'American Idol' Results Show -- Anoop and Lil's Rounds Are Up

Lilrounds Get ready to find out who is sent packing on this week's episode of "American Idol." I honestly think it should be Lil and Anoop, but as long as it's not Adam, Allison or Kris I'll be a happy girl. They really should be the Top 3. Follow along below to see who is eliminated this week!

Ryan wishes us a Happy Earth Day and reassures us that the finale uses green-friendly power. What do all the other weekly extravaganzas use, though? I like to think past Idols on stationary bikes. Can't you just picture Ace Young, Kristy Lee Cook and Bucky Covington pedaling furiously backstage?

The group sing this week is choreographed by our very own Paula Abdul.  Say what you will about Paula as a judge on the show, girlfriend can dance her face off. I was a HUGE Paula Abdul lover as a kid. I knew all the moves to "Cold Hearted Snake," even though I didn't know at the time how dirrrty it was. I mean, have you seen the video?

The group sing number is "Shake Your Body" by the Jackson 5. Everybody is completely 70s-d out and the choreography is fantastic. It makes it easier to handle how badly lip-synced the song is. Lil is rocking some white boots, Danny and Anoop look like *actual* pimps, Adam is John Travolta reincarnated and, speaking of shopping in the women's department, Matt and Kris may actually be wearing women's shirts. Allison is the only one who isn't dressed appropriately 70s. Maybe she had to dress 80s since, relative to her age, that's like the 70s for her. Overall, very cute dance number.

Ford Music Video time! It's set to "I'm Good, I'm Gone" and there are 3 guys as construction workers, Adam and Lil as dog washers, some other stuff and then they walk into a cafe looking for singers.  It went by so fast that I literally missed most of it. It's like I blinked and it was gone. I guess that's holding with the title of the song? Weird. Not as good as the magic show.

Our results now. Lil is first and she is... in the Bottom 3. No shocker there. Her heart didn't even seem in it. She said she had fun but having fun is for t-ball and not a competition like this. You should have fun, but the first priority should be to sing well. OH MY GOD. Suddenly, Lil is just eliminated. Whoa. Didn't see that coming. I mean, I did, but not at 8:15. Sheesh. So now is the reprise of "I'm Every Woman" and it almost seems like Lil is relieved to be done, ya know? Like she was tired of the judges beat-down lately.

We now have a "star"-studded Disco Medley. Freda Payne kicks us off with "Band of Gold," but I'll be honest, I would've rather heard Kimberly Locke and Frenchie Davis do it. Good ol' Freda has sparkly boobs jiggling all over the place and badly needs a slip under her dress. I think I can see her bajingo. Vocally, this is rough. Did they just find her walking down the street, put her in a two-sizes too small sparkly dress and shove her onstage? I mean, if she was wearing regular clothes and not the fancy dress, I would think this was someone's drunk grandma down at the American Legion doing karaoke. Oh my god in heaven.

Next up is Thelma Houston singing "Don't Leave Me This Way." She is wearing what appears to be a yellow slip with a train. I'm pretty sure I can see her bajingo too. And her boobs are about to spill out all over the stage. Is this Debra Wilson from Mad TV having a joke with all of us? At least Thelma's vocals are a little better than ol' Freda's.

Now we have KC (as in, "and the Sunshine Band," not "at the Bat"). Whoa, I didn't know KC was white. Seriously, I didn't. Learn something new every day. He's singing "Get Down Tonight" and has 4 of the In Living Color Fly Girls with him. At least that distracts from his chest hair and Liberace voice.

**Speaking of disco, the Visa Debit commercial with people singing "Super Freak" is on. I love that song, I wish someone had sung that last night.**

**I am kind-of into "Obsessed" because I think watching Beyonce and Ali Larter beat each other up sounds awesome.**

**I am also VERY into "Glee."**

More results now. Kris, Adam and Danny are all safe, which does not surprise me at all. Anoop is our next Bottom 3 member. Ryan then makes Allison and Matt sweat a little before sending Allison to the Bottom 3 with Anoop. OH MY GOD! NO! If Allison goes home and Anoop stays, I will be really upset. I even voted for her last night and I hardly EVER vote. Bah!

Lil' David Archuleta is back performing "Touch My Hand." That sounds just about right for a single by cutie David. Kid can sing, no doubt, but he looks like a 13 year-old cartoon character. I wanna give him a lifesaver and tuck him in after we read a chapter in whichever Harry Potter book we're on.

He's about to start a United Kingdom tour with the band "McFly." I sincerely hope they sing "Power of Love," "Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode." David gives some rainbows and puppies to Anoop and Allison over at the Stools of Doom and we go to commercial.

We're back with Anoop and Allison centerstage. I am actually nervous, y'all! Ryan tells us there was a record-breaking vote of 45 million plus last night. And then we find out that Anoop is going home. PHEW! Thank god. That was scary.

Anoop sings "Dim All the Lights" again and I have to ask why he didn't dress last night how he's dressed tonight? He looks better, he's way more relaxed and his vocals are better. He's certainly enjoying himself and that's nice to see. The last note is still off, it's right at the part of his voice where he switches from chest voice to falsetto, which is tough. Well, good-bye to Lil and Anoop.

Andrea, Your # 1 Fan is at his computer waiting for results with a side of sas.

You're making me blush, Jason. : ) Glad I can help you out on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Allison, Kris and Adam are definitely the only 3 people left that deserve the final 3 slots. It doesn't matter who goes now, just as long as it isn't them.

let's hope that lil fans weren't clinging on to her hoping that she would actually improve and do well. Its her swan song.

Hey Andrea,

Was last week the final week the judges were allowed to save somebody or could they have used it this week if they hadn't last week?

Thanks

Andrea...I read your recap every week, but this is my first time reading live! Exciting. I just wanted to tell you I enjoy your blogs a lot! Good job!

The judges could have used it this week if they hadn't used it last week. But I didn't really see them doing it at Top 6 because then the Top 5 would've been cut to Top 3 too early.

Thanks Steven! Thanks for reading.

That group dance was more painful than my current upper respiratory infection.

And that upper resp thing hurts real bad.

Jason, I have to give you props. I don't think E-Night recap would be the same without you there. :-)
