New 'Gossip Girl' episode on Monday night!

Gossipgirl_cast_cwsummer07_240 Everyone is talking about the new Gossip Girl episodes, the first of which we'll (finally!) see on Monday night...It's safe to say that this might be the most highly anticipated return of a show interrupted by the writers strike!

People.com is continuing with their Gossip Girl Countdown, and today they're sharing several pictures of the cast filming new episodes!  To help promote the new episodes, Chace Crawford (GG's Nate Archibald) appeared on the CW's Morning Show yesterday

Also, USA Today ran this HUGE (and super thorough!) article on what to expect in the new episodes...including a possible relationship between Nate and Vanessa???  What do you think...could it work?

GG's Blake Lively (aka Serena van der Woodsen) told USA Today that every episode will make viewers say "OMG! at least three times." She added that the episodes all have "a lot of 'Oh-my-goodness-gracious!' moments. … That's one part of the advertising that's accurate."

But I do have some bad news to share...according to the Washington Post, the CW has announced that they will no longer offer Gossip Girl episodes on their website.  It used to be that you could stream the episodes and watch them on your computer whenever you wanted, but the new episodes will not be available online, in an attempt to boost TV ratings.  What do you think?  Will the CW get higher ratings, or lose Gossip Girl fans who prefer watching the show online?

I think moving GG offline is not the smartest move on the part of the C-Dub. But, we'll see after Monday nights ratings. I mean, the on-tv ratings couldn't probably get much worse, so it's not that big of a gamble.

By stopping streaming video, ratings will NOT decrease because the people that watch offline will continue to do so..

Plus there are millions of streaming sites or itunes, DVR, or reruns of GG that will be shown...so I don't see the problem. If people want to watch it online they will find a way.

But there are a bunch of peoplE that DO watch online because they are too lazy to turn on the tv...well now they will have to...

If anything the ratings will stay the same or increase.

I agree that GG is by far the MOST ANTICIPATED RETURN out of all shows...I hope the RATINGS can live up to the hype (because I already know that the show will..have you seen the new clips on youtube??? I didn't think Gossip Girl could get any better, boy was I wrong...VANDERBASS FAMILY = BEST TV FAMILY EVER!!!!!!!)

EVERYONE WATCH LIVE THIS MONDAY AT 8PM ON CW!!!!!!!!

I only have the Internet. I can't watch on tv or through a tivo or rerun and I definitely cannot afford to buy them off itunes, but I'm a faithful fan and just see this as a stab in the back. I mean they have commercials when it streams, what is the big deal?

The thing is online streaming DOES NOT make money vs. live TV viewing...and viewers seem to forget that's the bottom line.

NETWORKS WANT $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Try watching them on youtube. The episodes are usually up for a day before they are removed...so if you watch it on time...

I don't tink its a "stab in teh back"...Truth is, online viewing from each network isn't always a sure thing...its an "extra feature" that some networks have..but its not something they HAVE to put up on their website...LIVE VIEWING is still the most important!!!

TWO MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!

networks also get money when you watch episodes online... the advertising you see that replaces commercials isn't free
