'Arrow': Emily Bett Rickards talks Felicity on 'DC All Access'
"Arrow" actress Emily Bett Rickards always has great things to say about Felicity and that character's place on the show. When Rickards talked to the "DC All Access" web series, all of the actress' charm and fun answers were on display.
Watch the video at the top of the post.
Unless you want to see more footage of people talking about comic books -- and you might -- skipping straight to the Rickards interview is perfectly acceptable. The "Arrow" star first shows up at around the 1:45 mark and talks through to 3:15. Rickards comes back briefly at the very end of the video for some truly amazing freestyle rapping. Really.
The first amusing answer comes to the very first question, when the interviewer points out that Rickards plays the "hottest" tech assistant on TV. "When we're filming, it's not so hot -- 'cause it's freezing in Vancouver," she says. "And I'm in really short dresses a lot of the time."
One of the other highlights of the chat comes when Rickards has to answer some questions about fans 'shipping Oliver and Felicity as "Olicity." She seems pretty amused by the whole thing:
"The passion that comes from #Olicity is like life or death. People always do it in caps-lock. I feel like people are yelling at me when I read them. I'm like, 'OK!' But I don't know if Felicity sees all of that. She just sees the 'What would I do without you?'"
"Arrow" is on hiatus but returns Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
