Zacharylevi_chuck_s2_240 "Chuck" ended its season in grand fashion, with wedding(s), mayhem, gunplay, true love, bro-bonding, man-hugs, a passing of the torch, the single greatest wedding disaster of all time, and one hell of a set-up for next season. You hear me, NBC? Next season!

The Future
Now that Chuck is free of the Intersect, everyone wants to know what he's going to do with the rest of his life. General Beckman offers him a place on the Intersect team, but Chuck declines -- it's time to live a normal life! First order of business: Bye bye Buy More! Chuck and Casey quit together. Emmett is furious.

Second order of business: Finally get together with Sarah, for real. The government just gave him a substantial amount of back pay for spy-gaming, and he wants to spend it on her: "What I'm getting at here is ... Sarah Walker, will you do me the honor of taking a vacation with me?" Oops. She's already got plans -- heading up the new Intersect project with Bryce. Chuck despondently slumps into the reception hall, where he discovers some dead cater-waiters. Ted Roark has taken over -- he wants the Intersect, or he'll kill the bride.

Wedded bliss
Chuck tells Morgan to tell Sarah he forgot the rings -- she knows that's not true, which means something is up -- and Morgan volunteers to stall the wedding. There follows a sequence of such utter awesomeness that I hesitate to even TRY to describe it, but here goes: Chuck goes to the Castle and finds Bryce, who volunteers to stand in for the Intersect -- Fulcrum has always thought it's been in his head. Sarah skulks around the reception hall, looking for wedding gifts that double as deadly weapons. Strangely, she rejects the waffle iron.

Meanwhile, Morgan has come up with a plan to stall -- he brings Jeffster up to the altar for a little pre-wedding entertainment. And they break into Mr. Roboto, with Jeff on Keytar and Lester on vocals. The congregation stares at them in horror, and Mama and Papa Awesome trade swigs from a hip flask, while Ellie attempts to regain her inner calm in the bride's room by doing a little yoga. About midway through the song, Chuck and Bryce return to the hall, the music kicks up a notch with full orchestration, and the action goes CRAZY -- Sarah is throwing steak knives, Bryce is shooting, Roark's goons are blowing everything away, the cake and centerpieces and flowers are disintegrating in a hail of gunfire, everything is going to hell.... and THEN, when Roark's goons have the upper hand, Casey's special forces team parachute into the hall from the skylight (I KNEW that skylight would come in handy) and shoot the place to hell, rescuing everyone. At the Altar, Jeffster is wrapping it up, and Jeff sets off two handheld flares for their pyrotechnic finale. This sets off the fire alarms and sprinklers. Ellie's wedding is officially ruined. (And awesome!)

Fortunately, Chuck has that government paycheck to spend, so he whips up an impromptu beach wedding -- what Ellie wanted anyway -- with the help of Casey's Special Forces Wedding Planners (!!!). It's gorgeous and perfect, and even the Awesomes are touched. Plus! Bryce, watching the ceremony from afar, realizes that Sarah is in love with Chuck -- she's not coming with him on world-saving duty.  Finally! These two are FINALLY going to be happy together! Yay!

Complications
Or not... see, Miles, one of Casey's Special Forces guys, is actually working for the enemy -- and we're not talking Fulcrum. Fulcrum is just one cog in the eeeeeevil machine called The Ring. (No word on if it's run by a shudder-stepping girl with long black hair and seriously bad posture.) Miles shoots Roark, lures Casey into Roark's cell, kills the rest of Casey's team, and then knocks Casey out (Casey saved Miles' life once, you see, and Miles isn't willing to kill him -- yet.)

At the reception, Papa Bartowski/Orion meets up with Bryce-- who knew all along about Orion being Chuck's dad -- and tells him 1) he knows the Intersect has been changed in some way, and 2) whatever else happens, leave him and Chuck out of it. Bryce agrees, and goes off with his handler -- who Papa Bartowski, who ALSO has an old Intersect in his head, realizes is not who he seems. Sarah and Chuck retrieve Casey, and Chuck decides he has to go with them to rescue Bryce, despite all his talk about not being a hero. Papa Bartowski urges him not to go, but Chuck's got a reason - he loves Sarah! He can't let her go alone! So Orion hands over his computer sleeve thingy, and bingo, Chuck has a reason to be there.

The team gets to the Secret Intersect Location after the firefight, in which Bryce took out several goons and used his guard as a human shield to ward off bullets. Alas, human shields don't really provide much bullet-stopping power -- he's hit. While Sarah and Casey shoot it out with the bad guys, Chuck uses his Orion Sleeve to find a convenient air duct that gives him access to the Intersect room. Bryce tells him to destroy the machine, then dies. Chuck does what we all know he will -- he knows the good guys need the Intersect to fight the bad guys, so he takes the Intersect back into his head, and then destroys the machine.

Remember what Orion said about the Intersect being different? We find out what he means when the bad guys break in with Sarah and Casey in chains. They surround Chuck -- and he suddenly flashes on something, and turns into an ASS KICKING MACHINE. Sarah is shocked, and Casey is impressed. After he's knocked out all the bad guys, Chuck turns to Sarah and Casey. "Guys!" he says breathlessly. "I know kung fu!"

And that's it. Next season, if there is a next season, will presumably revolve around Chuck getting a handle on his new super-spy powers. Is that something you'd tune in for? Would you miss the Buy More -- and the Buy Morons? Did this episode live up to your expectations? Talk!

What Does the To Be Continued mean at the end. I think that is a good sign.

Wow, I love this show. I don't recall ever feeling such joy at a season finale as I did when the words "To Be Continued" appeared on the screen.

Best finale of any show in a long time. I am so excited about Chuck. It needs to be renewed. They can not leave it at that.

It's really hard to pick out just one favorite quote and one favorite moment... it was all Awesome... but I have to say this... Chuck isn't going bye bye and will return for a third season. I am not sure how I feel about Chuck's super spy powers but we've being saying that by now, Chuck needs to go to spy school or something and learn how to kick butt. Maybe he'll loose his adorableness now.. I don't know but I do know Chuck will return for a third season. The only problem is... what will they do with the Buy Morons.

This episode was just phenomenal, IMO. The season could not have ended in a better note.

If that was the last we see of the Buy Morons then they left in a blaze of glory. Although, the writers would probably find a way to use them if there is another season.

I find myself wanting more. I want to know how Chuck handles his new skills. The last line was very predictable but it was still great. Very well delivered by Zach Levi.

And, who knows, Bryce can still be alive.

YES !!!!!! Chuck Rocks and Rules it has to come back

I hope they bring the Buy More gang back. I like that they've had Chuck make a decision to stay a spy and give him some skills. I think he'll still be adorable since this is new and he'll suddenly start doing stuff he didnt know he could do.

The Kung Fu line and Oh Chuck me line were so funny. I really like the Casey and Chuck dynamic. Hopefully the show will be back and they will explore that friendship more.

They've got to keep at least some of the non-spy characters around next season - will they try to shoehorn Chuck into going back to work at the Buy More somehow?

The "convenient air duct" that Chuck used to break into the Intersect room was just like how Bryce broke into the Intersect room in the series premiere, complete with falling from the ceiling in a black suit.

Notice that they (conveniently) removed Bryce's body? Would it be too cliche to have him return again? The whole Chuck-Sarah-Bryce love triangle did seem to come to a close.

If Morgan moves to Hawaii, will he run into his old evil boss, Tang?

I would definitely watch Chuck with super-spy powers and hopefully they can have the buy morons in there somehow. It was an AWESOME finale. Loves Casey's look when Chuck was kicking butt. Also loved the To Be Continued at the end, gave me hope. So NBC better renew this show, if not they might as well close shop.

OH! CHUCK ME! Awesome line by Casey.
