissapointed, did michael really have to die?? come onnnnnnnnn! EVERYONE WANTED HIM TO END HAPPY WITH SARA, plus they rushed the whole KELLERMAN situation, michael would have never ever bought that he was trying to help!
why did he dieeeeeeeeeeeeeee! he could have gotten surgery they couldve left them with money, they couldve sold scylla, the mom couldve left a will, anything ANYTHING except this ****ty unsatisfying sad moronic ending

"KELLERMAN! Who we last saw dead in a government van, shot in the head, IIRC, underneath an overp*** after he had testified against the Company and cleared the brothers the first time."

No, we did NOT. Go back and watch the scene. All we see is Kellerman in the van (with a guard) and then there is gunfire - we do not see Kellerman killed. Most likely it was the guard in the van because Kellerman was rescued.

oh.my.god.

I was almost in tears during that last scene.

i cried...i didnt expect that but once i saw the nose bleed i know it was gonna happen...i almost with i turned it off right before that cause for a second i turned it was over...i have to admit it was a good ending...everyone thought they would all live happily ever after
