'The Bachelor': Where the sun don't shine... Seattle, Washington!

Jillian_thebachelor_s13_240 Previously on The Bachelor... all the crazies were lopped off in one fell swoop and I did a little happy dance all around my bedroom. We're down to Molly, Jillian, Stephanie, Naomi, and Melissa. I don't dislike any of them, which is rare. Let's see who goes home tonight...

The girls are told to pack their bags because it's SEATTLE time. Woot woot. Jason gets to Seattle ahead of the girls and goes to see Ty, and it's very sweet. He takes them to their hotel suite, which is gorgeous. Naomi says, "I would absolutely move here in a heartbeat." Uh, you do know you don't get to live in the hotel suite, right? Melissa finds out she gets the first date in Seattle and Naomi shoots her some pretty big daggers. Maybe Naomi has taken over for Psycho Shannon...

Melissa gets all gussied up for the date but back at Jason's house Ty is upset about his daddy leaving. Jason calls and asks her if she'd come over and hang out with them instead of have a night on the town. Melissa rolls with it, asking if she can put on her stretchy pants. Naomi goes, "So is she meeting Ty?" You can tell Naomi, Molly, and Jillian are particularly jealous.

Melissa gets to Jason's house and picks up a little while she waits for Jason to come downstairs, also helping herself to some wine. When he comes downstairs, they change into casual clothes and then she gets to go peek in on Ty, but not actually meet him. He asks who he would meet if he came to Dallas with Melissa. She tells him about her immediate family, then they make out.

Back at the Hotel Suite of Envy and Cattiness, the girls are bitching about Melissa's date. Stephanie is staying out of it for the most part, which I chalk up to her maturity and also the fact that she's a mom herself. The other girls are all "me me me," but Stephanie isn't, which is nice to see.

The next day, the date card arrives and Stephanie, Jillian and Molly are going on the group date, so Naomi got her one-on-one date like she wanted. She talking-heads about how happy she is and I finally figure out what bugs me about Naomi: She's all one color. From her hair to her skin to her eyes, she's monochromatic. It looks funny to me.

Group Date. The girls go on a boat ride with Jason, then get one-on-one time. Stephanie is first and ... oh my god, she is wearing a fur-lined white vest. It's like she skinned a rabbit to make a coat but ran out of pelt before she could make sleeves. They talk about their children and whatnot. You know, I could see Steph and Jason being friends and having playdates, but I can't see them as anything romantic.

After the boat, Jason takes the three girls to a radio station for an interview. They put the three girls in a soundproof room while Jason does his interview. The other two ladies listen from the hotel suite. When asked about the most fun date so far, he says the most amazing date was when he surprised Stephanie with her daughter. He then is asked about the best kisser and he says Molly. I wonder if he's thinking about just the three girls at the station or if it includes the two at home? The two girls at home wonder the same thing as I do.

The hosts then blindfold Jason to see if he can figure out who is who when they kiss him. Jillian goes first, then Stephanie, then Molly. He guesses correctly, reminding us in a talking-head that the girls "are all different." No kidding, buddy. Thanks.

When asked what their thing in the bedroom is, Molly says lingerie, Jillian says fun/playful, and Stephanie says her man should be completely taken care of. Her southern twang voice talking about kissing a man all over comes across as a Sex-Talk Radio Host and it's AWESOME. I heart Stephanie.

They go out to dinner and Jason takes Jillian off for one-on-one time. He's wondering how she's doing because he's noticed that there's something off about her in Seattle. She confides that the remaining girls are amazing and she's starting to get nervous and scared. He asks her if her expectations of passion and whatnot are entirely realistic. She says she's not expecting anything, she's just hopeful for things.

Jason takes his one-on-one time with Molly next. She tells him that she's close with her family but that she's gotten used to living far away from them. They smooch.

The next day, Naomi and Jason go on their one-on-one date. They fly in a prop plane around Seattle, then go rock climbing. Naomi is a beast on the rock climbing wall. She seems to be having such a good time, which is great. I just don't see it with her, though. I think Naomi or Stephanie should be the one sent home tonight. On a picnic, they talk about her family and how her mom left in a very mid-life-crisis way, but they have finally repaired their relationship. That's nice and all but Naomi kind of ruins it by saying, "Tonight I climbed a wall ... and walls came down." I snort derisively.

Back at the Hotel Suite of Beer and Bubble Baths, the girls talk about their flaws and why they might be sent home. Melissa and Jillian are drinking beer in the bathtub, which is awesome. I'd party with those ladies.

The next day, Jason comes to see Jillian before the rose ceremony. He takes her to a cafe and wants to know that she has serious feelings for him the way he has for her. He wants to talk to her about being strong for the other girls and whatnot and making time for herself. It's kind of snooze-worthy.

There's some filler with Chris and Jason chatting about the ladies without really saying anything because they can't spoil it before the MOST EMOTIONAL ROSE CEREMONY EVER!!!! There are lots of flashbacks to stuff we JUST saw like 10 minutes ago. Get on with it, show!

We finally get to the Rose Ceremony. Jason takes Naomi off to chat with her some more and the other four women huddle up and pick-a-little, talk-a-little, cheep cheep cheep talk-a-lot, pick-a-little-more.

In the one-on-one, he asks Naomi if she's really ready for the type of life he leads. She insists that she wants that life. I guess that reassures Jason because he takes her back to the group. The ceremony finally starts. First rose is for... Jillian! Woot woot! The second rose is for Melissa. If the next one is for Molly, I'm 3-3 tonight. The next rose is given to... Molly. I knew it. It's down to Stephanie and Naomi. That makes sense.

Jason gives the final rose to Naomi and I'm disappointed. He finally kicked the old woman to the curb. I don't really think they have much of a romantic connection anyway, though, so that's fine. Jason gets all choked up as he says that Stephanie is the most amazing person he's ever met and that they are all better people because of meeting her. He calls her beautiful outside and in and all the other girls start to cry. It's very sweet. I don't get the impression that Stephanie will get into her limo and start dropping F-bombs like some of these other hoochies have done. She's a classy broad.

Their final chat is very cordial and friendly and mature. She could tell the spark in his eyes just wasn't there for her and he says that she deserves someone who has that spark for her. Awww. I want these two to be friends and have playdates for their kids! He even says he wants her around as a friend. That's so great. What a warm, fuzzy ending on tonight's Bachelor.

Next week: HOMETOWN VISITS! YAY! So much drama.

Jason made the biggest mistake in his life giving up a great woman like stephanie, all he wanted was young sex chicks none to be a good mom to his son.... i know he will find out again about his bad chose....hmmm

He was never physically attracted to Stephanie. Their barely romantic scenes looked uncomfortable. Her exit however was very graceful. I loved that she dissed Naomi during the show, but still managed to be cl***y. You know Jason wanted to let Naomi go, but this is The Bachelor! A kissing bandit like him just can't escape the skanks. Can't wait till one of the drunken family members starts grilling him about his ex next week. Should be fun!

Your are right recap person!
Naomi is an all new race of monochromes. By the way, some of my best friends are mono's.

This whole show takes place over like two weeks and one of the girls has already spent the night with him. You say there was no romantic connection with Stephanie, but she was just respecting herself. I think that he made the biggest mistake by getting rid of her. She was my favorite. Keeping Naomi was a **** move.

Sarah, I don't equate hooking up with him to romantic connection. I think Stephanie was very respectful and conducted herself in a fantastic manner. I just didn't see a spark with them. I think they could be excellent friends.

I don't love Naomi either. I'm rooting for Melissa, Molly or Jillian.

Naomi is a goner. Jason and Jillian don't have much chemistry. It'll be Molly vs Mellisa, and the winner is obvious (perky girl who wants to be a teacher vs "best kisser"). See you at the Women Tell All Special Stephanie!

Melissa went on and on about how she liked "little things". You can tell by his itty bitty thumbs that Jason has a little thing. Melissa is his choice.

Andrea - I heart your recaps! =)

Skinned rabbit? I was so right there with you... Even tried to see if it was faux or not.

Naming the hotel suite... Very nice.

Derisive snorts... Bring 'em on!

But you had me at hello... er, I mean pick-a-little, talk-a-little.

Fantab recap!

I gotta say, after watching this season of the Bachelor, my perception of appropriate kissing moments and timing is completely off. I mean, anytime there's a lull in the conversations around me, I am fully expecting people to be making out left and right. They're not. It's messing with my head.

Stephanie: Definitely the cl***iest Bachelor exit ever. She is so freakin sweet, I hope she finds her man. I wonder if ABC is thinking the same thing??

Finally, I appreciate the producers making for the pretty scenery and all, but if that's Jason's house, I'll have to eat my hat. (Could they have nudged us any further in the "Sleepless in Seattle" direction?)

quisquilian: your comment about making out made me crack up laughing. Thank you for that. (and how true!)

I was a little sad to see Stephanie go home, but she really was the epitome of cl*** when she left. I hope she finds an amazing man for her and Sophia...she really deserves it.

I want Naomi to go home though. Something about her gets on my nerves a little, and I can't place it. Maybe it is that she's very monochromatic, like you suggested.

Something about Jillian last night made me like her a little bit less. She does seem like she's only in for an adventure.

I giggled a little at Jason's talking head moment when he was talking about Melissa's stretchy pants. (Once he found out they weren't pants at all, and actually rather short shorts).

I really wanted Jason to tell Melissa thank you for cleaning up the pizza! Where are your manners Jason?!

(Then again, I don't know if I would have helped myself to some wine if I was Melissa...)

Loved last night show but was sad to see Steph go.I think she would make a great bachelorette.
