Sam Beware, evildoers. Beauty & the Geek ventures into unchartered territory, not for the faint of heart or mundanely attired. We present Comic-Con.

Spoilers lurking in the depths below.

When last we left our fair competitors, gender-bending dynamic duo Sam & Nicole proved their prowess in the Room of Questioning Doom. Their mettle thus exhibited once again, none of their rivals could muster any enthusiasm for these formidable foes upon their prodigal return to their humble quarters.

On the opposite end of the mind-fighting spectrum are Dave and Jasmine, who were called out for their lack of social progress, and William and Jen, whose teamwork appears to use the diabolical strategy of working against each other. As the mild-mannered one, William demonstrates a foolish valor when taking on his puissant partner Jen. I mean, did you check out the guns on that chick?

Ubiquitous host Mike informed the combatants of their most intimidating challenge to date: creating a superhero persona for the beauty with costuming by the geek. The geeks, especially comic book collector and aficionado William, were thrilled to learn that they would present their characters at superhero Mecca, Comic-Con.

Jasmine_beautyandthegeek_s4_240 And while William couldn't support Jen's concept of a hypnotic-boob-wielding hero ("It's way outside the realm of believability"), Dave championed Jasmine's brainstorm and imparted performance pointers from his vast larping experience.

The Pantheon of Heroes:

- Steam - alter ego Shay, sidekick Josh; Steam looked fairly put together in her blue vinyl top, red boy shorts and yellow gloves. Too bad her superhero spiel made her tongue-tied.
- Aqualita Splash - alter ego Erin, sidekick Jesse; In a bikini top, Aqualita offered a beachy and breezy solution to crime with her surfboard shield and topscale dolphins -- dolphins that can construct things with telekinetic powers and speak English telepathically.
- Venus - alter ego Jen, sidekick Stupid William; After drawing in alien foes with her dynamically deadpan personality and long legs, her hypnotic boobs will stope them in their tracks, thus preventing the procreation of more aliens.
- Vinity - alter ego Natalie, sidekick John; a villainess who uses her vine-structured body to bend and kill humans.
- Metro-Man - alter ego Sam, sidekick Nicole; This world-famous underwear model was at a party when he stumbled upon George Hamilton's secret weapon, a radioactive self-tanner spray. With his new powers and heavy eyeliner, Metro-Man uses his breakdance fight moves to shoot laser beams and deflect bullets.
- Princess Bed-Head - alter ego Jasmine, sidekick Dave; Using the powers of the moon and stars, this hero with a pet sloth can put people to sleep for years, muddle their dreams and nightmares and suck energy from them using her contagious yawn.

Erin_beautyandthegeek_s4_240 In the end, Metro-Man and Nicole proved unstoppable once again and chose allied teams Erin/Jesse and Natalie/John to face each other in mental combat. And despite clutching cuddly stuffed animals of power, Erin faltered once, leaving the door open for John to snatch victory from her well-manicured grasp.

Other highlights:

- William whining about Jen's "Worst. Comic. Book. Idea. Ever." and vowing to make her costume make her "look as fat as possible."
- Shay about Comic-Con, "The freaks were there, some weird people and a bunch of dorks."
- A judge about Jasmine's superhero story: "It's full of sleep, which is always exciting."
- Jasmine about Sam and Nicole, "It's like they're a super team."
- Jen getting all worked up about wanting to slap William.

What did you think about the hero concepts? Are Jen and William the next to go?

I'm afraid poor William should just be euthanized. It would be for the best all around.

Erin, Amanda and Hollie gone?!? Natalie is the only real beauty left!!!

I hate to say it, but I'm convinced the show is fixed.

Nicole and Sam won again even though John and Natalie's character was much better and thought out, as were some others, which while not being presented properly at least had some creative ideas behind them. Sam basically came on stage and primped and preened. ("I breakdance fight! Lasers and bullets bounce off my body.") And for the comic book panel to say that MetroMan was the only character who would be capable of carrying a series? Sorry, I think I would take Vinity over him. Heck, I'd even settle for Princess Bedhead which at least showed a spark of creativity.

And then for Sam and Nicole to place two teams who liked each other against themselves in elimination? Could they have possibly been told to do so in order to create drama? And speaking of teams, did we see any decision-making between Same and Nicole BEFORE the choices? It seemed like Sam was the one doing all of the planning.

The best scenes of the night were also the worst... the interaction between William and Jen. Jen's idea might have been out-there ("I hypnotize people with my boob" was a laugh) but William needed to lighten up a little.

I'll continue to watch again (especially since the new hotter John is still around) but something smells rotten in the Beauty and the Geek mansion.

Definitely rigged. Metro-Man was a horrible idea.

I was really confused when the comic guys said Metro-Man had the most substance and could sustain a series...really???

I thought Princess Bed Head was a good idea. It was really well thought out. The most creative and imaginative.

Natalie didn't win because her character is too similar to Poison Ivy. Metro Man was a legitimate winner. George Hamilton's radioactive tanner spray? C'mon, that's genius!

Too bad William blew off Jen's idea...it had some real possibility..hypnotize people using her breasts...the right costume would have made it an easy win given her goods!

METRO MAN? BEST HERO EVER!

I use to like this show until this year I wish that they would really get rid of Sam & Nicoke they look goofy together they are the reason I'm not watching ever again, and I hope the CW goes bankrupt after the 2007 TV Strike. HAAHHA!!!

Of course the show is fixed. Sam is an actor who had a recurring role in Grace under Fire, and had roles in Desperate Housewives, Veronica Mars, 8 Simple Rules and more. He is just playing a role on Beauty and the Geek like any other role he plays.
