'Doctor Who' Season 9 airing without interruption in 2015
Fans of "Doctor Who" won't have to worry about episodes of the show being spaced out over long periods of time because not only is Season 8 going to air uninterrupted beginning in August, Season 9 will do the exact same thing in 2015.
The news comes from Doctor Who magazine (care of Digital Spy), which spoke to Steven Moffat. "We're not going to do splits, and the same format will repeat exactly the following year like that -- so it will be the traditional form," he says.
Season 8 of the show began production Tuesday (Jan. 7), which also brought the first official image of new Doctor Peter Capaldi on set, along with his companion Clara (Jenna Coleman). It looks like the season premiere will pick up right where the Christmas special left off as the two are wearing their same costumes from the Doctor's regeneration scene.
