'The Spoils of Babylon': Kristen Wiig and Tobey Maguire get steamy with Adam Smith
Behold the first clip from IFC's "The Spoils of Babylon," which may contain the sexiest recitation of a quote from Adam Smith's "The Wealth of Nations" in television history.
The miniseries -- which is itself a parody of the epic, 1970s-'80s style of miniseries -- stars Kristen Wiig and Tobey Maguire as adoptive siblings who have a very hard time containing their taboo attraction. So while their father (Tim Robbins) conducts business in the library of their mansion, they try not to kiss each other, resulting in some rather hilarious noseplay.
"The Spoils of Babylon" comes from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Funny or Die and was written by "Saturday Night Live" veterans Andrew Steele and Matt Piedmont. Ferrell also appears on-screen as Eric Jonrosh, the author of the fake novel on which "The Spoils of Babylon" is based.
It premieres at 10 p.m. ET Jan. 9 on IFC.
