Gossip Girl - Zap2it's Guide to Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl fans, it's time celebrate: the CW has announced that it will DEFINITELY be bringing Gossip Girl back for a second season!!!

E! Online is reporting that second season Gossip Girl episodes may begin as early as August, and co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage could not be more pleased.

"Didn't know [the pickup] was happening today but I guess—when the show is Gossip Girl—reading it online is as good! Stephanie and I couldn't be happier or more grateful to the CW for all their support. We've had a blast working with this cast and crew, and shooting in NYC has been awesome. We're excited about what's to come in the next five episodes and season two."

We're excited too, Josh!

I wonder how the show's stars will be celebrating today.  We know that Blake Lively has been spotted doing some spring shopping recently...People.com saw her shopping downtown earlier this week at an Armani Exchange!  Armani?  Seems very un-Serena.  But who knows, it could be very Blake!  That girl has quite a fashion sense of her own.  She was up for InStyle.com's Look of the Day earlier this week for her tres chic Dolce and Gabbana dress.

Blake's co-star, Leighton Meester (aka Blair Waldorf) was recently interviewed by Teen Magazine.  She told them that she thinks Gossip Girl is probably actually Chuck's character (as opposed to Eric van der Woodsen, as some rumors have suggested).  She also told them that she's learned not to pay attention to gossip: "If people say negative things, I could care less," she said.

I'm glad it got picked up. Here's hoping for the post-ANTM time slot next year with no switching of the slot.

I´m so glad that they decided to make a second season that I could party all night. The show is pretty goood, and deserves more seasons.
