Kelly Clarkson's Christmas special: 'Silent Night' with Trisha Yearwood and Reba McEntire
The "Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale" was an ... interesting holiday special on NBC Wednesday (Dec. 11). We weren't really on board with the adorable-moppet-as-narrator schtick and the on-going sketches were hit and miss, but how can you go wrong with Clarkson singing classic holiday tunes?
Clarkson treated viewers to such gems as "Run, Run, Rudolph," "My Favorite Things" from "The Sound of Music," "Please Come Home for Christmas," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "Underneath the Tree," her new holiday song from "Wrapped in Red," Clarkson's Christmas album that just came out.
The highlight of the evening was most definitely the "Silent Night" as a trio with Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood and Reba McEntire. It was beautiful, absolute chills during the a capella section at the end. Video above in case you missed it.
