New Gossip Girl tonight! 'Victor/Victrola'

By Elizabeth Wharton

November 07, 08:02 AM

I'm so excited about tonight's Gossip Girl, that I had to celebrate, so my day started in Blair Waldorf fashion with an almond croissant and a vanilla latte.  I think the only thing yummier than that will be tonight's episode!  (I love that the episode's title, Victor/Victrola, pays homage to the classic Julie Andrews movie-musical, Victor Victoria.)

So I know you're as curious as I am to find out what happens tonight.  Will Jenny tell Blair that Nate kissed her AND admitted that he still cares for Serena?!  Will Dan start falling for Vanessa, and/or will she get in the way with his relationship with Serena?  What is Nate going to do about his father (who apparently has a cocaine problem, and doesn't mind putting the blame on Nate when his mother finds a bag of the stuff)?  And what evil thing will Chuck do (because he always does something evil)?!

According to Zap2It.com, tonight's episode will be filled with drama...and drama is always preceded by the unabashedly dispicable Chuck Bass.  Apparently he spends much of the episode toying with the idea of investing in a burlesque club, primarily to impress his father (but I'm sure he would abuse his discount!).

Serena and Dan will (apparently) finally see past their social differences, past their ex-romances (i.e., Vanessa and Nate) and start to really fall for each other...which we know will be hard for Nate, since we found out two weeks ago that he still cares about her.

But that's not the only thing that will put Nate in a terrible mood: Jenny takes to the unpleasant task of telling Blair that Nate kissed her...thinking she was Serena...and that Nate still has feelings for Serena, which I'm sure will make Blair very upset with him.  And that's not even the worst of it!  I'm sure you haven't forgotten the scene where Nate's mother accuses him of doing drugs, having actually found his father's drugs and assuming they were Nate's, and his father sits back and lets him take the blame.  But Nate isn't going to take it, he's going to stand up to his father and confront him about his drug problems by the end of the episode.  So Chace Crawford (the actor who plays Nate) better act his pants off tonight, because it sounds like Nate is going through a lot!  I think Chace has shown a lot of potential as an actor, and I hope he's able to fulfill that potential in tonight's episode.  Even if he can't, face it: the guy's a hunk and no one will mind watching him anyway!

It also sounds like the usually peaceful Humphrey household will be buzzing with drama tonight, because the report is that Jenny will be learning a scandalous secret her parents have been keeping from her.  (Frankly, I really hope it has to do with cross-dressing, a theme behind the movie Victor Victoria!)

So do NOT forget: GG will be on the CW at 9 p.m. tonight (only a few hours to go)!  Trust me, I know having to go TWO weeks without a new epsiode has been hard, so if you simply cannot wait a moment longer for some Gossip Girl, then check out this steamy and hilarious clip from tonight's episode (apparently from the bizarre imagination of Dan himself)!

We will have so much to discuss tomorrow...

Spoilers from tonight's ep.

I won't go into great detail (like J usually does).

First things first, no Erik in tonight's ep, but all other character's are there including all semi-regular parents.

2 characters lose their virginity in tonight's ep (at least that is implied by what is shown on screen - could end up being just a big tease with both stopping just short as we'll have to wait until next week's ep for 100% confirmation).

Liz (blogger) actually did a very good job of setting up most of the major plot points in this ep.

Dan and Serena are filmed making out in the quad in both picture and video form for GG's blog.

Next week I think we'll get the arrival of another parent (I'm wondering who will be cast in that role).

Lastly, I've decided to call Jenny "exposition girl" - after watching tonight's ep, tell me if you agree or not?

ok so the major points of the show were outlined pretty well except for Chuck. He is so not evil! he is completely human and yah kind of a jerk but not that bad. he hasn't even done anythin that bad-yet. plus he shows a slightly more sensitive side in this epeisode. especially when him and Blair have a thing.
Next i am in love with the whole idea of this burlesque club its so classic and romantic.
Ok lastly were did Victor Victoria come from; that has nothing to do with the episode and im pretty sure that wasn't intentional. Victor/Vitrola comes from this other thing but i forget where.

OMG...CHUCK AND BLAIR...NEW POWER COUPLE ON THE SHOW...their chemistry was amazing, chuck actually seems to care about blair, and the song for them in the end was PERFECT!!!!

"[Chuck] is so not evil! he is completely human and yah kind of a jerk but not that bad. he hasn't even done anythin that bad-yet/"

Except that the first time he saw Jenny, he drugged her and tried to rape her.

Also, B most definitely does NOT have moves!
