'The Celebrity Apprentice': No longer going Green

Tomgreen_thecelebrityapprentice_s2_240 Last week Donald Trump eliminated Scott Hamilton on "The Celebrity Apprentice." I'm still smarting from that move and have been hoping all week to see Tom Green go down in flames tonight. I'm of the opinion that everything Green's said from week one has been a joke, and I have been anxiously waiting the last laugh being on him.

For the task this week, each team was given 125 dresses, the team that made the most cash would win. I instantly sighed when I heard that, and I hope you did too -- it was a black book task, I hate black book tasks.

Brande Roderick was in charge of the women's team, and instantly sounded unimpressive. She explained that she was nervous about the task because she knew the men would get on the phone and call their contacts. I guess she didn't think that the women had the black books that the men did, or perhaps she forgot that her team could call famous people too. I have no idea. At least Melissa Rivers was able to call wedding planner extraordinaire Preston Bailey to organize their sale. There's nothing like calling in a pro to do your job for you.

Project manager Tom Green meanwhile was, it seems, in charge of contributing to the relaxed atmosphere of his group, which meant him putting on a wedding dress and acting like a fool. It was Rodman's job, with Herschel Walker in tow, to drum up business at local bars. I have no idea how that was supposed to help, except maybe by keeping Rodman out of the way.

In a bit of sheer genius, Rodman explained to the camera how he was like Patrick Swayze's character in "Ghost," particularly at the moment when Swayze went into Whoopi's body. I think he was going for him being a woman in a man's body and knowing about wedding dresses and got slightly confused (but I'm not sure). If you're a fan of "HIMYM" the woman thing made perfect sense because Dennis was ordering vodka cranberry everywhere, which Barney would tell you is every woman's drink.

At the end of a "hard" day Rodman and Green went to get a drink at the hotel with the Russian "model" that they were using for the show (there was some debate about her resume). If you've been paying attention you won't be surprised when I tell you that neither of them bothered to get into the car on time the next day.

When Green did finally show up he was somewhere between drunk and hung over. No, check that, he was both. Dennis must have been worse off because he was a complete no show for the sale. Later, in the board room, Tom Green made up some sad story about Dennis being allergic to cats before changing it to dogs. The lie was such a rookie error that there was no way Green wasn't saying it purely as a joke.

Thanks to Preston Bailey, the women's place looked nicer than the men's during the sale. But, unlike the cupcake task, there was no outside company to donate extra cash based on the way the teams organized their sale so the way the place looked didn't matter nearly as much as the size of the donations, and there the women won too. They were able to rake in 103,000 dollars while the men grabbed just over 63,000 bucks. The women only sold one more dress, so clearly volume wasn't the issue.

I've been rooting for the men this season, but I was thrilled to see them lose this task. I was hoping against hope that Trump would fire both Rodman and Green. Rodman might be the best known face on the men's team, but that shouldn't make him bulletproof.

Trump spent a long time exploring what exactly went on with Rodman's hangover, and neither Trump, nor George, nor Ivanka called Dennis on the simple truth. They all knew what was going on, but no one on that side of the table wanted to call him out on it. Oh, they complained about his not showing up, but they should have lambasted him for the specific reason.

In the end, without even allowing Green to nominate people, Trump got rid of the "project manager." I hope that The Donald regrets last week's decision, I'm not sure he shouldn't have fired both guys tonight but clearly Green should have gone last week.

My choose: Dennis Rodman - Because if we can't drink on the job he shouldn't be allowed to either

What are you talking about Josh L***er? If the team had listened to Tom last week they would have won! Were you actually watching the show? You have this major inexplicable hatred for Tom Green throughout your article that is borderline delusional. You suck Josh Lesser and you work for a boring website owned by a huge boring company. You're a pathetic little man and a huge joke!

What are you on about? Tom Green got that sorry *** men's team to raise $63,000. Do you honestly think that any of the other men on that team could have lead them to that performance?

Good review. IMHO Green should have fired Dennis during the task - one time in the apprentice maybe 1st season in the final task The D asked why someone didnt fire a disruptive team player - Green should just have said 'Dennis - your fired!'

Both should have been fired. Dennis did not do crap and Green did little to raise any money. If it were not for Herschel and Clint calling their contacts, they would have raised squat. The showroom looked like crap. Green was still drunk and looked like a deer in the headlights. Dennis was probably doing his detente with the Russian.

I believe that if you are going to fairly review a show and, you have such a strong bias against one person (tom green) before the show or episode even airs, it just proves how much of a unqualified ammature you are. Go call in to some talk radio show and whine if you want. leave actual journalism to competent, knowledgeable, mature individuals. This article is an embarr***ment to the spineless, brainless, hopeless, ****less, friendless, low life, inbred, ignorant, sack of **** author. you are an absolute waste who has and never will amount to anything worthwhile. just quit life you absolute loser.

I had really liked Tom until this task. His approach was to do nothing, and his fervent defense of the utterly useless Rodman earned him the boot. Honestly, it was more important to him to party with Rodman than to win the task - something he'd pretty much staked his (Apprentice) reputation on? Just want to smack the man.

As for Rodman, I've never understood this creature's ostensible appeal, and I still don't. Lazy, sexist, useless, and patently insecure in his sexuality (which he masks by constantly ***uring you that he is). Yuck, what a loser!

I'd really hoped to see Tom and Jesse there 'til the end. Drat.

Oh, and who paid for all the women's decor? Sure, Melissa's pal helped decorate, but I'm sure he didn't kick in thousands of dollars worth of flowers. If the men had this type of working capital, why in heaven's name didn't they use it - if not to decorate, then to advertise? Ergh.

Wow, some people who commented here have anger issues. Let just comments on the show and not start calling names and stuff. Anyway, last week Tom Green was right when he said the name suck. EEE sounded rediculous, no heroes or mascots stand a chance with that name. This week, however, Tom didn't do squat as PM and did deserve to get fired. He didn't raise any money, got drunk overnight amd came in late with a hung over. The reason they raised sixtysomething thousand was mostly because of Clint Black. Don't get me started on Dennis, he was busy dunking the Russian "model".

Three weeks, three losses, and again, the RIGHT person was fired.

Tom was very good week 1, pretty good week 2 (at least he fought that stupid EEE name), and bad this week. He was the right one to go home. He had his chance and he failed. He should have controlled Dennis and shown up for work like the rest of the men. It was interesting that The Donald didn't even ask him to bring two people back, that he just fired him on the spot. It shows you it was a foregone conclusion. Yes, Dennis probably should have been fired too, but The Donald seems to think there is more to him than that. Also, in the previews, we know that Dennis makes it to the episode where everyone dresses up in uniforms and cleans hotel rooms or something. I don't know if that is next week or not, though.

Melissa was very smart in using Preston Bailey. I was just surprised that they didn't have more women in their store. I guess Brian did such a good job of buttering their women's egos that it worked. Nice to see Brian step it up this week and Clint wasn't a snake this week either.

I still see Jesse going to the finals for the men's side.
