Corkyballas_dancingwiththestars_240 Tonight's results offers little surprise to anyone who saw last night's Dancing with the Stars. But there were extra performances and kid dancers to at least distract us while we waited for the inevitable.

Spoilers

The show kicks off, as always, with the recap of last night. The encore was of course the group number. It was simultaneously better and worse than it was last night.

Post leader board breakdown, Lance Bass & Lacey are the first to learn they are safe. Joining them is Cody Linley who is Julianne-less and flying solo tonight. Before going to commercial, Tom Bergeron hypes all the things coming up next and, while intro-ing Michael Flatley's "Celtic Tiger" performance, the camera cuts to him as Carrie Ann and Bruno do presentational jazz hands on either side of him. Nice.

After the commercial, we get our kid dancers. Craig & Samantha (13 & 11) are a brother/sister team who's little sister danced last season. They do a Cha Cha to Jennifer Lopez' "Play" - I like them. They have good technique and Samantha works it in an age appropriate manner. Lucy & Simon (both 13) are next. They've been dancing for a year and a half together and perform a Samba to "Steal My Sunshine" by Len. Lucy's ballet background serves her very well, she has great control and extension. And Simon is great partner.

Post break, and a less painful interview with Samantha Harris than usual, Samantha & Craig move on with the first unanimous decision in the kids' division this season.

Next up is the Pussycat Dolls performing their new Missy Elliot produced single, complete with Missy on hand to do her rap. I find them entertaining, especially since they always dress like extremely not shy superheroes. Warren Sapp & Kym are saved before the break.

After the commercial, we get Michael Flatley's 40's gangster themed number. It starts off with a red screen and his dancing silhouette and moves to a smoking platform in the middle of the floor under a single spotlight. And then it catches fire! And at the end he jumps off and pyrotechnics shoot into the air from the platform. Yay pyrotechnics!

Um...okay. So our time-killing package involves a military officer, a sports psychologist and Misty May-Treanor's coach talking about the mental aspect of competing and evaluating each remaining celebrity.

Of our remaining celebs, Brooke Burke & Derek and Maurice Greene & Cheryl are safe leaving Cloris Leachman & Corky and Susan Lucci & Tony, who are not necessarily in the bottom two but still in danger. No surprise there.

Clorisleachman_dancingwiththestars_ After our last break of the night, it's revealed that Cloris' time has come. Cloris approaches the judges and says her farewell. She and Carrie Ann share a moment of genuine affection. Also, she vows to show up next week in a pretty costume. Corky didn't get to talk. Their last dance and cast hugs are done to "Save the Last Dance For Me."

So, the inevitable has happened. Cloris has said her adieu. Rejoice or boo as you see fit. Any other thoughts from the night? Did you dig Michael Flatley's performance?

I'm so sick of the pedo kid stuff.

Wish La Lucci had gotten the boot considering how inept she was last night and how, overall, dreadful she's been during the season. At least Cloris is entertaining. Something La Lucci hasn't been yet.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Now we don't have to watch Cloris and her insanity. I'm thrilled.

Didn't watch the show. The results shows are too boring for me. Too much filler.

Cloris has never been entertaining for me. She's rude, crude, and an embar***ment to herself.

YEAH! But I was surpsied how awful Susan was in the group "hip Hop" dance..she was lost and was off the steps and was visibly uncomoftabrl and kept looking around to see that step was next..that was not good.

Susan Lucci is down-right-scary. At least Cloris offers comic relief! Would have preferred a Lucci adieu.

I am so glad Cloris finally got the boot. Come on Toni Braxton to leave and slow motion Cloris still on, I almost quit watching for good. I lvoe Cheryl & julieann

i think i heard a collective cheer ring out through all the land....

Crystal Diane Stevens wrote this on the last show's board:

"..MAURICE AND MOPHEAD NEED TO LEAVE. SPEAKING OF MOPHEAD, IS SHE PREGNANT? SHE LOOKS IT THOUGH I WAS FIGURED SHE'S THE KIND OF WOMAN WHO WOULD BE FIRST IN LINE TO HAVE AN ABORTION. WARREN AND KIM NEED TO LEAVE TOO. BOTH GUYS CAN'T DANCE FOR ****..."

to which i replied:

"note to Crystal--you crossed the line in your comment with your abortion remark."

to which Crystal replied:

"*****, please. Why is it that those women who are so quick to kill their babies are the first to get their panties in a bunch when the subject gets brought up? If you can kill a baby, prepare to face the consequences. ****."

are Crystal's ugly comments the type we want to see on this board? i say no, feel free to let her know what u think about her comments.

Past due for Cloris to go, so yay on that front. Saw her on Kimmel (yikes!), and I gotta say Corky deserves some kind of medal for putting up with her and trying to keep her on task for all these weeks.

Susan Lucci needs to step up to the chopping block next. Seriously, the judges were raving her dance this week and while I suppose it was bett-ER than she has been dancing, it was a week 3 dance at best. She and Hip-Hop were kind of a disaster. A little painful and funny to watch, but still a disaster.

Anyone else miss the audience interview montage segments? Those were fun! I liked hearing what real people who were in the ballroom thought of the performances. In terms of filler, they were better than some of these highly produced packages about things like the "mental strain" (cue dramatic music) of the competition. =)

Samantha's bling could bail out Iceland.

Michael Flatley in preview: "I hope nobody gets hurt, especially me". I love me some me!

Poor Susan had to do hip-hop again. Have some mercy! On her AND us. Imagine Greta Garbo doing hip hop (I'm not talking about the same level of acting here, just trying to make a point) - would we still revere her, as we do? Some people are just not cut out for it. But I guess if you sign up for this gig, you should expect to lose some dignity in the process.

At least Cloris is funny in this number. I already miss her . Without her it will just be another boring dance competition.

I can't get over the fact that without AT&T I'd have zero bars in Brussels. It just kills me.

Carrie-Ann stop doing whoo-hoo already. Don't quit it, just do it less often.

Kids: East Coast-West Coast 3:0

Loved the outfits on *****cat Dolls.

Cody will have his Mrs. Robinson moment next week. Cute.

Cloris shouldn't have quit making out with Corky.

I agree. This always has been a fun and friendly board. Someone should flag these comments and send Crystal to a shrink.
