'The Vampire Diaries' first look photos: Katherine helps Caroline get answers from Rick Cosnett's Dr. Wes Maxfield in 'Handle With Care'
Looks like Dr. Wes Maxfield's time for playing coy is up on "The Vampire Diaries."
In episode 6, Katherine takes matters into her own hands and tries to get the truth out of the shady Whitmore College professor in order to live in Caroline's dorm room. Why does she need room and board? Now that everyone knows that her blood is the cure, and Silas is spending his time at the Salvatore mansion, Katherine puts her self-preservation skills to use in "Handle With Care."
What else happens in the episode? Damon and Elena struggle with deciding whether or not to trust Silas, and Tessa gets outsmarted by her ex-fiance.

"Silas happily announces his new goal to Damon and Elena, but they are skeptical when he promises to accomplish one important task in return for their help. Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) confidently tells Stefan about her next move, then realizes that Silas has managed to outsmart her. A desperate Katherine discovers a new and unexpected consequence of becoming human again, and realizes she needs a new place to stay. In exchange for a spot in the dorm room, she offers to show Caroline how to get answers from Dr. Maxfield (guest star Rick Cosnett). Bonnie is touched by Jeremy's strength and determination to stand by her. Finally, Damon is stunned when he figures out the secret to Tessa's plan."
