Marvel planning four new shows and a miniseries
With "Agents of SHIELD" on the air, Marvel is looking to add more TV projects to their growing library. According to a report from Deadline, Marvel is readying a package of 60 episodes, consisting of four different shows and a miniseries.
The plan is to present the package to video on demand sources, like Netflix and Amazon, as well as cable networks, with WGN America rumored as a possibility. Of course, no one at Marvel has any comment on the possibility of more TV shows at this point. With "Agents of SHIELD" finding success though, it's a logical move to try to step further into the TV world.
It was previously reported that Marvel was considering expanding their "Agent Carter" one shot, which was released on the "Iron Man 3" DVD, into a series. It's unknown if that would be part of this package, or if any of the other one shots could also be turned into a show.
