Nicklachey My Tivo's description of this week's "One Tree Hill" promised "unexpected guests" at Lucas and Peyton's wedding. This made me excited, picturing long-lost cast members like Karen, Deb, Whitey and even Dan. Who do we get instead? Julian, and...Nick Lachey. Yippee.

It's wedding day for Peyton and Lucas, and it looks like they're getting married without either of their parents in attendance. Just like their childhoods! (Aw, just kidding Karen. You were an actual parent. Larry and Dan, on the other hand...) Also MIA is their officiant, so Haley steps in, gets ordained online and does the ceremony herself. After a few glitches at the beginning things go beautifully (to match the beautiful lakeside setting) and Luke and Peyton finally make it official. Things can't go too beautifully, of course, so at the end of the night when Lucas goes to get the restored Comet ready to show Peyton, her placenta previa strikes and he comes back into the house to find her passed out and bleeding on the floor. Will she be OK? I guess we have to tune in next week to find out!

In other news, Julian shows up to the wedding...with the actress who was supposed to play Brooke in the movie as his date. That's creepy, Julian. Brooke loses it and her freak out leads her to find Nick Lachey in Peyton's recording studio, force him to put on a tux and be her date for the night. Is bringing Nick Lachey a status symbol? Because my friends probably wouldn't think so. It certainly makes Julian jealous, though, so mission accomplished Ms. Davis. After their dates disperse at the end of the ceremony they share a nice moment together and Brooke even admits she misses Julian before running away. Is there hope for those crazy kids? I'm thinking...yes.

Nathan is having a bad day of his own, as he found out that his fellow Chiefs player got the call to join the Clippers and not him. It puts a damper on his whole day until Haley takes him backstage during the reception for a little slutty wedding sex to cheer him up. Married people are hot! Especially when they take off their shirts. Thank you, James Lafferty.

Also in this episode: Mia and CHASE! are still sweating Mia's revelation that he lost his virginity to Brooke (and I still do not care), Mouth and Millie are still going strong, and Skills is still with Jamie's teacher.

Random thoughts:

  • LOVED Skills putting Jamie on a leash because of "what happened at Luke's last wedding." Hee! Also loved that Skills' walkie name was Denzel.
  • I give Peyton's baby/death storyline a lot of grief, but I really did enjoy Peyton's conversation with Brooke about Brooke taking care of Lucas and the baby if something happens to her. It felt realistic and heartfelt and not at all forced. Good job, ladies.
  • Nathan to Lucas, right before the ceremony: "Whatever I said at Lindsey's wedding, just go with that." Ha! Any time someone can give Lucas hell about how he treated Lindsey is a time I like.
  • Peyton's choice of traditional music at the ceremony was surprising. I figured she would walk to The Cure or a live performance by Fall Out Boy something.
  • OMG total love for Julian thinking Nick Lachey was on "Dancing with the Stars," and then after his notBrooke date tells him it was actually Nick's brother Drew, thinking it was "Laguna Beach" instead -- just as Stephen Colletti (CHASE!) walks by and says that wasn't Nick Lachey but "some other tool." Oh, Stephen. In jokes are fun, as is making fun of yourself. Julian's 98 Degrees joke a few minutes later was just icing on the hilarious, making fun of Nick Lachey cake.

Overall, I thought this was a darn entertaining episode and a good mix of the ridiculous (Nick Lachey) with the heartfelt (all of the wedding festivities).

What did you guys think?

Oh, I toatally agreed with you. However, I actually missed the entire cemermony scene, never should've answered that damn phone call! I will definetly re-watch it later. I am still laughing over the whole Jamie on a leash, too funny!Skills has always kept me laughing from the beginning of the series, he's always got those histarical one-liners. Again I too loved the 98 degrees and Laguna Beach puns. I knew the wedding wouldn't be able to go all so smoothly. I just hope Peyton and the baby survive. Can't stand the wait for next week.

Lucas and Peyton get married! this is the first episode that I have seen in a while and I have to say it was not that bad.

Everything you said pretty much summed up the feeling I had for this episode.

A few questions, when did everybody change so much in their looks. Does Skills not like black girls. I am not racist, i am black, but it is just funny to me because this show has really never had a mojor black female character. I love Brooke's mom. Who the hell are all these random characters and what the hell is Nick Lachey doing here.

Favorite moment: Haley looked dumb at first at the alter but I liked how she brought it all back together.

Second moment: I liked kissing montage at the wedding recepction.

Just a quick question - Brooke told Julian that Sam was "living with her birth mom." I know she was going to stay with her birth mom for a while, but do you think she is now living there permanently ?

I love everything about this show and it will be such a waste over the past 6 going on 7yrs of me watching this show to see anymore pain happen to peyton. But as always the true fan that i am i will be watching.

Nothing special. I thought it was ridiculous. I didn't enjoy it one bit except for Nathan and Haley's scenes. They were heartfelt and not forced or contrived.

PLEASE!!! Don't let Peyton die. Is this Mark's attempt at trying to resolve the Brucas Leyton controversy. Lucas and Peyton belong together. Brooke is the sex-kitten but NEVER the marrying kind. I have this feeling that she is going to end up raising Lucas and Peyton's baby since they aren't returning for season 7. I hope they both reconsider. Tree Hill is LUCAS'S Story!--GMA

Beautiful episode, except did they ever say why Karen and Andy (and Lucas's little sis) weren't there? I wish Dan had at least watched from a distance, too. But mostly it was a really good episode. It had some humor and was bittersweet in places and very touching in others.

I'm not a huge Lucas/Peyton fan. I do like them, am just not in love with them. I still thought the episode had many terrific things about it.

I was glad to see Julian back. He asked about Sam! If he hadn't, that would have been so wrong. Plus I liked his speech to Brooke's mom.

Many other things were nice too but I will stop there.

I feel that if peyton dies then i will not watch the show like their is no need to waist time on a show that won't have peyton. Lucas will be alone with the evil fetus so what's the point of it all. And if Brooke and Julian don't get together what's the piont. OTH is getting so predictable.

omg cant believe fans of oth are slaggin it off not true fans if i say so myself. I love oth and nout or nothin will change that!!!
