Thousands of Gossip Girl fans sat in shock and awe Monday night after what proved to be the most intense episode yet.

Don't read on if you're waiting to see the drama for yourself!  The episode will air again on the CW at 6 p.m. on Sunday.  Don't miss it again!!!

So Monday night's episode concluded with a startling admission from the bad-girl-gone-good Serena van der Woodsen.  Confiding in BFF Blair Waldorf, she admitted,

"I killed someone."

And you can imagine, everyone is freaking out.  Our dear, lovable Serena?!  NO WAY, right?

But Gossip Girl fans are a smart bunch, and you guys had some awesome ideas about what might have really happened on the fateful night...

DiDawn commented on the previous blog post with a really good point: "At the start of the tape you could hear Serena saying, 'I'm so hot. I'm too hot.' Like she was drugged. I'm thinking she was being forced to do something she didn't want to do and fought back, possibly killing the guy then." 

An anonymous poster also suggested that maybe she killed someone out of self defense.  I definitely like this explanation; it makes SO much more sense!  I mean sure, Serena was a "bad girl" before, but she has such a big heart!

Donna posted a REALLY cool suggestion as to what might have happened: "S and G were partying hard with drugs (remember the coke bag?), someone apparently overdosed, so they ran out and left him/her for dead. Later G went back to get the tape, discovered that he/she was still alive. After all, we can't have S as a killer, can we?"  I hope Donna's right!!!

What do you guys think? Any crazy theories out there?  Did Georgina maybe get Serena all drugged up and then make it look like she had killed someone?  Does Serena suffer from a severe mental disorder that causes her to go on killing rampages?  Did Serena work as a hitman for a period of time? (haha, jk!)

And most importantly: Will Serena be able to pull her life back together?!  It looks like she'll only be making things worse in Monday's episode...

Luckily, things are a LOT happier in real life for the GG crew.  Penn Badgley and Blake Lively (who play Dan and Serena respectively) were spotted at the MET party in NYC that celebrated the new costume exhibit by both People.com and PopSugar.

Where was co-star Leighton Meester (aka Blair)?  She was spotted in L.A. by PopSugar, filming scenes for an upcoming Entourage episode that she'll be appearing in!  Kind of weird seeing her in such a non-Blair ensemble...but I'm loving her hair, and I'm totally going to copy it.

The beautiful Kristen Bell, who gives voice to the infamous Gossip Girl but is never actually seen on camera, was also spotted in NYC by PopSugar.  She's filming a new movie, When in Rome.  Anyone seen
Forgetting Sarah Marshall yet?  I heard Kristen is hilarious in it!
