'The Hills': Nana doesn't die twice.
Last time on The Hills... Spencer hadn't forgiven Stephanie for being friends with Lauren and Audrina went completely off the rails and accused Lauren and Justin of hooking up. Can Lauren still trust Audrina?
Lo and Lauren dish about Audrina. Lo can't believe soembody who is supposedly Lauren's "best friend" would question her like that. Lauren says that for her to actually forgive Audrina, Aud would have to actually be sorry for her accusations.
Epic Records. Audrina and Chiara chat about Lauren. Audrina says that Lauren screamed at her and wouldn't let Audrina get a word in edgewise. Aud also says she met Justin and he didn't want to talk to her because of her nasty, crazy voicemails. She at least realizes her trip to Crazy Town probably cost her her friendship with Lauren.
Steph's House. Spencer comes by (this oughta be good) and tells her she has decorated the apartment like it's a bathroom. Whatever that means. He invites Steph to come with him and Heidi to visit Nana in Huntington Beach. He guilts her about not checking in with Nana, which is rich, and leaves.
Lauren and Lo's house. Brody and Lauren chat about her "banging" Justin. She says that rumor is "disgusting and embarrassing." Yes! It is! Brody tells Lauren that she needs to just leaves Audrina out of her life because of the constant drama and whatnot.
Audrina's house. Casey is back (YAY!) and agrees that Justin likes seeing Audrina hurt. Audrina understands why Lauren is upset and Casey tells her that she should probably apologize to Lauren. Aud says she's nervous to talk to Lauren and that the whole situation sucks.
Nana's House. Heidi, Spencer and Stephanie go to visit Nana. Spencer is a gross, sniveling sycophant right from the get-go and I throw up in my mouth a little bit. He's a total ass to Steph, drawing attention to how little she sees Nana. God, I hate him. He even says that Stephanie doesn't understand family and loyalty and tells Nana that she's friends with the enemy now. Nana waxes poetic about a "protective brother," which is SO GROSS. And it's not Nana's fault. She doesn't realize that Spencer is a jackass. Nana makes a date to have lunch with Steph.
People's Revolution. Whitney tells Lauren that she's still in touch with Jay the Aussie from NYC. I have to say, I"m pumped about Whitney's spin-off. Lauren tells Whitney that she and Audrina are meeting the next night to try to work it out. Lauren is skeptical but Whitney says maybe Audrina just needs someone to talk to.
The next day Nana and Steph walk along the beach. Nana wishes they had more time alone together. Steph says she never knows when Nana is even in town because she just hangs out with Spencer and Heidi. Steph confides about Spencer's evil side (he has a good side?) and Nana seems to understand. He is still Nana's favorite though, because he's such a kiss-ass gross nancy-boy. Nana advises Steph to wait until he's grown-up and maybe they'll be friends then.
Bond Street. Audrina and Lauren meet up. Audrina makes a terrible apology and Lauren is understandably still mad. She can't believe that Audrina would believe that crap rumor. Lauren says that friendship and trust are everything and she can't believe that Audrina doesn't trust her. She can't believe that Audrina would continually go back to Justin and trust him but that one little thing happens and she suddenly doesn't trust Lauren. Audrina confesses that she would probably be happier if Justin was not in her life. She feels lost and starts to cry and says she doesn't trust anyone. Lauren asks Audrina to trust her. They leave together and make plans to meet up in the near future.

Andrea - kudos for the review. short, sweet and concise. plus the way you rag on Spencer is deliciously pointed. I the prose :)
your recap ended very abruptly, no? maybe you don't really like re-capping this show?
anyhoo...justin is just so hard on audrina. i mean when she does something she doesn't like, he just turns completely off her. i mean sometimes, you give the person you like/love a break (that is, if you really love/like them). sometimes it's okay to just say "it's okay."
p.s. i also appreciated that your recap wasn't too long!
I think that Aud was very wrong for accusing one of her bestfriends of hooking up with her disgusting boyfriend Justin. I understand where Lauren is coming from because I am in the same situation as i type!
You go, kay kay.
Glad to see this one (sorta) resolved the issues that clearly stand between Lauren and Audrina. I think that Lauren values friendships far more than Audrina does. I don't think Aud knows what friendship is. If she did, I doubt she'd accept the lack of friendship she has in her romance with Justin.
If you don't like (really like) the person you're sleeping with, and if they don't really like you, then you're selling yourself too cheaply. Maybe Lauren can teach Audrina the value of friendship. Maybe not. But that girl needs to start valuing herself.
I don't like Brody. I never have. I think lauren let him get off waaay to easily after the Jen Bunny incident and he always sounds just like Spencer when he attempts to communicate. They have the same vocal inflections, phrases, accent and ****y way of speaking to others.
Hint: I think Lauren should start expecting as much from her male friends as she seems to expect from her female friends.
Brody's said before that he doesn't like to give people advice about their lives and yet he had absolutely no problem shooting off his mouth about Audrina and how Lauren should handle her in this one. And this isn't the first time he's told Lauren to kick someone to the curb, either. I don't think it's coincidental that this, too, is pretty much all the advice Spencer seems capable of giving the people around him. They're both seriously lacking in the empathy and logic departments.
They also both need to learn how to be loving instead of combative. It's so sad seeing them act this way around the women on this show, especially since these women seem to take them seriously!
I too am looking forward to Whitney's spin-off, but mainly because I want to see her working in the fashion industry in NY. It's a fascinating industry and I think it will be cool to see Whitney navigate her way through it.
However, I'm still not cool with how she got together with The Boy from Oz, so I couldn't care less how that relationship progresses. I have a feeling Whitney might discover how much of a ***** karma can be.
She seemed reticent to say much about that relationship when Lauren asked her about it. Hm. Perhaps she's been informed not to give too much away when she's being filmed by Hill's cameras? Or. Maybe. She actually has a conscious, and she's starting to regret how unnecessarily cruelly she treated one guy to get together with another?
Yeah. Stick with that feeling, Whit.
