'Doctor Who': First look at Peter Capaldi's Doctor costume
It's finally happened: The BBC has released the very first photo of Peter Capaldi in his costume for "Doctor Who," and the new Doctor is looking good.
There are some very notable things about the look, like that killer jacket with only the top button fastened. But something that immediately stands out if a lack of tie. After being such a big part of David Tennant and Matt Smith's costumes, Capaldi ditched the shirt accessory.
It doesn't distract from the costume at all, though. Capaldi's Doctor looks sharp in the shirt, vest and jacket combination. The jacket's lining almost seems like a nod to the third Doctor (Jon Pertwee), who often wore a cape with a similar lining.
Capaldi is also wearing much shinier shoes than the two who came before him. With all of the adventures he goes on, it would be wise for the Doctor to invest in a shoe shining kit.
There's still quite a bit of time before Season 8 of "Doctor Who" begins later in the year, but every step closer makes it all even more exciting. What do you think of the costume?
