'Doctor Who': Steven Moffat says Peter Capaldi's Doctor is 'madder, less reliable'
When "Doctor Who" returns, the happy-go-lucky Doctor who fans got used to during Matt Smith and David Tennant's tenures may very well be a thing of the past.
It's already known that the Doctor will be different with Peter Capaldi at the helm, but how different will he be? Showrunner Steven Moffat tells Doctor Who magazine, "The last two Doctors have been 'your boyfriend' Doctors. It was time for the show to flip around. The new version of the show is quite old now."
It sounds like the Doctor isn't exactly going to be the dreamy type companions will fall for. Depending on your thoughts about Clara and the Doctor's relationship, that very well may be a good thing.
"We're going to give Clara a Doctor who is a much older, fiercer, madder, less reliable Doctor who leads her a merry dance," Moffat explains.
As much as Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman) loved the 11th Doctor, a less reliable version is going to be a sight to behold. That opens to door to even crazier adventures.
