'Suits' Season 3b teaser trailer and a 'character's life is in danger'
At the NBC cable day for the 2014 TCA press tour, USA released a new teaser trailer for "Suits" Season 3b, which returns in less than two months -- and picks back up with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) having discovered that there's no record of Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) ever attending Harvard.
"It's going to take a few episodes to get through the Louis portion of it, but it will have ramifications on every character through the last six [episodes]," says creator Aaron Korsh.
Hoffman adds, "As far as uncovering the secret, I think these next six episodes ... in a very smart way, the writers created a much deeper, more dangerous type of situation. It's not something that keeps getting played over and over again. There's a real serious, serious element of deceit."
Another fun thing the viewers can look forward to are some guest stars, like Michael Phelps having a cameo as himself and Gabriel Macht's father, Stephen Macht, guest starring as a professor.
"[My father] plays a Harvard ethics professor who is a large threat to outing [Mike], so I come to try and blackmail him, which is a funny thing, with Harvey trying to blackmail an ethics professor," says Macht. "It was great. We had a great time. It's kind of hard to say, 'You smug son of a b****' to your father, but we had a great time."
Macht also teases that when the show comes back, "one of the character's life is in danger."
"Suits" returns Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
