'Looking': HBO releases first official trailer for upcoming Jonathan Groff series - Watch
Just a few short days after releasing the first look at their new gay-themed series "Looking," HBO has debuted the first official trailer for their upcoming series on Thursday (Nov. 14).
The series, which stars Jonathan Groff ("Glee") and Russell Tovey (the UK version of "Being Human"), centers on the lives of three gay friend living in San Francisco. The show has been dubbed the "gay 'Girls,'" but this trailer seems to point away from that comparison.
Created by Andrew Haigh, the show seems more in line with the filmmaker's intimate film "Weekend," which followed a casual fling as it turned serious over the course of a long weekend. As the trailer hints, "Looking" seems poised to bring the same unapologetic look at sexuality to television.
Check out the trailer for "Looking" above and let us know what you think.
"Looking" premieres Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 p.m., following the "Girls" Season 3 premiere.
