'Community' Season 5: Trailer and Nathan Fillion re-'affillionated' with the show
It's time to celebrate the upcoming return of "Community" Season 5 with the first trailer video, a possible return by Nathan Fillion and a rather awesome music Vine featuring stars Alison Brie and Danny Pudi.
This will hopefully be enough to keep everyone going until the official Jan. 2 return of "Community."
Season 5 goes dark-ish for Jeff
As Season 4 ended, Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) enjoyed the sweet and unfamiliar taste of success as he finally graduated from Greendale Community College. But that success may be short-lived. It's hard, after all, to be a lawyer when you suddenly have morals and scruples and the interests of humanity at heart.
Thus, Jeff gets his return to Greendale -- as a professor.
Everyone is -- at least briefly -- very happy about this. Except maybe Jeff himself, but that's only to be expected.
Nathan Fillion shows up for the end of filming
Even with a few weeks to go before "Community actually begins its new season, the show has wrapped production on the new episodes. Festivities were many as the actors said goodbye (hopefully not forever), and it looks like -- according to a tweet posted by McHale on Monday (Dec. 9) afternoon -- at least one guest star showed up.
That would be "Castle" star Nathan Fillion.
There really hasn't been too much word on Fillion's guest character on the show. Similarly, it's not clear whether the actor came to the season wrap just to say hi or if he will be a part of the final episode.
Other celebrations of finishing
It was more than just Fillion celebrating the end of work for the "Community" cast. Brie and Pudi (with the camera skills of co-star Jim Rash) made their own fun in the form of a Vine-style music video.
There really is nothing that words can add to the hilarity of what ensued.
"Community" Season 5 premieres Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
