'Walking Dead' Season 4 teaser video: 'More zombies' and 'deeper, darker' stories
AMC's zombie hit "The Walking Dead" invites fans behind the scenes with a new on-set video featuring cast and crew discussing what's ahead in Season 4.
"Yes, there are more zombies than ever before," executive producer Gale Anne Hurd reveals up front. Comic book creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman adds: "The energy on set is higher than its ever been."
And the cast is clearly excited about the show's new direction (one significant behind the scenes change involves Scott Gimple stepping in as showrunner for departing executive producer Glen Mazzara). "We all want to get to storytelling and beating and one-upping what we did last year," says Steven Yeun (Glenn). While Andrew Lincoln (Rick) describes the new direction as "deeper, darker ... bigger and bigger."
Check out more of what's ahead for the prison crew and the challenges the actors (including Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, Chad L. Coleman and Chandler Riggs) say their characters will face in the video above, and don't miss what the cast and crew told us about Season 4 at Comic-Con.
"The Walking Dead" Season 4 premieres Oct. 13 on AMC.
