NickTonight on CSI, we go to the motel, we go to the mo "I won't tell if you won't" tel. Nick treats us to four mysteries at the same locale and they all revolve around Taylor Swift.

Nick investigates two dead bodies in a motel room. Nick notices the 15 year-old daughter of the motel owners during his investigation (Taylor Swift, OMGsqueal!). He spies her riding bikes with a blonde girl.

In the course of investigating a possible rape charge, Nick questions the blonde girl who was riding bikes with Haley. Her name is Bree and she says she was at a bonfire that night, things got fuzzy, and then she woke up in Haley's living room with her pants off and Mr. Jones standing over her. Bree also reveals that Haley has totally Single White Femaled her, copying her hair style and color.

Mr. Jones says he was just running out to the living room because he heard something, he wasn't getting freaky-deaky with Bree. He is taken down to the station anyway. Mrs. Jones also says that she headed to the bonfire to take pictures, to show Haley that she wasn't missing anything.

In the pictures, there is a creepy boy named Zach at the bonfire. They accuse him of stalking Bree, but Zach says he was stalking Haley Jones and since Haley is always with Bree, it seems like he's stalking Bree. Also on the camera are many photos of Bree. Mrs. Jones says she lost a daughter named Melissa, who died as an infant. Mrs. Jones has decided that Bree looks just like what Melissa would've looked like, so she went to the bonfire to pretend that Bree is Melissa. Wow. Single White Femaled by the mom, too?

Bree's tox screen is positive for GHB but there is no evidence of penetration. Just some pubic evidence, plus traces of what you use to condition a baseball glove. They bring in a baseball player, Dave Hinkle, who had GHB in his truck. He claims Bree is his girlfriend. Yeah, if you have to drug her... she's totally your girlfriend. Bree escaped from his truck, though, and headed for the motel.

At the motel, Nick tries to talk to Haley and she shows him online smack talk from her schoolmates about how psycho she is. She claims her life is over. It causes another flashback for Nick, to 117 days ago.

Nick shows up in the rain and gives wet teenage Haley the once over. The dead body this time is a blonde hotel guest who is fresh out of prison, Tonya Carrow. She most likely OD'd on drugs but there are signs of a possible struggle. The randy next-door motel guests have video of themselves gettin' freaky, but there is audio of the room next door. There are two voices, both female.

Her father shows up with a vigil, which includes a picture of Tonya as a teen, holding a baby. She looks suspiciously like how Haley looks in present day. Lo and behold, Haley takes the picture. Incidentally, she is also making out with Zach the Stalker when the father arrives.

Present
Haley's dead body is found in the motel's parking lot. She was stabbed in the chest and the suspect is Zach the Stalker. The picture of the dead girl from the motel room is found in her pocket.

In holding, Zach confesses about Haley's "vision of her destiny" and how she was going to embrace that destiny this very day. His alibi is that he was dealing crystal meth in Reno. Haley was the Elf to his Drug Santa Claus, but she wasn't going to do it anymore because of her destiny.

It turns out Tonya gave birth in prison on the same day Haley was born. It also turns out Tonya was babysitting on the day baby Melissa died. Tonya left Melissa in the bathtub and she drowned. She went to juvie and when she found out she was pregnant, she wanted to make amends and she gave them Haley.

When Tonya showed up 16 years later wanting to see Haley, Mrs. Jones fought with Tonya and told her she would never see Haley. They think Tonya killed herself, but a local bum saw Mrs. Jones toss coffee cups out of room 8 that smelled like meth.

Ray finds a bloody shirt under the mattress in the Jones' room. Mrs. Jones says she saw Haley's hair dyed like Tonya's and she charged at her with some scissors. When Haley charges back, she stabbed her accidentally in the gut, then let her bleed out on the pavement without dialing 911. Nice. Nick tells Mrs. Jones that they know she killed Tonya and then she killed Haley. Mrs. Jones confesses that she never wanted Haley. She always wanted Melissa back.

Nick seems to take this especially hard. He thinks he could've figured out what was going on with Tonya's murder before Haley was killed. Ray sympathizes about blaming yourself and tells Nick he's so sorry. It falls a little flat, as a last scene. Ray Langston is no Gil Grissom, I tells ya what.

really great episode. swift's performance was nothing special, but not bad and didn't take away from the case at all. i didn't love langston's random tidbit about reading negative comments about movies he likes, but george ead's performance was solid throughout the entire episode. it was a thrilling and unpredictable case and the whole episode did a great job of showing just how personally invested CSIs and cops can get. one of my all times favorites, i think.

I just ignored Taylor Swift's contribution to this episode. Nick centered episodes are always some of my favorites. I loved that when was at the crime scene with Greg it was his birthday and he got a phone call from Grissom. David contributing some money for Warrick's son's education was so sweet. In that last scene with Langston and Nick in the locker room I was paying more attention to Nick being so upset and crying than Ray's speech. I loved that we finally got a break from Langston and got the whole episode revolving around Nick with callbacks to Warrick and Grissom.

George Eads performance was amazing. I love Nick centered stories. Nick will always take things personally and I love that about him. The last scene where he finally broke down was amazing. The callbacks to Grissom and Warrick with the birthday phone call and David mentioning the pool to collect money for Warrick's son were perfect. The minimal Langston contribution was great and I wish all episodes could be like that.

Taylor Swift did amazing, I wasn't expecting much. She looked so pretty. Nick was wonderful.

Very good episode. The writers did well connecting all these short stories from the past year.

Wish there was more Catherine involvement though. Her character seems to be taking a secondary role this year.

The recap was missing something, at least the way it came to me. You started with the case 365 days ago, then jump to the birthday bonfire section, which was around 230 days ago. I liked the first mystery the best, with the dead man in the room and the dead man, a rotting corpse, in the crawl space above. Kind of gross but an interesting mystery. I really liked the story, thought George Eads was great. I liked it that he had feelings for the people involved, though he shouldn't blame himself. The one I really feel sorry for was Mr. Jones, the husband.

Wonderful performance by George Eads. Thank you a million times for featuring Eads.

Great debut performance by Taylor Swift, I loved it!

All right, I said I wasn't watching the show anymore, but I had to see how Taylor Swift would do (damn AI...just when I think I'm gone, it keeps pulling me back in). She's no Jodie Foster or Katherine Hepburn, but she did a fair job. I'll give her credit for playing an open-eyed corpse pretty well. I don't know how they don't blink.

George Eads needs to get more screen time. He really is the best one of the remaining bunch, even better than Marg Helgenberger, who tends to be a one-or-two-note actress. I still miss Warrick, but at least there's one guy on the show who is still fun to watch (unlike Mr. Fisburne, who is dry, and the other lab rats, who are mostly geeky).

I will never open my mouth wide in an old hotel room again. Blech!
