'Private Practice' dumps Idina Menzel
We're reeling like an uncontrollable crush on a married guy towards next week's season finale of "Private Practice". Everyone is trying to figure out what, and who, they want. Addison and Noah are still dancing around each other, Violet is getting bigger and bigger and the baby daddies are swarming, Sam and Naomi keep prolonging their inevitable reunion, and Dell... well, Dell is surly.
Addison
There are no other heart doctors at St. Ambrose, it seems, because Addison's patient Janine needs a heart transplant, and of course, only Noah is around. Fortunately for Janine, her husband Phillip is the same blood type, and just he happens to end up brain dead hours before she's going to die of heart failure. Coincidence? I don't THINK so. After receiving the heart, Janine says she thinks that Phillip's brother Malcolm, who dotes on her, murdered Phillip to provide the heart. But there's no evidence, so that goes no where. But the guy who played Malcolm was one big dude, rhinestoned shirt or not, so I would have let that be myself. And Charlotte was right to cry foul; Addison and Noah were way too fast in thinking they got a free heart fair and square. There has to be some kind of ethics rule about that. Or at least a good taste rule.
Speaking of taste, did anyone else notice that Noah's wife wasn't mentioned ONCE this episode? Gee, how's that baby doing? I guess we'll find out next week when she makes a return appearance for the season finale.
Sheldon and Violet and Pete
Pete and Lisa were becoming more serious (and I bet Taye Diggs was about three feet off camera during the Pete and Lisa bed scene) and so Pete tells her that Violet may be carrying his child. She's actually cool with it, but tells him to get his act together and figure out what he wants to do. So he does, and he dumps her for Violet and the unknown future.
But before he can tell Violet this fact, Sheldon proposes to Violet. Drops down on his knee, and admits he can't live without her (whoever the father of the baby might be). Team Sheldon! And again, I shake my head over the fact that Violet still hasn't found out who the father is and Pete gave up Idina Menzel for her. Idina Menzel, for crying out loud.
Cooper and Sam and Naomi
Sam treats Donna, a teacher who is sleeping with one of her teenage students, Bobby, and, ew, Sam defends her. Bobby is only a month away from turning eighteen, so it's cool, and she may even lose her job, says Sam! Oh noes! Bobby, however, is Cooper's patient, and Cooper is very Coopery about it. Cooper mad! Cooper angry! But from this situation, Sam takes that even though there may be love involved, some things are just not meant to be, and he un -friends Naomi. Oh, that won't take.
Meanwhile, Naomi is being wooed away from Oceanside by rich sugar-daddy doctor William who promises to let her rule the world at his fancy state-of-the-art practice-to-be. Run, Naomi, run, do it! But it turns out the practice William currently owns is Pacific Wellcare... Charlotte's practice. Naomi and Charlotte cat-fight brewing. I have my money on Charlotte.
Dell
Dell is sulky and whiny and snarky to his co-workers. In this economy, Dell, you should be shiny and happy and peppy. He still hasn't found his daughter, but he doesn't seem to be looking too hard. He knows what Heather does for a living. Google that and St. Louis, and start making phone calls, Dell. Badabing.

I love Addison and Noah!
The Noah/Addison scenes for me were unpleasant. Are the writers trying to set up the scenero where Noah's wife dies and it's Addisons fault and they save the baby? What would have been nice if Noah didn't have the baggage and he and Addison just flirted and moved into a relationship. But the complications of his wife and unborn child makes them both seem horrible. In the promo it shows them getting physical and the wife accuses Addison of having feelings for Noah. This is all so messy. I don't really see a positive way Addison and Noah can be together with out the creep label on both of them. Didn't she learn anything in Seatle Grace anout Adultry? The writer that came up with this storyline and the one who approved it should really check themselves. Have to be reallt twisted to come up with this.
Southloand was way better this week....week 3. I may have to drop Private Practice for Southland.
So very sick of Dell and his brooding. He never was a favorite of mine, now I can't stand the sight of him.
2 words. James Morrison! The shaggier look, yummy. I truly hope he's not a loser.
I also detected a backstory in Charlotte's reaction to him. Not just employee/boss there, methinks.
I'm with Michael on the Addison/Noah storyline. It's just too 'ew' and 'yech'. Does every drama have to have an adultery storyline in it to be worth watching?? I actually go do something in the kitchen when Addison/Noah come on. It's just pathetic. And Del, well he just needs to grow up and grow a 'pair' and stop whining and being so rude to his employers, after all, Naomi does employ him to some extent. What he said to her was totally uncalled for.
Bill Buchanan!!! I hated seeing him die on 24 but was nice to see him walking around with a new 'do on Priv Pract!
Yes! I agree with others that they need to lose the Addison/Noah adultery storyline. I wish Shonda Rimes wasn't so invested in making all of her main characters in Grey's and Private Practice such selfish immature people. If you know the stove is hot, why keep putting your hand on it? I love Cooper and Charlotte. Dell needs to snap out of it or go. Pete should have stuck with Lisa and Violet should marry Sheldon, as he'll put up with her better than anyone else.
Wooohoooo! Bill Buchanan is alive! I was growing bored with this show until I saw Bill....er I mean William. Please, please make him a regular!
Ugh. I'm so grossed out by Noah and Addison. Can this be over already?
